I called up James Ford to order a featherlight horse trailer. The guy, Jimmy, was pretty nice and quoted a price that was pretty good. I sent a couple emails asking for certain specs that he was slow to respond to, if he responded at all. I made an appointment to come in and discuss purchasing. I met with Jimmy, the salesman. He refused to haggle at all. Thats fine. I then asked to get a couple of hundred dollars in extras included. He refused that as well. He then told me he would get back to me later that day with the cost of an extra that I needed. He never did. The whole experience with him left me less than enthused. He acted like he was the one doing me the favor. After waiting a week I decided that I was crazy for waiting on him to actually getting around to feeling like making a sale. The next place I called had such great customer service and bent over backwards for me. Every question was promptly answered, even from the salesmans personal phone at 8pm. I got a great deal with lots of extras and purchased a brand new trailer from them. It was a bigger model than I originally wanted but I am very happy with it. Another week after, Jimmy from Ford had the nerve to email me to see if I was still interested in the trailer that he put no effort into getting me to buy... Needless to say, I was not interested anymore. Having said that, I am now in the market of purchasing a new truck to pull my new bigger horse trailer. Guess where I WONT be going to make the purchase! To James Ford and their salesforce: You guys have now lost a sale twice from a customer who would have been a return customer. Oh well, its your business and I wont tell you how to run it. I wont tell you anything at all since you will never see me again!

Buy a car elsewhere. Pay an independent auto appraiser to inspect the car if you make the mistake of considering business with this dealership. If I were Ford, I would be embarrassed to allow them to conduct business under my umbrella. My wife and I purchased a used Ford Escape we found through an online search. They assured us the car was "superclean" in their ads, a "5 out of 5" condition over the phone, and repeatedly referenced their 100 point inspection and their "Customer Satisfaction Guarantee" where you can "buy with Confidence" (sic). It took 5 seconds to see the car had problems from a distance, most noticeably that 85% of the car had been cheaply repainted without even trying to match the original paint. We immediately contacted the dealer, who stalled until after the 3 day return policy, and then denied our claim for a return or reimbursement to paint the car to the condition it was advertised. We hired an independent car appraiser to evaluate the car and he verified the "very poor quality" repaint job that they did not disclose--all despite the fact their inspection claimed the exterior was great. We sent them photographs and detailed reports from auto professionals to verify our claims. After they received our payment for the car, any desire to treat us with respect disappeared. Our claims were met with denial, delay, and rudeness. If this dealership chooses to pay to restore to the car to the condition they advertised, I will update this review. Until then, my 6 weeks of business with this dealership result in the worst review I could provide to any business in my lifetime.

This is for the service department only. First time I took my Lincoln in, under warranty, they told me my warranty was expired when it certainly was not. After a while, maybe a day or two, they finally found the typo error and went ahead to fix the problem I was having that fell under the warranty. During that visit, I was asked why I did not take advantage of the free oil service and told us to come back for the 15 month service check. I responded that I have my own service guy but would take them up on the offer on the next oil change. Fast forward to last week, I took it in for the oil change and 15 month service and then I was told its actually not free. So, I ended up having to pay for the service that I would have gotten hooked up with by my own people anyway. Whatever. I paid and decided Im not coming back here for service any more. I like the guys here and everyone is cool, but it seems theres always something that I didnt expect to have to deal with. Its too bad. On a separate note, making an appointment through the online service does not work. My review of the dealership, 5 stars, I had a great experience working with Gerald Watson!

Take you business to these folks. The people are kind, the vehicles are really nice and if you want to take a used vehicle to get inspected theyll let you. Just ask to speak to Jim or Jimmy or Lacy in sales, they always have a kind how are you, just real good people. The mechanics in the back are great too! Rebuilt my brake system on my 05 Tahoe, a Chevy at a Ford store right? They dont mind, they do it right every time! Great Store just like Diane said. Trucks, Mustangs, and commuter cars too!

I have been going to James Ford since I moved to the Coast 24 years ago. They are totally the best! Unlike a lot of car dealerships in the SF Bay area, you can talk to and work with the same sales and service people every time you visit - even if your last sales visit was 6 years ago! And they really know their business. Ive dealt with Gerald in Sales and Darryl in Service for years, and have only good things to say about them. This is a dealership you can trust.

Called em up on a Lexus. Salesman told me it was a one owner car on the phone and said they were negotiable. Spent an hour on highway 92. got there and the dealer jerked us around for an hour. Wouldnt let my wife talk. Sales manger wouldnt negotiate. Didnt even have the courtesy to shake my hand when he walked off and snubbed me. Salesman continued to try to argue with my wife about the fact that the oversized wheels rubbing the fender was "normal". STAY AWAY

I bought a used Ford Focus in March of this year and had a very professional sales representative ( Gerald Watson ) help me through the process of " car buying" Mr Watson took his time explaining everything that I could think of to ask him, in a very patient manner. I had to go for some minor issues to my car and Mr Watson and Ford HMB was very accommodating. I had a very pleasant experience and have absolutely no complaints! Good job Ford HMB Cynthia Moos

Nous devions faire une vidange dhuile sur notre VR et ils ont pu nous le faire sans rendez-vous. Lattente nous a permis de découvrir le centre ville de Half-Moon Bay que nous aurions manqué sinon. Merci!

Ive always had my services down at James Ford since I bought my Transit 6yrs ago. Last week was the 90K service and when I got my car back it was driving like a new car. The needed repairs and associated costs, which were a lot lower than I expected, were clearly communicated with me and explained before hand. The car was ready on time as promised. Great dealer and service department.
