This is in response to Ms. Lofton: County Line Pawn prides itself on outstanding customer care and service, and has been in business for over 30 years. County Line Pawn goes above and beyond by not exceeding the 25% interest rate, and we provide a 10 day grace period which is not industry standard. Being in business this long, we have thousands of customers that we serve and take care of on a daily basis. We understand that in the pawn business, that folks from time to time HAVE to go to a pawn shop, they never WANT to. With that being said, we understand that emotions can run high when doing business with us, and we make every effort possible to make the process as painless as possible. In this particular case , the loan was eleven days late, not eleven hours late, and the interest rate was discounted from 25% to 12.5%, to try and make this a little less of a hardship for her. County Line is very proud of what we do and the service we provide. We are always here to help folks that need it most, and will continue to be, just as we have for over 30 years. Unfortunately in this particular situation, we could not make this customer happy, no matter what we offered her. Wes, one of the owners is a liar and charlatan. He comes across as friendly, open, and empathetic. He understands that hardships caused you to come in and they are there to help. He asked permission to call to me so would remind me of the deadline to claim my property. THE CALL NEVER CAME . I was charged the standard $125 in interest and another $125 for being 11 hrs past the pick up time. When I tried to reason with him, all compassion was gone. He was cold and indifferent and unmoved by my emotional distress. His employee, father, and personal visitors looked on while I stood there distraught. "Its a business" ..he says.What happened to the person that showed me pictures of his dog? The person that shared stories of his family vacation? He said hed be willing to work with me. .and was glad he was able to help? I PAID for a valuable lesson. Never do business with someone that presents themselves as a solution to your misfortune. Clearly, they intend to gain from it. Ignore the kind words. .thats how I got pulled in. Beware of the Hyena (After catching their prey, spotted hyenas celebrate by making a sound like a laugh.) Our original transaction ended with smiles and laughter. I implore you to consider ALL OTHER OPTIONS before pawning or selling your hearts treasures to THEM.

i went there to do a gold transaction. i had about 14 pieces of gold. after talking for a minute with the first guy he decided he couldnt help so he had his boss the owner come check out the gold. after one minute with him i just wanted to walk out. when you do a sale you talk to the person your dealing with. this guy had my gold chains in his hand and scuffs them on a block to see if they are real, stops and starts to talk to his friends about his kids foot ball game. then after 3 minutes he comes back to deal with me. then he tells me he will give me a certain amount of money for my chain because its 24 karat gold. after a few minute and conversations with his friends and coworkers about everything else. he has a price on the gold. as we are about to complete the sale he decides to change the price to a much lower price. he said that the chain is not real but he will buy it anyway. i end up walking out with my scratched up gold in my hand. if you go to this place you will see its not very well organized and everything is dusty and dirty. the person that reviewed this place TomC works for them and would give a good review. last but not least the customer service is laughable.

Lowballers and BS artists. I brought in a Danelectro guitar and a practice amp. The owner or manager walked in while I was trying to negotiate, first he didnt know what a Danelectro is, calling it a "Darelectro" inquisitively as he walked by it. I tried to explain that it had value because it was rare and difficult to find, you couldnt find many on the Internet. He picked it up and said "I dont know it feels light" as if the weight of a guitar had something to do with its value, I tried to explain to him that Danelectros are often made of plastic and composite materials instead of wood so yes they would be lighter than most guitars, but he interrupted me to explain that "hes been dealing with Danelectros for 25 years" then offered me $100 on my stuff that wouldnt sell for less than $400 on the Internet. I ended up going to Big Deal Pawn on Bells Ferry and got $250 with no BS.

These guys are great! To the person with the negative review, they HAVE to rub your gold on the plate to do the acid test to make sure it is real. It does not harm the gold in any way. Ive pawned many things with these guys and they have always been very professional, friendly, and helpful. If youve got music equipment to pawn, ask for Darren. He knows about music equipment and gives very fair prices!
