My concern is not for the groomers (most of which are kind people) so much as it is with the conditions of space that they must work in to groom our beloved animals. The Lacey salon has two washing stations in the back but yet have 8 grooming stations which the public can view. There is always tons of hair from the dogs on the floor, and always looks a little filthy because no one is assigned routinely to sweep away the hair so that it wont look so unsightly. I have gone there for a number of years and will now go with the groomer who has taken a job in a private grooming company. I also suggest they might want to put a monitor up front so that the public can see in the back and see how overcrowded conditions are back there while the other dogs are being kept in their cages. I am surprised that a health inspection isnt done on pet salons, and Petsmart should be monitored not only in Lacey but nationwide for a healthy atmosphere for both the groomers and our pets. There is absolutely no reason these animals should be kept and groomed in such a small space!

PetSmart isnt a horrible place it is just big and much like a whorehouse store doesnt have enough staff to help those who need it. If you are going in; know what you want and dont need help great. If you can get a staff member they are helpful. (Side note they are trying to change they fired all of their managing staff, corporate stepped in and either moved or hired new managers.) Prices are ok, quality is the same ranging from cheap and poor quality to not so bad and a little more in price. BEWARE Grooming! It has been a long time since this has happened so things may have changed but they clipped my Springers nails so low that they all bled except for 2 and didnt put anything on it to stop them. He had blood blots all over his white fur. He also had patches of super low cut fur (he didnt go in for a hair cut). Winston wouldnt step foot into the store for months. Like I said this was a long time ago (5 years ago) but I am just not willing to risk it.

I went here to get a Shock training collar for my Dog to aid in his training. He tend to take off when we are hiking in the woods after anything that moves. I asked to see one and was met with an employee and manager telling me to use their dog training classes instead because it was more "fun" and Humane. They then went went on telling me the collar was the same price of the classes and they would refund me the money if the classes didnt work. I had to insist on just looking at this product. Regardless i went to Cabelas and got one which by the way worked within 10 min. He now comes when called even when distracted. I did shock myself so i could understand how much to shock its not bad. lol

Im new to the area and took my miniature schnauzer here for a cut. I had her completely shaved which we usually do once a year. The poor thing looked awful after her cut. Her ears werent trimmed at all in the inside or out which can cause her major issues, they gave her a unibrow and you could clearly see where the clippers started and ended. They also took her to see their vet over a schnauzer bump and insisted that it was an absence which once I took her to my own vet they assured me it was just a schnauzer bump. Im glad that they were looking out for her but I felt they werent well educated and she looked terrible afterwards. We will never be going here again for grooming.

Just went in there to have my dogs nails trimmed and they refused to do it since they cant prove her rabies shot is up to date in their computer even though I have her vaccinations done someplace else and she even has the tag that said she got them... this place is out to get your money. Every time I take her in there, even when I had her enrolled in there program (banfield), they were trying to get in to my wallet for some thing or another. This place sucks for customer service and is more concerned on how loose you are with your wallet than your animals wellbeing.

I had a great experience in Petsmart quite by accident. I was looking to stock my 10gal tank and Petco had all the fish under observation. This led to me going to Petsmart. I won't lie, they were busy, and there weren't enough staff in the aquarium department. I still felt like me needs were paid attention to as she helped 3 other customers at the same time. She then helped me when she was done, she even asked my tank size to make sure I wasn't stocking to many fish. Another plus, the huge selection of happy healthy looking fish.

I went to this store yesterday to purchase Frontline flea treatment. I had to flag down a staff member, who told me to check at the veterinary counter. Nobody was there, and no bell was evident, so I waited until a harried looking, unsmiling man came out and informed me that they were closed and I would not be able to purchase that type of item until the following day. Why would I go back there when I can buy the same item for the same price elsewhere from friendlier people?

My dog Charlie had a grooming appointment on monday. He was suppose to get a bath and get checked for fleas with nail trimming. When picking him up I asked if any fleas were detected since he has been scratching a lot. Rachael assured she did not see anything. We were surprised that there was no fresh or clean scent on him after returning home, but upon detailed checking found fleas on him. I took my dog somewhere else now snd Petsmart will not receive my business again.

The staff does not care to know or help you figure out the right options for you and your pet. They mostly just say something thats popular and hope you go away. This Banfield needs to get a better system together I have elected to not take my pets there anymore because it took 4 visits to get what they were supposed to do on the first one done taking different days all weeks apart.

This is my main stop for dog items such as leashes, collars, toys, and such. I was recommended shoppig at MudBay for such things but their prices were ten dollars more for the same item at PetSmart. Same quality and everything. Grant it there isnt alot of staff but if you do find one and talk to them they are very helpful. Great place.

the training class we were taking was great and we had planned to continue our training. ... until some new manager decided to cut instructors and make the classes BIGGER WITH MORE UNTRAINED ANIMALS IN THE SAME SMALL CLASS AREA....UNREAL ...SO WE AND SEVERAL OTHERS LEFT. PLAN TO FOLLOW THE ORIGINAL TRAINER WHEREVER SHE ENDS UP

Good selection of pet supplies, decent Banfield and groomers are always willing to take walk-ins if the schedule has space (I dont go on popular days though). I like to shop the clearance toys to save a little bit of money. The staff does seem to hang out a bit much and could spend more time helping customers.
