The people here are amazing. They are very friendly to my dog as well as me. We went here to get treats for our dog and they have a good selection. Your dog is allowed to sample the treats to see which ones they like and dont like. Our dog got a little carried away and helped herself to some out of the bucket and they did not go off. Even when we offered to pay they told us no it was okay. They were very knowledgeable about their products and answered all questions we had. They also have this bucket that u can purchase and it give you a discount every time you use it. They have reasonable prices and its better than the pre packaged treats yout can buy. The people here are really great to animals and they all came out and was very nice and playful with our dog who can be a little excitable sometimes and they didnt mind they played with her and loved on her. They also have water outside available for dogs which is something little but it shows their care for animals which is very important to me. I would highly recommend everyone at least give this place a try.

When I first went here I was looking for a specific dog food for our new great dane puppy. They provided us a list that listed the best foods for large breed puppies based on calcium content. (Something I hadnt considered) but they werent pushy about it at all. They provided us a coupon book since this was our first visit. And made many recommendations based on the specific breed and age puppy we had. Staff was SUPER knowledgeable and answered any question we had. They made sure to help us find what we needed. Not was the most expensive. Anyone that owns a dog or cat NEEDS to come here. Very good prices as well. Ended up getting better quality food at a cheaper price than we paid at Petco.

I am so truly sorry that the manager of "Mud Bay" in University Place was recently fired. This is a hardworking and dedicated woman who was well respected by all of the employees and loved by the customers and the employees. The scuttlebutt is she was getting older! We are all aging and look forward to retiring but not this way! I will boycott all Mud Bay stores (ESPECIALLY Mud Bay in University Place, in Washington State) as well as encourage everyone I have contact with to stop purchasing Mud Bay pet products from OTHER businesses UNTIL this woman "Ruth" is rehired and this practice of firing due to ageism has to be STOPPED! We live in the U.S. of America! Wake up people!

I usually never do reviews but this place is literally a life saver! I have two dogs, both have medical issues and very sensitive stomachs so I have to be very careful what I feed them. The staff is so knowlegable and if they dont have an answer they will make sure they look it up and get one for you. They helped me find both kinds of food for my dogs and (Kyle) even remembered me and my dogs when I came in again! I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants the best for their pet!

I went to Mud Bay in UP with my newly adopted Chihuahua after a friend recommended it when we wanted to find a good brand of dry food. As soon as I asked they immediately sent me with several different sample bags of high quality food. My chihuahua loved the first one he tried. Every time we came back for a specific problem we were always helped by friendly, knowledgeable staff and my baby always got a treat at checkout. Wayyyyyy better than petco across the board.

I love this store. They were very helpful when it came to picking a food for my dog. The workers are very kind & patient. My favorite part is they have sample food bags you can give to your dog for them to try before you buy a huge bag. The food is all high quality & at an amazing price! Better & cheaper than major pet stores. They also have cat supplies & things for little pets like guinea pigs.

My pup has food allergies to potato and sweet potato. That young lady read every bag until she found ones Georgia can eat. And she found safe treats as well. She spent a great deal of time to help and we both learned a lot. Try finding that kind of dedication anywhere else, even in human food places. Thank you Mud Bay staff. Pup is growing healthy.
