Guy at the wine table was super rude and acted as if I should be more educated about wine. Well Im not and thats why I wanted to learn more about it. He was rude and acted as if I was just coming by to get free wine. Little did he know I had over 200.00 worth of alcohol in my basket on the ground. Also, on my way out the woman checking me out asked the customers in front of me not to call her, maam. She said she thought it was rude. I used my military Id to purchase my things and she called me maam. I asked her why she called me that she said sorry, I wasnt thinking. We laughed it off together. The most appalling part was when I asked if they offered a military discount... She laughed and said, "if we offered a military discount we would go out of business." I said ok I just wondered thank you. Then another employee said to her, what did she ask you? Then she said, "oh she asked if we had a military discount?" They both laughed at me hysterically. I felt so embarrassed. I wanted to say something to her. I wanted to put everything back. I should have. Ill never return. The only good thing I can say is the store was organized and easy to maneuver. The prices are the same as specs who DO OFFER A MILITARY DISCOUNT.

If you are not white, do not shop here! They are very racist here! This white cashier did not ID the white man in front of my boyfriend and I in line, so when it came for us to check out, he didnt even ring up the items yet and asked for an ID, my boyfriend had his ID but I did not, we are in out 30s and do not look younger than 21. He was being rude & told me well I cannot sell you the items since you do not have your ID. Like I understand IDing is the law but come on man, its not like we are under age or even look like it. Then I asked for a manager and the clerk uses his walkie talkie to call the manager & he is literally standing right behind the counter and jumps in. That was very uncalled for, looked very unnecessary, if the manager had seen this issue that was occuring and did nothing until he was called for literally inches away, shows what kind of professionalism they have at this location. I just felt like they didnt want to sell to us because we were Latino. But if I was white, they would let me slide.

Update: 08/05/2017 - the prices on whisky items over the last two years here has completely gone out of control. Items Ive purchased there are up as much as $200 to $500 more per bottle, depending. I started sourcing good stuff elsewhere which is a real shame. This place is just inflating the price because people in this area will pay whatever someone says the product is worth. Its typical of this area and wont change because the model works I guess. I go once every couple months to browse instead of being a regular customer now. Original review 2015: This is my go-to store for anything alcohol - they tend to have the best prices in the area and are always friendly. They have the widest assortment of high end spirits Ive found in my travels, but it sure would be nice if they had some sort of rewards program for customers!

Total Wine is great...in my case, its because of Andy. Andy is awesome. I walked in and said, "I need help!" He helped with purchases to get set up for a weekend party in my home with my future daughter-in-law and her bridesmaids (who know a lot about good wine - i do not - herein was the problem). They loved the wine choices, and there were many! Thanks to Andy!!! He was really busy, and still did not rush me. His choices within each wine group were excellent. He provided information sheets that were used for our own informal wine tasting - They were very impressed! I really appreciate the time and effort spent from someone who really knows his stuff!

Racism European Style - I hate to leave a bad review when one bad seed ruins it for everyone. I was there on Saturday 4/15 trying to pick up some wine and Soju. One gentleman was very sweet and recommended us some really good wine and re-corker. However, my sister and I wanted to try this wine a European sales lady was giving out samples. After waiting for a good 5 minutes, we realize we will never get a sample since she provided to every white person samples instead of us, despite them all showing up after us and being behind us in line. From a business perspective, shes an idiot. Asians love liquor. I guess I should have greeted her with "Hail Hitler."

If they dont have it, it is not booze you are looking for today. A really BIG store with lots of everything. Local north TX liquor, wine and beer as well as national and international brands. Lots of helpful and courteous staff who are knowledgeable about products. Many sample displays on aisle to get a taste before trying. They also have frequent wine, beer and distilled beverage education classes. If you spend any $$$ they are worth going to to be better informed on what and why buy certain items.

Best customer service I have had in a long time! I had a very unique situation with an older vintage wine and the wine manager, Mike, was able to resolve and help me with my problem that was way over and above and beyond what is considered normal service. Thank you so much Mike! You have no idea what a lousy kind of day I had up until that point, and I will forever remember that. Just because of that experience today, I ended up spending another $120 extra in your store. Have a wonderful day!

Do not shop at Total Wines and More. They are overtly racist. The one in Plano at 121 demand of an African American Woman to provide Identification to prove that the Children with her were either hers children or in her guardianship. They do not do that to White people or White women. They also told me that "Black" People steal Hennessy and that is why they keep it under lock and key while the expensive whiskies that White men drink are left out on the open shelf.

Love TW&M! However I cant seem to leave here without spending at least $100. I will say that their wine section is confusing....I still havent been able to find my Carnivore. The beer section is AMAZING! My eyes light up like little Christmas Trees when I go down through it. I can always find something new, big deal for me after spending so much time working at the bar...I have tried many many beers from all over the place.

Heaven is a place on earth. People may find better prices on certain items elsewhere, but I promise they will not beat the selection. From Hibiki to 90 minute IPA. They have nearly any beer, spirit or cigar youll want. Their staff are also knowledgeable about what they are selling and can give meaningful insight. Either the company trains employees on the products or they just hire people passionate about what they sell.

Love their Scotch, Whiskey and Bourbon sections. Their staff is super knowledgeable and very helpful without being pushy or arrogant. The guy in the Scotch aisle is my favorite. We always have a really nice chat and I leave with something new and fun to try. Hes never steered me wrong - really knows his stuff. The place is huge - they have most thing available, though the rare stuff is hard to keep in stock for sure.
