It was my first time at an Aldis. I was super weary of the quality of their products...only because I believed rumors of the meat not being great and I heard the produce wasnt fresh but let me tell you! The strawberries I got yesterday were some of the best Ive ever had. Juicy and flavourful. I had my husband try them since hes the one that heard the produce rumor and he sure changed his mind quickly. I bought chicken legs to grill and the price was to die for and the chicken was fresh. Super juicy too! My husband ended up eating 5 legs at dinner alone and he ate the leftovers for lunch the next day. Which says a lot because we are "that family" that just keeps leftovers for the sake of storing them in the fridge until they make their way to the garbage. I filled my cart and since Im on a strict budget I was so worried I had gone over...I do every time at Walmart....BUT I actually came in at budget ($10 over compared to the $60+ I go over other places). I left feeling great! Like "Yes! Im going home and showing the family all I bought today!!" I think Ive switched for good now. Aldis is amazing! At least the one in Cottage Grove MN is.

I like to shop here however they are not very friendly to handicapped people. It is annoying when their cashiers get to sit down all day at a cash register and when I have to go pack my bags I have to stand at a counter. I have problems with my back and it would be nice if they would offer some form of seating for those who are handicapped and can stand for very long. With that being said I have to walk with my cart through the store, they offer nothing to help me get my way through the store like a motor cart or wheelchair. Id like to see them be more handicap friendly.

1st experience at the Cotage Grove Aldi will probably be the last. The cashier literally threw our items in the cart. I had to move my eggs so they wouldnt get smashed. When my husband asked if she always threw things in the cart...she said she wasnt throwing them. Ok? We talked to the manager and left. How you treat your customers says a lot. Hyvee and Cub treat me wonderfully, so they will get my business.

As a grocery store is great, but today at 7:58pm I met with Melissa, who was a cashier that started disrespectfully yelling me. When she finished the transaction, she started sweeping the floor near the entrance of the store, and she swept the dust on me, and she didnt even wait until I go through the area. I hope they provide better training for their staff.

Modern Aldi that is well kept. The staff are friendly too. I have been to others before and this is my favorite. Only reservation is winter and the parking lot. It is an oddly shaped lot and it ( at least this year) has been icy. They dont salt it well and I advise people to be extra careful.

Prices are good the Aldi brand products are hit or miss. Somethings have great flavor others not so much. Fruit and vegetables are always good here. They take a day or so to get ready to eat so thats nice they dont go bad as quickly then.

The folks that work here are genuinely kind and really want you to find what you are looking for. Anybody can carry produce but not all have GREAT SERVICE. I come here every week and the service in consistent.
