High prices, but an awesome selection of foods from nearly nearly every major ethnic cuisine. However, I have to echo what so many others have said: SOOO many items are without a price label on the shelf! Not only that, those items that do have price labels under them often do not match the item that is above it. One must be very careful! This has been an ongoing problem with Saraga for as long as I have been going there which is over 10 years. Management should start a policy that allows customers to get items free of charge if the label is not present. That might give them the motivation to improve, but I wont hold my breath. I think they take their customers for granted since they are the only store of its kind in the area apart from smaller stores that sell only one or two ethnic cuisines.

Huge selection of instant noodles if you are into that! Try the Wai Wai noodles (they are freaking awesome and vegetarian, I think!) Its usually very crowded and from a vegetarians perspective - stay away from the perimeter which is where all the meat and fish sections are. They have all sorts of international food from African to South-East Asian to Asian to the Indian subcontinent. Additionally they also sell a lot of stainless steel cookware which is great. Essentially, the store recreates the feeling of going to your local corner grocer ( from my perspective) that sells everything from grain to steelware to plastics. They have some gas stoves as well the kinds most Indians are aware of from what they were used to back home. Also, this place is huge! Definitely worth a visit.

This grocery store is amazing. Yes, it is extremely cluttered, and no, its not the cleanest, most spotless place in the world, the checkout lines are slow, but the selection is out of this world. I have been able to learn about so many new kinds of fruits and vegetables just walking through the produce aisle. You can buy any cut of any kind of meat, kosher, halal, whatever you want. They have foods from all over Asia and Africa, and eastern Europe, all at extremely reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this grocery to any adventurous eater who wants to take a culinary tour around the world. The clientele are very diverse and friendly, and its nice to have that bastion of multiculturalism in the sea of white that is Indianapolis.

Lots of items on shelves have no tags: no prices or product names (some items have only non-English writing on their packaging). Being a niche grocery store offering food items unfamiliar to many customers this is an inexcusable oversight. The management should concentrate much more effort on cleanliness. General price level on common food items is quite a bit higher than in other stores. So, if you are not looking for an "exotic" item you are better off in any other Indianapolis grocery store. The food placement is strange: found tea on one shelf and then on another in a different aisle. Any reason for that aside from inability to focus attention on customers convenience?

This place is everything right with America! Incredible selection, impecible quality with 0 snotty hipster vibe. A fish counter to rival anything seen on the coasts the brings in the fish live in tanks for the best quality. Two buchers counters, one Hispanic and one Hallal. A fresh fruit and veggie section bigger than chain groceries with much better selection. And its the only place in Indiana where Sun Ramen is so commercially (in the asian freezer isle.) (Thats right, its a whole isle.) Also, there are two authentic restaurants and a bakery leasing space inside. If you live within an hour, its worth the drive to come here every weekend.

That thing youre looking for? The one you cant find at any of the other grocery stores in town? Youll find it at Saraga. It may take some wandering up and down the aisles, but youll find it. This isnt a tourist trap place with lots of gimmicks (Im looking at you, Jungle Jims), its an everyday grocery store for people whose favorite foods come from places outside of this little pocket of the world. So if you need fufu flour, soba noodles, and mustard oil, this is probably the one place youll find all of them in the same store. Also great for stocking up on produce and bulk staples like grains and beans. A real lifesaver if you cook a lot!

One of the best international markets around! I can find almost anything I need here because of their large variety that includes: Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, Filipino, Arabic, Japanese, Jamaican, Indian, etc. The fresh seafood and meats is amazing, and prices are incredibly cheap for quality food. I suggest going in the morning for the best produce. My favorite part is the bakery though. The workers are always so friendly, and I LOVE the bread rolls stuff with jalapenos and cheese. They make them fresh every few hours <3

Huge fan of Saraga. Its the best international market in town. Huge selection for a ton of nationalities. Great produce, meat, and seafood selection at reasonable prices. Its my go to store for alit of produce that elsewhere is considered special and sold at a premium, but at Saraga is just another fruit/vegetable. They also have a lot of produce that you simply wont find elsewhere. Very good mushroom, peppers, and herbs varieties, among others. The bakery is an awesome little hidden gem!

When you first walk in it smells of what I imagine a slaughterhouse would smell like. You will not receive any assistance whatsoever. There is a wide variety of items to choose from, I will give them that. The produce selection is plentiful but dicey. My checkout experience and interaction with the cashier was awkward, uncomfortable, and not pleasant at all. My teenage daughter noticed the rude disposition. I will not return as I did not feel welcomed in the establishment.

HUGE selection of spices, flours and ingredients from all over the world, most at better prices than anywhere else. Reasonably priced fresh produce from all over as well. If youre looking for hard-to-find beef or pork organ meats or parts, or things like goat, rabbit or black chickens, this is the place. Also inside: a separate halal butcher, a small Mexican bakery, an Asian fast-wok micro restaurant, and a Taquería. Have fun roaming the aisles and discovering new things!

Large store but dirty. Coolers have rust on them and very unsanitary and the place stinks. A chain grocery would never allow this place to stay open. Saraga is a place for all kinds of bacteria to breed. Produce is sub quality so really look close and meat I would not even touch. Shelves have no prices and if they do they are wrong, you best bet is can goods, bottled and bagged goods. But check the dates. They do have some good prices but why take the chance.

I personally love this place. However if you want a American style grocery where everything is immaculate and well-organized this is not your place. They have a immense Seafood section. I have never really seen a bigger one anywhere including in Seattle or Florida. If you want food that you cannot find at a Kroger this is your place. Dont be that person that is too good to go in there step out of your comfort zone and find some amazing food at very good prices.
