We recently moved Elmsford and a friend suggested us this place. We were very happy to find an Indian store nearby. On Sunday 23rd Nov 14 we went there and bought some chappathis. When we opened it at home we could see the roti was spoiled with fungus on each and every chappathi.I have a toddler at home. Disappointed we went back to the store today @6:35 pm (24th Nov 14). The girl over the counter said I can talk to the manager there. A guy called Praveen comes and we explain our situation. He was so arrogant and rude. He told us this is not his problem as they dont manufacture it. I asked him Arent you supposed to maintain quality of the products you sell ?. He replied to me that he doesnt have to provide me any answers and if I have further questions I should talk to the owner. I asked his number and Praveen said he is out of town. So I asked him how to I contact him. He then handed me a bunch of business cards which were at the counter. I was so shocked the way a person can treat the customer. I left the cards there and came back. I also asked what If my child had fallen sick by eating this chappathi with fungus on it. He again replied that it was not his problem. I am Really disappointed with this store and the person who is in charge! From When did the quality of the products in the store is not the responsibility of the shop owner but of the manufacturer?

We have been shopping here for 3 years. It has always been so-so; but with not many options around, I guess this one does the job. However, recently I bought KESAR mangoes from them (11 mangoes for $28) and guess what?!? all but 2 of them were complete garbage!! I called them to ask what can be done about it and they essentially said "Yeah....not our problem". So I am paying for 11 mangoes that I can eat, I am getting 2 for the price and I, as a customer, has to deal with it! What a business model?!? Never again will we be going to these guys again. I guess saving $28 for them is worth more than all other shopping we would have done from them if they had common business sense. Update: We received VERY bad batch (9/11 mangoes were horrible). After a lot of complain and these reviews and argument, Mr. Kirit agreed to talk to their vendor and see if something could be done about it. Fortunately, we had taken all pictures and he was able to accept those. I still dont agree to the policy of Its your problem if the mangoes are bad. The risk needs to be shared, especially if majority of mangoes are bad. Mr. Kirit allowed us to take another box. This box was much better with only ONE bad mango (SO much more understandable and acceptable!!). Thats why I decided to update my review and give them 3 stars.

Ive been shopping at Bhavik on and off for the past 5 years and it is exactly what you expect it to be. If you are looking for a large super market style Indian store, this isnt it (though I should point out that there arent any in the vicinity). Covering two shop fronts, Bhavik carries merchandise with a variety that is surprising for its size. I have almost always found what I was looking for and it carries seasonal stuff as well (Betal leaves, Mango leaves and the like). All in all, Bhavik more than meets my expectations.

They are okay except when things go wrong. Vegetables arent the freshest and prices are way higher than Patel brothers at Norwalk in Connecticut. They are probably okay in a pinch. I find patels at Connecticut is a lot cheaper and has fresher vegetables.

Good for regular indian groceries and emergency grocery run. They almost doubled their inventory and selection in few years. Slightly expensive than rest. Convenient hours. Min $15 to use bank card is a pain in the neck.

indian grocery story, okay store. items a little more expensive than Patels in norwalk CT. But patels is 30 miles away and bhavik is as far as I know only Indian store in westchester.

Fine place, so happy about that; more expensive than quite many stores in neighboring areas, so overall okayish
