Is it possible to give no stars? Id describe the customer service as terrible, but that presumes there is customer service, which there is not. Every time I need I have to interact with them for anything I know that I better plan on wasted hours walking to the cell phone office. Biggest complaint: They NEVER answer the phone! It rings, and rings, and rings, and nothing. Ive called the office 20 times today at different times during the day and still no one has answered. They claim to be busy, which is certainly true, but they do not have people in the office speaking with them every hour of the day. Coincidence that every time I call every single one of the employees is meeting with someone face-to-face? Ive been in the office in the past when I was the only person being serviced, and there were two different employees sitting in the office talking about dates, while the phone rang and rang... Second biggest complaint: Every time Ive ordered a phone for myself or someone in my family, theyve told me that when the phone comes in theyll let me know. That has never happened. I only find out when I make an effort (since calling doesnt work, that usually means stopping my work to walk to the office and ask, all so I dont interrupt the date talk...). Shoot, most my communication attempts are to determine whether or not my phone has arrived. If theyd follow through with their initial commitment to letting me know when my phone arrives, I wouldnt even be trying to get ahold of them-thered be no need. I get it...these are student employees. However, theyre suppose to be providing a service, and theyre not.

The BYU Cell Phone Office absolutely sucks. They do not know how to keep good records and makes mistakes all the time. Just when you think you are viable for an upgrade you find out that you are not, even after they have taken the time to call you multiple times about how you should get your new upgrade. Also, Sprint has super bad service all over campus and it is sad how many calls get dropped because of it. They take forever to order new phones and do not do well with customers who have last minute emergencies. Yes, they offer good deals every now and then but its to get you trapped into two year contracts. They also charge extra to set up voice mail, which is just stupid, because voice mail should already be a part of the contract. Whenever I have had an issues, different student employees give me different information and it gets so confusing. One person will tell me that my contract ends in August, while the other says it ends in April. It is just ridiculous.

We have been needing to transfer service and the whole process has been a nightmare. One, they never answer the phones. Two, they very rarely respond to emails. So really, the only way to talk with someone is to go in personally, which weve done numerous times in the last two days. And since everyone is doing that, the wait is forever to talk to someone. We have received different information from multiple people on what to do; all that information has been incorrect concerning what we need to do to transfer service. Finally, someone recognized what has been going wrong and has said we will get an email with detailed instructions. We have been waiting half the day and that email has yet to arrive. Now we have Verizon calling us to let us know that the information they received from the BYU Cell Phone Office is incorrect. Point being, dont get a cell phone from the BYU Cell Phone Office.

Customer service from the BYU cell phone office has been outstanding! Unlike most cell phone companies, when you call them, you actually talk to a human being. Its like a weird flashback to the 80s when companies had that silly notion that customer service was about helping the customer, not "monetizing" them. Another thing thats shocking after dealing with other cell phone companies is that the people you talk to at the BYU cell phone office actually know what they are doing. Its downright freaky! The plan you get if you are BYU faculty or an employee is excellent. As for the Sprint network, well, lets be honest, its dreadful. I see around 5-10 times better data speed on AT&T. Even Verizon is better.

One star because zero isnt available. Incompetent employees, extremely long waits in the office, its actually impossible to reach them via phone (which is ironic, since theyre supposed to be a cell phone office), and after all this, they still actually managed to tell me my phone was "activated" when it was incapable of making calls, texts, or connecting to AT&Ts wireless network. What did they even spend three hours on? AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Every experience Ive had with the BYU Cell Phone Office over the last 2+ years has been fantastic! They are always so helpful and kind! I had a new phone update this month and went in this morning to activate the new phone. They got me in so quickly and helped me transfer information from my other phone in just a few short minutes. Ive always had a great experience with their office!

Worst customer service ever. I dread every trip I make to this office - which are required since the website functionality is nonexistent and its impossible to get anyone on the phone. The employees clearly are not motivated to be helpful. Maybe its the price we have to pay for getting cheap cell phone service.

Courteous and competent assistance. Havent dealed to much with them but the brief experience i had worth them was positive. Update: I had two instances in which I needed their assistance and they were really accommodating.

I will understand that they "might have high call traffic" but after a week of call and no answer back from BYU office is very frustrating. No calls backs this is why you are getting -1 star if i could mark it

Terrible customer service. Nobody ever answers. Dude was a tool and had the nerve to take off the screen covers from the front and back of my phone. I was livid.
