Take it from someone who does this for a living, unless bottom barrel pricing is your only criteria, youll do better to visit a real tile showroom. The warehouse is poorly lit, the tiles are not clearly marked by style or price, and the few loose tiles laying on top are no guarantee as to the quality of whats boxed below them. In our case, the samples we pulled looked fine, but the boxes picked up had flaws on almost every single piece. This is not a case of an occasional chip or odd fleck, as you might expect at a surplus store. It was just someone elses trash, boxed up and sold to us. Worst of all, the owner would not even return my calls to discuss the situation. We just had to eat the cost. If youre up for stumbling around an un-airconditioned warehouse or dirt tile lot, wasting hours just to save a few cents, go for it. Youll have to look through many ugly, cheap-looking designs to find anything attractive. Once you do, just hope your materials are useable and that you dont run out, because youll likely never match the lot again. Otherwise, youll be better served visiting a real store like Pro Source Flooring on Dragon Street. They have a high percentage of attractive designs at a still-reasonable price, their sales people are knowledgeable, and they stand behind what they sell. l learned my lesson the hard way. Never again.

Yes, you MIGHT find a great bargin. No, it isnt likely to be on your first or second or third trip but if you live long enough and have lots of time, you might see this place as a goldmine. Ive never been able to come out buying anything. Not that things could change, but Ive found other places that have good deals. I read the reviews and the review by the first 2 comments seem more accurate. The review after Jules about finding beautiful tile looks like it was a review by the business to offset the bad comments previoulsy written. I agree with the first 2 people. I gave up on the place after several attempts to find materials I needed, and at a reasonable price. There are better places where you come away with what you need and for a good deal.

Great for larger items like vanities, sinks, or doors. The first time they actually asked for ID to use my credit card and made me come back when it had my maiden name on it with different ID which I was impressed with. The tile selection is very slim compared to a place like Floor and Decor and didnt seem to change much. However, the prices were great so when they have what you need its fabulous! A travertine mosaic was only $4 sqft and a set of pre hung French doors was $400 for a huge 62" all glass span. Some other items were on par with other places. The only catch here is no returns or refunds so make sure whatever you buy its exactly what you need.

Just loaded up our cabinets and vanity for our barndiminium! The service Keenan provided was awesome from start to finish. He helped us design the kitchen layout, pick out the finishes, and set us up with the hardware we needed. Super easy and an enjoyable experience, not like the other places we had visited before. Today when we picked the cabinets up Keenan and Ron worked super hard in the heat trying to make everything fit into the trailer. We are so excited to get these home and installed and are thankful for the great experience we had with Builders Surplus, particularly Keenan and Ron!

Thanks to Kyle, Joe and Zaida. Kyle made a 30" exterior door with a doggie door and window with blind. He did a great job on a specially made door. When I picked up that door I decided to buy another exterior door for my front door. Joe assisted me but they didnt have the one I wanted with the handles on the right hand side so Kyle gave me another one a little more expensive for the same price. What a great experience! And when picking my special order Zaida made it very easy to get all the paperwork done quickly! I thank then for such great service, being so friendly and helpful.

Today was my first time to visit Builders Surplus. I had an idea of what I was looking for but after 3 days of searching other stores, I was not able to find it anywhere under $500. I spoke to Andy and explained what I needed, expecting the same results. I was very pleased to discover that not only did they have what I wanted, but it was $200 cheaper. In the future, I will start with Builders Surplus and stop wasting my time. Andy was very helpful and it was a pleasure doing business. Thank You.......

This is one of my favorite places. The staff is incredible. Some places dont help over the phone but they are happy to assist you on the phone and have your purchase ready to load when you arrive. I live close to another Builder Surplus and drive 30+ miles out of my way to do business here. The newer store manager (Tim) is top notch in customer service. This place is unsurpassed with great deals and creating happy customers.

The Garland location is very very awesome. The service is superior and the prices are more than competitive. Britt was amazing when I was in need of new cabinets for a whole home project I was working on. She saved me money and had them ready just two days after I ordered. I will not even think about using anyone else for my building needs other than builders surplus in Garland. A big thanks to them and Britt. Yee Haw.

Just bought an exterior door for a new house we are building from the Garland location. Great selection! Great prices! Salesman, Don, was extremely helpful! Need many more things for the house and plan to shop more when we pick up the door tomorrow! Check Builders Surplus of DFW before you go to any other store for doors, door and cabinet hardware, granite counters, light fixtures, kitchen sinks and so much more!

I went here just looking for prices on a door for a bedroom, Andy helped me find what I was looking for, measured it to make sure it matched my measurements, and even picked out a door knob for me. I didnt have to do anything at all. The service here was so friendly and energetic from the time I walked in til the time I left. I will definitely be back. Great prices and great service.

What a great place! Prices are better than anywhere else, lots of staff to help answer any questions or help guide you if your a novice like me. Will was so very helpful, saw me trying to lift wood flooring and jumped right in to pick it up and carry to the register for me. What a help that was. I recommend this place to everyone and I will be back, I have a lot to do!
