In one word....HORRIBLE!!! My son bought a vehicle just six short months ago that ultimately had to be switched out for another car due to how many times the car had issues and needed servicing. He then was given a second car since the 1st could not be fixed to safely be driven and now the second vehicle is also giving them issues. They have had to return to the location several times since February only to be treated as if what is going on is as simple as a damaged $5 item of sort. This is a major purchase one that should be forwarded to the customer after having made sure what ever problems it has are taken care of before selling it. The finance manager was very dismissive of my son and daughter-in-law stating that "this is what happens when you buy used cars". Well no, NO it isnt! Yes, even with new cars you have to expect some problems to come up of course especially a used car, but in just a matter of months...really?! Isnt the dealer supposed to ensure the vehicles are safe and in properly working order before selling them to the consumer? I have purchased many a used cars both privately and commercially and I have NEVER had the kind of issues my son and his fiance have had in six short months...not even one year and already so many problems with not one but now TWO cars! When we expressed our disappointment we are met with excuses and dismissive behavior, again as if the lives and concerns were not valid. My granddaughter and her parents have been stranded on highways and streets all over the city due to the so called issues of a "used car" that led to sudden car shut offs. Now it seems that they are again going to go through the same dismissive behavior as displayed with the previous vehicle. As stated previously in this post the car the first one was replaced with is again giving the young family issues. God forbid something happens to them. Both my son and his fiance have lost hours away from work and school as a result of the many times they have had to bring the cars (plural - not one but now two cars) back to the location for service only to continue having problems. Most, not all, but most of the people and managers who they and I have spoken to have displayed nothing but rudeness and dismissive behavior even though my son and his fiance have all the reason to be upset and request a working vehicle, one that will not require service over an over again or that will put their family in danger, stalling on highway is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! Putting a pretty substantial deposit and paying an over $400 car payment a month to not have a properly working vehicle is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Stay away from this JD BYRIDER, none of the other locations and I have worked with others, have I ever experienced this type of product or behavior. They truly do not care about their customers. I wonder if it were them the ones having to go back and forth, losing money and time away from school and being in danger of being involved in potentially life threatening accidents as a result of stalling cars on busy highways and streets would they like being treated and dismissed as my son and his fiance have. Why is it because they are a young couple that they are being treated like this. What if it were their children or your children having the same issues, would they (you) be ok with it? They went to JD Byrider because they were referred to them as a good place to go and because they needed a working vechile for work and school to support their family and better themselves, but instead they have lost time, money, sense of security as they are always afraid they will end up stuck somewhere and time away from school classes. This is completely unacceptable and nothing is being done for them. Not once has anyone offered them compassion, understanding or offered some sort of compensation in fact they lost money in the whole deal because they money they had already paid into the 1st car, they were told would not transfer to the 2nd car. Please beware!!

Ive just purchased my forth vehicle from them. My credit score has seen a vast improvement since vehicle number one. It still have blemeshes and that makes it hard to get financed through big time dealers. JD Byrider allowed me to trade my last purchse from them for something newer. They asked me the usual "What are you looking for and what kind of payments are you looking to pay?" I told them and they had found a vehicle that fit my needs. In the beginning I was OK with it, then I decided it wasnt. I left without a different vehicle and hours of wasted time for them and myself. The store manager gave it a day and then called me to find out what changed my mind. I broke it down issue by issue and he addressed my concerns with satisfactory answers. We spent over a half hour hashing things out. In the end, he told me he could make me happy with something and even went as far as to giving me a suggested vehicle to think about and asked if I would be open to giving it another shot. I accepted the invitation. When I showed up, they had found second vehicle suggestion for me also. I took the the first for a spin and was completely pleased. No need for the other suggestion. I went to try find a vehicle with a lower payment than my current payment. Although it wasnt as low as I wanted, and as low as the vehicle I decided not to get. It was in a ballpark I can be happy with. I didnt make it easy for them. In fact, I would say that I was a pain in the butt. This did not deter them. They worked diligently and patiently to make me happy and I indeed, walked out, and drove away completely satisfied.

ok, so i know Im super late about this review but something really urks me as I sit here paying my car note and insurance (also with them).I went to JD last year. I only wanted to see what it was about and ask questions. I heard some really shady things about the company but I know some people can be over dramatic. I walked out of there a couple hours later with a car. My main goal was to build my credit and get a car at the same time. The salesman promised that he has seen progress in other peoples credit status. First of all, My credit has not moved much and its been a year. But, thats not why Im writing this review. There may have been a glitch when I was paying my note and insurance online. I do this because every time Ive called someone was either really rude and disconnected and I dont always use the same form of payment. Today I had the day off and going through my voicemail and noticed that these people call from several different numbers. Its just super annoying that its because of the insurance. Ive heard stories of them towing cars if payments are a day late. And, as heart breaking as it is that I have to give them money every two weeks especially because there are times when I have to put things aside just so I can make sure my car doesnt get towed. But, seriously its an insurance payment. So, Im thinking of changing my insurance especially now that Ive got a quote for around the same price but better perks. I have two more years with this company and Im out. Also, their warranty kind of sucks.
