I had an awful experience shopping here today; I dont even want to rate it any stars. I came into town from North Carolina and tomorrow is my 13 year old sisters first day back at school. We decided to go to Bealls because the clothes are cute and her style. Upon arrival, I walked in the store and questioned whether or not it was open because I did not see any staff up front or at any of the registers until I heard someone welcome us (atleast that was nice). Within 10 minutes of arriving, I kindly went up to the counter and asked the staff if they had any measuring tape because my sister didnt know her waist size. I didnt think they would have any but I thought Id ask anyways. The response I got back from one of the employees was, "This isnt a Victorias Secret. Go into the dressing rooms". I brushed off the response and continued shopping with my sister. After scavenging we had a lot of clothing to try on in the dressing rooms. I was not told that the limit was 6 items per dressing room. It could have very well been my fault that I did not see any sign. But, it was just a small mistake. In my lifetime, I have never been in a fitting room where you couldnt have more than one person in there at a time. So, I go into a fitting room with my sister and we start trying on clothes. After 10 minutes, an employee starts rudely stating, "Theres only supposed to be one person in a fitting room at a time and you cannot have more than 6 items." She stated this again as I was trying to gather up the clothes apart from the other 6 items that were going to stay. She then proceeded to open the fitting room door and poke her head in and tell us "there is only one person allowed in here", WHILE my little sister had nothing but her top ungergarment on. I was fully clothed and Im pretty sure I was more horrified than my sister that an employee would do that. As I was leaving my sister to try on her clothes without my approval, the employee again said "there is not allowed to be more than 6 items". I said a firm "okay" and stood outside the dressing room door so I can talk to my little sister about her clothing options. The employee asked if I needed a cart and I said "no thank you" but proceeded to get me one anyways. She then asked me if I would like to sit in a chair away from the fitting rooms. At this point, I dont think the offer was genuine. I felt as though she was being a little passive aggresive. I stood outside and waited for my sister to be done. At this point I was getting extremely impatient and wanted to leave right away after that encounter. As my sister was trying on clothes, the employee told this mother and daughter there was only allowed to be one person per fitting room. They werent responding and so the employee called in back up, and once the mom and daughter came out of the fitting room, they said that they thought the employee was talking to someone else and they didnt know and that they were daughter and mother. The employee apologized and said that she didnt know they were daughter and mother. If family can be in a dressing room together, can I not be in a fitting room with my little sister? I then proceeded to check out and the employee tried to make light of it and say "Im sorry about peeking in at you. We have just had a lot of theft" She was in the right by apologizing, I will say that. I probably wouldnt have walked out the store without an apology. She should have aimed her apology more at my sister. My sister was humiliated in front of other shoppers at the fitting rooms. My sister was embarrased to come out of the dressing rooms. I was angry that an employee invaded our privacy and didnt give us any time to get dressed and come out. I was angry that her tone of voice with me and other shoppers was rude and disrespectful. If it wasnt for my sister needing clothes for back to school, I would have dropped the clothes on the floor and walked right out. I couldnt stand to be in there. I couldnt even look her in the eye while she was ringing up the clothes so I didnt get a name. Not returning.

Friendly staff will assist you with anything you need. The store is clean with a great atmoshere. If you see something you like, get it then as they get new items every delivery. Highly recommended.

Two separate stores in one location. One store was almost all womens clothing. Wow! I tried on many clothes, and bought theee outfits! That mever happens to me in one shopping trip to one store!

Interesting place, they carry a wide selection of goods, having two locations, one focusing on name brand menswear and household, the secondary location on womens attire. Friendly staff !

Successful thinking

Love this store. so many great buys (especially for baby clothes). some of the clothes run small & its inconvenient to do exchanges. but usually dressing rooms are full when i go.

Love this store. The prices are unbeatable, especially for their board shorts. Dont waste your money at a high dollar place with this place so close!
