Before I decided to stop going to this PetC0, first time a guy behind the counter counting crickets for a guy waiting for an extended time. The guy came up ask, "are those my crickets?" The guy had been waiting over half-hour, cricket guy said about 10 min. The customer was very frustrated! I stood there waiting for someone to ring my items, not once did cricket guy think of calling for counter help. So early evening the 12th I decided to give the store another try. Ask if the Groomer had time to trim up LuLulucy. This was a chore trying to explain the trim. Yikes! Groomer did a fairly good job shell get better over time. I wld make an appointment w/her again, it WOULDNT be at petco! I wrote my check for ten over to tip the Groomer. The manager denianed me to do so. Im asking, why I purchased lrg bag Blue Freedom &1bag of treats from them! Went to Safeway wrote my check over for ten dollars,no problem! Drove to Pet co gave Groomer 9 dollars. I made sure to let the manager know, WELL NEVER BUY THERE! My cousin and I spend A LOT of money a month, for our pups! Ill drive to Pet Smart off Union, or PetPro. ILL NEVER BUY AT 6TH AVE PET CO!

The good: animals seem fairly healthy and the store is decently clean aside from slightly cluttered. Also most of the staff is fairly helpful. The bad: ok this will sound bad, but there is no need to beat around the bush. There us a certain employee that is nice enough but...nearly impossible to have a conversation with due to the body odor, yellow teeth and swollen red gums that seem to be developing gingivitis. I would recommend having a sit down with the employee and explaining that personal hygiene and proper tooth brushing is somewhat of a requirement in customer service. As bad as I feel for having to write this I know for a fact Im not alone. The only other thing I have to comention on are the dog rescue people that frequent the store in weekends. As noble and amazing they are for rescuing these animals I would recommend that they themselves get proper training for handling canines. The baby talk and treating them as a human is a bad situition to be put in if you happen to be a dog. Also when a puppy is so obviously a pit bull mix...dont try and pawn it off as a lab. I mean cmon its not Lord Voldemort ..just tell it like it is.

I have shopped at both major pet stores over the years with no real complaints. The last time I was in this particular store I noticed how dirty it really was. I had planned on buying a few fresh water fish. Most of the aquariums had a few dead fish in each tank. To me you really dont care if at least a single employee could not dig them out. I spent some time looking for help. When I did she was rude as if I was inconveniencing her. I politely declined help and left. I will say I will not return again. Business is business if a restaurant or pet supply. If you cannot be good a being polite why be open.

This is the worst Petco Ive been to. They are always slow ringing you up and getting help for you. Today I saw how bad they actually are. My fiance and I were looking at their reptiles and playing with the snakes through the glass when a worker rudely said "can you not touch the glad I just cleaned it. I have to spend hours cleaning this glass" This is terrible customer service and dettered us from buying any reptiles. When we went to check out the cashier was even slower than usual because in between items she was texting. Worst Petco I have been to.

I would give this store 0 stars if it werent for katelyn giving me a discount on a tank due to the fact they were out of the lids for the 20 gallon tank which came with all the necessities. How ever the tank broke a day later and then then they continued to tell me I did not sell the tank I purchased at all (which a very rude tone!!) i jimmy rigged the tank and was told the wrong price of the snake I wanted I payed an extra $80!!!!! I will never shop at pet smart again, unless I get a letter of apology and a new tank. PETSMART All THE WAY

We are never greeted as we enter the store and never asked if we need help no matter how long we are in the store for. We also had our 25lb dog groomed and they charged over $60 and STILL missed a mat behind her right ear. I asked her for a price quote over the phone and she said shed have to see the dog first, and even after that she didnt tell us the price. There are many other pet stores in the area, I highly recommend patronizing one that values their customers a bit more and doesnt charge an arm and a leg for simple grooming services.

Went in expecting it to be quick and painless, grab a couple of fish for my daughter and head home. That was not the case, the employee at that section ignored me, our eyes met but he walked away ignoring my very existence. At that point I assume he was almost off work, so I went to another employee to seek help I was directed back to the fish section but he was no longer anywhere to be found, wasted 15 minutes of my time after work and got nothing, terrible service will not return to this location again.

Long waits, understaffed, dirty cluttered store. I stood at the resister for 5 min before someone came to help me. wasnt even sure there was anyone working. I then waited another 15 min for someone to help me with fish. I decided to go to another petco after seeing the mass amount of dead fish in the tanks. I also noticed a foul smell coming from a bucket of dead gold fish sitting on the counter. Lakewood petco was much cleaner and friendlier.

I come here from gig harbor for all my saltwater fish needs. John and Jason both are very knowledgable and helpful with all my questions, comments, or concerns. Free water and testing and great prices so this should be everyones first stop for any aquarium needs! Thanks for the great help guys!

I have tried to call the customer service multiple times. No one has answered my calls and at one point someone even picked up only to hang up on me. I can only imagine how they run their stores if theyre already this way when it comes to answering their phones.

Horrible customer service. Worst customer service I have experienced in many years. Older red head woman I asked for help was rude and no help. Cashier looked like she just rolled out of bed and was extremely short with me. Just not what I expected for a Petco.

Use to love this place but they quit selling my cats favorite food there and the long wait in line became consistently a normal thing and I just didnt have the time anymore to always be waiting for help because they dont staff enough employees.
