I was extremely disappointed that the "Certified:" (ha-ha) 2013 Subaru Legacy I bought four months ago at Ganley Subaru west side. The car uses oil like crazy because of malfunctioning piston rings-- the short block of the engine has to be replaced. I researched the car before buying it, but it got good reviews. But the oil light in the car came on 3000 miles after my first oil change (that cost $80 due to the high grade disappearing oil). Although Subaru has been successfully sued over this, no recall is in place. Thousands of Subarus are at risk for a blown engine because Subaru pretended there was not a structural issue with the cars engine . The sales man, Chris, failed to tell me that there is an extended warranty on the 2013 Legacy because of the oil consumption problem. If he had told me, I would not have bought the car. So now I am stuck with the inconvenience of the repair, if the repair is actually effective in the long run. This problem can affect the rest of the motor, not just the short block. And since the 2013 Legacy is known to be defective, this will decrease the trade in value of the car. The used car manager Steve was a real jerk when I finally got ahold of him after calling three times. I left a voice mail that he never returned. When I called and talked to him, he said that I should call Subaru headquarters, that the dealership had nothing to do with Subaru even though they sell their cars. He also said he was "trying to help me" by recommending I quickly sell the car to some other poor unsuspecting idiot, just like someone sold it to me. I told him that the car obviously was defective when I purchased it and I wanted t bring it back, He basically told me to forget that idea, that I was stuck with this lemon and that I should "be happy" that Subaru would fix the engine that was defective. I am NOT HAPPY that I am in $16,000 to a car loan for a car that may never be right. So, I can see where the deceptive sales practices of the salesman Chris came from---his manager. I did call Subaru "customer support" (where I was on hold for 27 minutes) to talk to some guy who also told me, very politely, tough luck. It is interesting that when I called to buy the car, the call was answered in less than a minute. When they already had my money and I needed help with the car, I was on hold for almost a half hour. DO NOT buy a Subaru-they have mechanical engine problems. DO NOT buy from this bunch of greed mongering cheats. Had they been honest with me, I would consider buying a different Subaru without oil consumption problems, But they were not honest, so I will never buy another Subaru. I wish there were zero stars in the review choice, because thats what I would give this dealership.

Well i thought id get a deal but to say the least no deal on my part. Walked into the dealer ready to lease a new subaru for my wife. No sales person walked up to us and asked for help instead we had to ask a sales person. The "Kind" salesman said "Oh im to busy, here Igor will help you out. Get to Igor and cant understand half of what he is saying. i know this isnt entirely his fault but I tried to let it go. Then he started taking the numbers for the mileage per year and made them short. again I should have caught this but we needed a car. Now Igor will call constantly but we dont answer the phone because its an unknown number to us but refuses to leave a message. still waiting for the lease plates to come in 3 weeks later. Since igor went short on the lease mileage we will have to pay over $1500 and this is an estimate after the lease term. Needless to say I cannot wait to get out of this car and take my business elsewhere, nothing but crooks at this location. I wish i had the name of the other salesmand that shrugged us off but I do not. The finance portion was also a headache, sat down and since I know a little about cars (ASE Master certified) I said only the extended warranty. He stil tried to sell us the works, Paint protection, wheel and tire protection, Dent and Ding, Ect. I about walked out at this point but like stated we needed the car now. So they didnt have the car on the lot, said it would take a few weeks but i knew they would get sooner this is the ONLY good thing about the experience. We go out and look over the car, looks like NOBODY touched the car in detail department and somebody drove the car from Michigan on dealer trade. Front of car was covered in bugs, coffee spills in cup holder. I mean Why the hell didnt this get taken care of prior to us picking up the car?? so they took it to detail got the bugs off missed more than a dozen still, by this point it was 8pm so we just took the car and left. on the drive home we cause both see noting but streaks on all the windows. Very Very frustating experience and like stated will NEVER deal with this location again. I wil be surprised if this even hits the review line since it seems its only "Good" reviews.

I have purchased cars from a "dealerships" in the past and have had such horrible experiences i stopped doing so about 1994, opting to buy from private sellers (used cars obviously). Well it came time to suck it up (emotionally) and buy (lease) new again. This was an unbelievably POSITIVE experience for us. Who knew there were such professionals in the Auto Sales Industry: Rainier Ortiz, top flight salesman, new to Ganley, hell new to Cleveland came from the east coast. I figure Federal Witness Protection Program, but he says no... I wonder. Years of obvious car sales experience, I am certain this is not his first 5 star review. If you get a chance, hopefully you will see the personality of the Sales Department when you meet Carlo, the names sounds mysterious but he is everything but. A regular Dad, doing what Dads do, working hard, working honest and I am sure raising wonderful young men. Maybe he can go into the education field, GREAT GUY. Okay now that brings us to the final player, the F & I guy/gal (Finance and Insurance) this is the place that in the past I have gone to slaughter. This is where the dealership saps every last penny from you. NOT HERE, Bob (Robert to his Mother) was a perfect dessert to a wonderful meal. Adding just the right amount of sugar (in this case the Scheduled Service Agreement) to our deal. I am not going to mention the dealerships that have killed me, and others that I have first hand knowledge, in this final stage! Well what the heck - Metro Toyota and Spitzer Kia. Need a car, need a break from the usual suspects, go to Ganley Subaru West - All my best Jeff Janosik

I have spent close to $5000 on repairs for my subaru. I was told by Ganley that if all of these repairs were made, my car would last at least 100,000 more miles. The repairs were made in February 2016 and then I had a simple repair done in April 2016. After that was fixed, I was given a check off list showing everything on my car as good. I brought the car back recently because its idling very roughly. This time I was told my steering column was out, brake fluids need flushed, and this will cost over 2200. I ask what could have happened to the steering column, and Ray says its the age of my car and this happened over a period of years. I then ask why did Ganley check off the steering column, brake fluids as good in April. He said that maybe my steering column couldnt be properly visualized. Hmmm...then why check it off as good? I did tell him to repair the transmission issue that was causing the idling. Guess what, my car still idles. Either your technicians are liars or incompetent, or both??! After this fiasco, I took my car to 2 different garages. Both said it looked like my engine mount is cracked. Why did Ganley Subaru not notice this? Im very upset and disappointed. I will never recommend Ganley to anyone, and will never buy anything from this dealer. Its turned into a financial nightmare for me.
