Ruth and David were nice. However, we paid on the higher end of the Kelly Blue Book value for a 2000 Mazda MPV around September of 2016. Since then, the alternator went out suddenly, and the van developed a severe oil leak and a severe coolant leak. It was overheating and smoking. The check engine light is also on, and weve had a few mechanics look at it. It appears to be catalytic converter problems. Needless-to-say, we have spent $2,000 on repairs so far, and the check engine light is still on, because we cant afford to repair the catalytic converter problem at this time. So, basically, we have spent about $6,000 on a mini van thats still not in great shape. We were trying to avoid a car payment, but we might have been better off going for certified pre-owned.
