I have never seen a pet store with more depressing looking animals. I asked a couple of the employees about it and always got the same response from all of them. They are nocturnal. Ok I get that some of the animals you carry are nocturnal but ALL OF THEM???? I dont think so. The birds are constantly squealing and squawking and I have watched bird fights break out. There are too many birds for that small amount of space and not enough for them to do. Hardly any toys present in their cage. We walked through the aquarium area and I have never seen so many dead fish floating in tanks. The rodent section is depressing. No toys and nothing for them to do. They just lay there and look at you. Occasionally the mice get on the wheel, but thats the only thing we saw in there to release energy. The ferrets are sad looking. They love to play with cat toys and anything shiny. Not much going on in there either. I have to say this is literally one of the worst pet stores I have ever seen. They arent interested in the well being of their pets, they are interested in one thing and one thing only and that is cold hard cash. Yeah maybe their prices are a little cheaper then other pet stores but its really not worth it. Why spend money somewhere that the pets dont truly matter. I think this is a matter to be taken seriously. They need to treat the animals that they are trying to find homes for the way you would want your own pet to be treated.... Like family!!!!! I will never again step foot into one of their stores. If you really want a store that loves and truly cares for pets (including your own) I would suggest the Petsmart out at Cascade Parkway. Sure its a little further out but its really worth the drive and the couple dollars more.

When my Irish Cocker Spaniel was about 6 month old it was learned that he was almost blind. After intensive surgery he was able to see about 10 ft. away. Because he had a lot of fear he would try snarl & to bite others. I went over and told Petco about his situation. They told me to bring him over anyway. I wanted him to have all the basic training. We then began training with him a couple of times each week for the next 4-5 months. They kept it one on one. His trainers, (he had two) were just wonderful. He got to love them both & would do what ever they told him. In the end they really helped him to be pretty well behaved. He still has his moments, but they worked very hard to "socialize" him & make him acceptable in society. He is getting better. He still has his moments, but they are few & far between. He is now almost 3 yrs. old, & if Petco was not able to train him with me, he would have been sent away by now. The store though needs some work as far as personnel, and having enough employees working in front.

i went here to get my dog groomed and a woman with the name starting with a W messed up my dogs haircut. I repeateadly showed her pics of how i wanted my poodles hair cut. First off she took over 6 hours to groom him. Also she complained to me that my dog peed on the grooming table. I thought to myself of course he would he was locked up for like over 6 hours! She ended up cutting all of his hair hair. My dog was not matted he gets combed about 3x a week. I was very frustrated but tried to remain calm and leave. I decided that i would call and let her manager know what happened. Only for the manager to transfer me to the groomer. She was very rude about the situation and basically laughed in my face. She even hung up on me. Very unprofessional and she should not be working here. Dont bring your dogs here to get groomed! BEWARE!

I am trying to support local stores with local staff but after shopping here for a large dog remote trainer and paying the retail price of $139.99 I was shocked that they advertise this same product online for $51,99! And better yet you can get the same trainer at Petsmart for $45 and you can have amazon ship it to your door for $41! Yes, they will price match but now they have wasted my time, I have to go back to the store. I know this is not a staff problem, if I was to rate the staff they would be a solid 4+, they were friendly and staffed an extra register so I didnt have to wait too long. This is more of a corporate policy rating, treat your customers in the stores better than online and youll make it. Treat customers like a mark and youll lose any loyality you had to begin with.

The worst experience Ive ever experienced. I had bought over 70 dollars in fish and 2 koi/large goldfish had died and I was told we could bring the fish back within 30 days if they did die. I brought them back and first off they were so rude before I even was talking they asked for a translator for me just because Im Hispanic before even seeing that did speak English. they said I needed to bring a sample of the water in but they did not say that before only if they die within 30 days you can bring them back. Never go to this pet store they do not keep their word or even know their own policies to let their customers know. They are liars and racist jerks! All their fish are unhealthy! 5-31-2016

My 150lb dog sat in a cage for over 2 hours. No water,no interaction. The only reason I learned this is because I called at the time she was supposed to be finished. She hadnt even been started. Had I not called,she would still be sitting in a small cage without any water,in a room full of doggie dryers. Approx 20 degrees warmer than the rest of the store Store manager didnt appear to have much to say,and I walked away from him When I told them I would be in to get my dog,I was offered a 10 (ten) dollar discount for their neglect/incompetence DO NOT USE THIS GROOMERAND SPREAD THE WORD SO NO OTHER ANIMAL HAS TO BE NEGLECTED

Im very disappointed in this store, went in to buy 3 Seresto flea collars online price is $40 each in store is $80 each. I asked if they would honor the online price since I was there and I live 40 miles away, the response I got was " we can order them for you" swell thanks but I could do that also. all in all I will not be returning to them as I found them on a great website for way cheaper and only 2 days (free) shipping and not 5 days as it would take petco. thank you for having great customer service

Waited forever for assistance in aquarium area. Then asked at the register for assistance in aquarium area. Heard my request over load speaker twice! No one came, so I left saying, I can do better else ware. Im on my way to "The Wet Spot" in Portland! I am in the market for more fish, live aquarium plants, back screan for my 55 gal. tank, two fluorescent bulbs and a nice sunken ship. The best thing is, I get to take my business ELSEWHERE!
