This Florence pharmacy should be sued. I asked to get my prescription for a few days given I left mine at home, 4hrs away. I was denied. The next day, Monday, my nurse calls to confirm in the future, because I have a revolving prescription, I couldve gone into the pharmacy and asked for a transfer. And this nurse has done this multiple times when traveling. Im a veteran, and Ive never had such a battle with a Safeway pharmacy before. When I asked today how was it that I was denied, the pharmacy excused the woman by saying she works in a different store that doesnt do transfers, or some lame excuse. BS. I take 300 mg a day of my meds, causing a severe migraine yesterday and vertigo, bc this place didnt want to do the extra bit of work; it was not illegal to give me a couple days worth of my meds. My prescription is active, and they rather I suffer... Ill be taking this up to corporate, bc this was VERY wrong. If their employees are incompetent to fill a few days worth, then they need to re-evaluate their hiring.

My wife and I stopped in at Safeway on 7/14/2010 with our motor home and filled up with about $125.00 worth of fuel and enough groceries to restock our motor home. We parked out away from the store because our motor home is 34 and didnt want to be a burden on other shoppers while at the store. We barely arrived back and proceeded to fill the fridge with another weeks worth of supplies when we got a knock on the door. I answered and the manager proceeded to read us the riot act about no overnight camping. I told him that we would be done shortly and would be headed down the road. He again stated quite emphatically to the point of being rude that we could not park in his lot. I was appalled at his rudeness after spending $200.00 for groceries and fuel and was so soured by his conduct that my wife and I decided that this would be the last Safeway we ever frequent in out travels.

Went here for the first time in over 6 years, found some cream puffs in the bakery, purchased one thinking it would be as good as the ones I use to get from here....NOT even close. What I bought wasn't even a cream puff, it was a pastry filled with whipped vanilla frosting rather than heavy whipped cream that you'd find in an actual cream puff. And the cashier I went to took about 5 minutes to find the UPC code on a bottle of tea, sent ME to get a new carton of eggs after she dropped them and broke several. When I FINALLY got out of the checking line, I went to customer service to send a Western Union money transfer and again I was disappointed. The printer was broken. Just as it was back in 2005 when I was there trying to pick up a money transfer. Terrible bakery, terrible cashier, terrible store overall.

Id give this a zero if we could. We use a lot of Safeways on our travels and Florence is our hometown. We avoid this one like a plague due to one of their baggers, Jason, who follows us around the store, the parking lot, poked us twice, openly made rude jokes about us to his coworkers (who joined the laugh), and even after asking him to stay the hell away from us IN FRONT OF THE assistant manager/supervisor lady, he kept doing these things. Nothing was done about it. After a year of this harrassment we no longer shop there and advise our traveling friends to avoid the store.

There are 2 different places we purchase fuel in Florence. Safeway and Freddies. Unfortunately there is only 1 nice guy at Fred Meyers and everyone seems to have no knowledge of working fast... Safeway, however, is ALWAYS friendly and everyone is usually running trying to keep up with their customers. I just want to say thank you to the amazing employees that are pumping fuel at Safeway. You guys really know how to serve... it is appreciated!!!

Overall this is my go to store. I love the savings you get from there app. It offers almost everything I need. There open late and open super early which is nice. Its clean and product always seems stocked. They do offer in-store deals which can save a lot. The staff is friendly. Lines are managed for the most part. Public bathrooms are nasty though. I like Safeway.

I am tired of getting expired merchandise! Everything from bread to chips to produce to meat to pickles to canned goods to desserts, salsas, etc. It is ridiculous. First in, first out, people; its not that hard. Management needs to step up their game. Even as we speak, I am having to feed my family CHIPS that expired over a week ago. Really? Inventory, much?

Great place to shop but unless I come past 8pm the wait in Line is always horrible. Cashiers do great. Just to many costumers and too little lines open. Its a poor management issue. Cough up the budgeted hours and open more lines

This is our favorite grocery store. Theres a really kind guy that works there named Brian. He is so helpful whenever we run into him there. People like that make us feel that we are valued customers.

Love the selection but the service is ridiculous. To buy one item and get out quickly is unheard of. There are a few people that dont work the registers that are always kind and helpful.

Very long lines, no self-checkout & very few cashiers. Management is always apathetic to time customers have to wait to make purchases. I try to avoid the place for this reason.

We love Safeway. Do most of our shopping there. They have taken a few of the items we usually buy away. Produce is usually cheaper at FM

Higher prices than the other grocery stores in town. I have found many items on the shelves that are past their expiration date.

You still have your large box of French roast coffee listed for $29.88 but you have not had any for six weeks. Why .......?..?
