Well I was not expecting to buy a car this weekend, but here I am! Just bought my first new car and my first Subaru (Impreza!) through Miguel Reyes. Having driven my 98 Honda Civic for the last 15 years with 0 maintenance issues, I was a bit wary of looking elsewhere but Subarus reputation for safety and reliability caught my attention. I had been doing a lot of research on pricing and emailed at least 7 dealerships around the Bay Area all the way through Sacramento and down to San Jose. Negotiating for the price I wanted was difficult across the board and some dealerships just didnt even respond. I was close to giving up after many back and forth responses, but decided to walk into this location and was greeting by Miguel right away. We had actually visited this dealership earlier this year too, just to look, and he remembered us from 9 months ago! He was super friendly, polite, and eager to provide good service. Even though it was toward the end of the day, he took his time showing me the cars they had available and was knowledgeable about the brand (I asked where the 2017 models were made and Miguel knew right away..the guy at Serramonte totally fibbed and told me theyre still made in Japan. While this might not matter to some, it was important to me..a good salesman should always know his/her product!). It took maybe half an hour to discuss and get to the right price for my budget and needs, but Miguel was patient, not pushy, and willing to work with me on numbers. This is in contrast to other dealerships that were pretty inflexible in negotiating with me. Hes also throwing in a cargo net...plus a keychain?? :) so these extra little goodies are extra icing on the cake. I was told not to purchase a car if it didnt "feel right"--either the price or the salesman I was dealing with. Im glad I found the right deal through Miguel and highly recommend him if youre looking for a new Subaru. Thank you, Miguel! PS - Theres a great promo going on right now for new Subaru buyers--2 season passes for Sierra-at-Tahoe ($439 value per pass) if you buy a new car by January 3, 2017. Now is a great time to start looking if thats extra incentive. Cant wait to pack my snowboard in the back of my new Impreza and head up to Tahoe this winter!

I had a great experience buying my new 2017 Subaru Outback with Sales Consultant, Dominic Bati. I was originally interested in buying a 2017 Subaru Crosstrek so I scheduled an appointment with Putnam Subaru for a test drive. Prior to the appointment, Dom made sure that I had all the essential information I needed about the car - available options and packages, trim features, etc. During our appointment, I told him more about my interests in camping and going on road trips. Doms keen intuition led him to recommend the Outback and let me test drive it. To my surprise, it suited my needs better than the Crosstrek and exceeded my expectations. I continued to shop around online for the best price for the Premium trim with the highest option, and was intending to add leather seats down the line for an extra price. Since not all dealerships in the area had the exact car I wanted in stock (including Putnam), I decided to settle and purchase the car from another dealership for a decent price since I needed the car sooner rather than later. I notified Dom about my decision and to my surprise, he was able to offer me the Limited trim with the highest option for a great price. After verifying that the current dealership couldnt beat or match Putnams price, I decided to purchase my Outback from Putnam. The very next day, we came in and despite being busy assisting other customers, Dom was able to help us with finalizing paperwork, reviewing finance options, and getting the new car very efficiently. Not only that, he also made the visit quite enjoyable by being very personable and easy to work with. Overall, my first experience shopping for a new car was great, thanks to Putnam Subaru and particularly, Dominic Bati. Highly recommended!

Had completely dissatisfactory experience at Putnam Subaru, Burlingame today. I visited today for, 1) Synthetic Oil Change and 2) Explore Subaru Legacy for purchase 1) Oil Change: I called them yesterday asked if they would honor Oakland Subaru Dealers coupon, which was for 79.99 for Synthetic Oil Change and Tire Rotation, I was told, bring coupon, and approve by the Manager. However, Today, the service Manager said, We can give 99.99, We cannot honor Oakland Subarus price because our cost is higher, later General Manager said we need to be profitable, so we cannot accept other dealers coupon, yet, for one time, she did give me 79.99. It was simple, I called, confirmed, I didnt have to go through all these. 2) Legacy Purchase: My next question to the GM and his sales person at the floor was, if service cost is higher when compared with a valid coupon price at other Subaru dealer nearby, how can I be assured that I wont be paying much higher price for my new Subaru purchase at Putnam??? He said, Sales and Service are different. I am however skeptical to believe that anymore. Later, As I was walking out after the service was done, GM came to the door and said, We did give you 79.99 and even vacuumed your car, we will appreciate if you put that as well in your reviews. I wasnt going to exaggerate like all these reviews which you can clearly feel like "may be" it wasnt posted by real customers, and instead by someone from within the dealer, again, I am not sure, I did mention to the GM that I will share my experience today at Putnam so other people are aware. Personally, I will never never never return to this dealer, whether for absolutely any purchase or service

Worst dealership experience ever!!! I wouldnt leave a 1 star even. Yesterday 05/14/2017 at around 2pm I went with my PREGNANT wife to check few Subaru models and test drive them. First, front door was closed when the sign said open until 7pm. Then a guy (Salesman N1) jumped out of the office just to send us back at the parking lot to wait until he sends ANOTHER salesman to speak with us. Nobody showed for 15 minutes, so we went back to check in the office. At the door we met Salesman N2 who said that he was with clients and disappeared. We were the only customers in that place. We entered in the office, and there was nobody, but a single salesman (Salesman N3) sitting and watching the TV. He said he cannot help us but he can look for ANOTHER guy to help us. He said he would look for "help" and disappeared. At this moment we were alone in the dealership, I could probably run away with a WRX. In 5 minutes Salesman N1 came out of the restrooms with the question "Did you find a salesman to help you? ...LOL I was already laughing at this POOR place - Putnam Subaru of Burlingame. Then he did it again, he said "There should be a salesman at the parking lot waiting for you". After that my PREGNANT wife said we should leave. Anyway I checked and nobody was at the parking lot. MOST PATHETIC and POOR DEALERSHIP EVER. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THESE PATHETIC PEOPLE. Go south 101 and you will find a better and decent Subaru dealer that will take the time to show you and sell you the car you want.
