If youve driven up or down Lamar, just north of Book People, your attention has probably been distracted by the soft and sexy glow of LOVE... literally, they have the circus theme "L-O-V-E" letters hanging in the window. Curiosity got the best of me the other day and I finally pulled in. With just one go-around, I was really impressed with their prices, especially with their smaller accents. Metallic-rose candle holders, hour glasses, and even jewelry were priced under $20! Many of the pieces seem more like art rather than furniture thus it made for an entertaining jaunt. I had the opportunity to speak with one of the owners, David Hook. Hes definitely proud yet appreciative of the work he and his wife have put not only into their Lamar location but at their warehouse location on Pressler. If you ever find yourself stuck in the horrid down time of rush hour, pull over, let it pass, and enjoy yourself inside Jaya!
