I only reserve 5 stars for those who standout above any and all businesses. Not just the competition. After relying on the grocery stores and occasional trips to petco for my pet needs I decided about 8-9 months ago I would go to Mud Bay and support a local business. Very happy I made that decision because my cats and dog have never been happier. How? Well my dog who Ive had the longest loves the treats I buy there. He lives for treats. Hes an older rescue who doesnt play. Not even with toys. The difference in treats compared to grocery store brands seems to have changed his life. It makes me feel like Im giving my rescue the best second half of life. Hes so much happier. My Bengal cat, who I have had for almost a year gets all his toys there. He loves the Okocat litter they sell and Mud Bay has very competitive prices on this litter. My Bengal is extremely picky with everything from toys to litter to beds and food/treats. Everything he has ever liked has come from Mud Bay and few things he likes from elsewhere. My new kitten Ive had for 5 days seems to love their toys so far. I adopted her from Feline Friends on Steamboat island. They gave me coupons for cat food and litter to use at Mud Bay. Instead of trying to sell me stuff that may not end up working out, the woman working helped me by giving me tons of samples of treats plus wet and dry food. Way more than I expected. Now I can go back in a few weeks and know precisely what my kitten likes. Its refreshing to not have someone heckle me and try to sell me the whole store. She also showed me how to trim my kittens nails, something Ive never done on my own before since my Bengal was adopted with no front claws. She spoke to me about a few other things I didnt know about cats and caring for them. This is all stuff I would never get from a petco employee, especially the samples. I cant imagine shopping anywhere else as long as I live around a Mud Bay.

We had moved up from Cali with our super senior "pup." Our dog was getting familiar with the new environment which can always be stressful on the dog as well. She wasnt eating anything! We finally went to mud bay, and the employees there let us sample some cans. Still no luck. The young lady really wanted to help and suggested some other foods! Bingo! Our Doris was eating like she use too! It was a true blessing! She never use to eat treats either! Sure enough she loves the treats from there! They are always so welcoming and asking about Doris, petting and talking to her because shes a regular :)

WE LOVE MUD BAY!!! They have been my trusted go-to pet care store for many years now. The one we know, love, and respect is the one on Harrison St. in west Olympia. They are amazing! Everyone is so helpful, kind, understanding and knowledgeable. They have helped out little 4-leggeds out in many rough spots! Thank you so much for being the go to store for us and being so king! I know its the luxury store for pets, but it would be nice if the prices were just a little lower! Other than that? You guys are amazing and great! Thank you for your years of being there for us!

We LOVE Mud Bay they have been around for a long time and are super helpful and friendly! Much like you expect from a little local store they get to know your dog(s) and you. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for; quality products that last (unless you have my super chewer) and healthy high quality dog food. We feed raw and when we dont order the big batch quick enough we go there to get us through a couple of days. They are always giving away freebies at events and have sample sized shampoos if you ask. Great to try before you buy!

We adopted our cat two years ago and received some coupons for this place. We have been coming ever since. Prices can be a fraction higher here, but the value is more than worth it. I feel so much better shopping here than the big box chains. Our cat loves the blueberry chicken or fish dry foods and the Tiki Cat wet foods. The sales associates are always extremely nice and helpful.

Best place to anything for your pets. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, super helpful, and kind. If anything is wrong with your product... or your pet doesnt like it - they will take it back without issue. Really - I wont buy food or other items for my pet any place else. Thank you MBG!

I absolutely love mud bay!! The staff there is top notch and very helpful. I hate going anywhere also for my pets needs since competitors dont seem to have the same compassion for their jobs. I only wish they sold fish food so I could get all my pet needs there.
