My boyfriend and I had planned on buying a hamster and all supplies from this store. We arrived at 8:15 pm. We wanted to come at night to see the hamsters active since they are nocturnal creatures. No one offered to help us the entire time we were there. My boyfriend found an employee in the fish/small pets area and asked her about the different breeds of hamster. Instead of walking over to the hamster area to help us and ultimately make a large sale, she just told him "the long-haired are the friendliest". We could have saved time if she would have helped us out a bit but instead we ended up picking out a cage, bedding, food, toys, etc., by ourselves. It was literally 8:55pm when we were ready to check out. We just needed the girl to put our chosen hamster in a container to transport her home. I asked for her assistance and she told us she would be over in a minute to help. She was also her cellphone. When she finally came over to us, she said "we are closed. You can check out the stuff you have but thats it- we open at 9am tomorrow". My boyfriend and I put down the $150.00 worth of merch and walked out. I guess PetCo is the place to go.

We took our dog to the groomers to get nails clipped and my dog was very scared but the groomer was very mean to my dog she really pulled her and her harness almost came off. And I didnt know nobody else was aloud back there and I said could I help you calm my dog and help you get her back there and this other groomer said no nobody else is aloud back here very rudely and I said well I dont want my dog to get injured and I said just forget it let me have my dog back and they had the worst attitudes and I told the manager about it and she didnt do anything about it horrible manager. Never take your dog here for grooming!

Their Goldfish and other fresh and saltwater fish are gorgeous. Theyre also in great health. Theyre selection is superior to Petcos selection many times over. Wouldnt recommend their betta selection. Go to Petco if youre looking for a betta fish. Otherwise most people were very friendly and the other pets seemed to be well taken care of. Especially the geckos. I have a leopard Gecko thats super happy and healthy from here.

Although they have a good fish selction they didnt have the one my son wanted. But an awesome employee offer to call other stores to check. We ended up buying one that they had because of her explanation and knowledge convinced us. I still think their prices are really high, (thats why only 3 stars). We buy dog food but never from here because of the price. Their awesome customer service keeps me coming back.

Sometimes find good sales, smaller type mom and pop pet stores offer better prices by far.... But petsmart is just a chain out for money like any corporation, dog was injured during a grooming process at the bel air petsmart, just try to stick to local/neighborhood type places.

Worst hair cut on my dog, will never go there again. She was even cut on her stomach. Had to ask to get nails cut, when we went to pick her up. EVEN THOUGH I ASKED WHEN I DROPPED HER OFF. YOU SHAVED A BISCHON INSTEAD OF CUTTING LIKE YOU TOLD ME. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Ok place for pet supplies. I wont buy fish here as there are always lots of dead fish floating in the tanks. Employees seem too lazy to clean out the bodies.
