I purchased glasses from VW with all the options for my lenses (HD, UV, Transitions and scratch resistant), was not cheap. I noticed stress cracks on one lense of the pair I purchased 5 months ago. I took the glasses in and was expecting them to fix them as there is an obvious defect with the lense. I was told they only have a 30 day warranty and I should have purchased a protection plan and they would not fix. Unreal, I was very upset at this as the stress cracks were obviously a manufacturers defect which I would think they would want to cover to show they stand behind their product. VERY disappointed with Visionworks inside Louis Joliet Mall. Every place should stand behind their product but obviously this place is more interested in just taking the customers money and then forget about the customer. The funny thing is we were going to purchase sunglasses while my glasses got fixed....sorry, Americas Best now has our business. Americas Best has a one year warranty on their glassses as I know this because we just purchased 4 pairs of glasses there yesterday. I really hope anybody thinking about glasses will think twice about visiting Visionworks in Louis Joliet Mall and check out other options.

There glasses are really expensive and not that great. The doctor they have right now is good I like him . I went years ago and got a wrong script but I guess that can happen anywhere. This time I took a kid and I did end up buying him glasses becuase they were 40% off however they still cost a lot more than literally anywhere else I have gone. I know I have to get him a second pair somewhere else due to past experences of every pair every buying from them for anyone breaking, yet I own glasses that are 7 years old and still fine from other places. There brand of transissions are horrible we owned three pairs all turned a yellow color and stayed that way around the six month mark.

Just found out I have been wearing the wrong glasses prescription for a year! I knew they didnt seem right... but Visionworks assured me that I had to "get used" to the prescription... as that is what I needed. I was wearing -1.75 in both eyes. Went to a different eye care place recently (to get contacts), and it turns out I am -1.00 in one eye, and -.75 in the other eye!!! WTH.... did the doctor just put both of those numbers together to get -1.75? Unbelievable. Will never go back. My eyes are so relieved now that I am wearing the CORRECT prescription. Where did these doctors get their degrees???

Im on my fifth trip back this week, after getting new glasses. 1st trip - see the doctor and get prescription. 2nd trip got the new glasses, but get home and find that they are chipped and wrong prescription - everything looks like a trapezoid. 3rd trip they were too busy and cant help me, I have to make a appointment for 2 days later, 4th trip they find that the prescription was wrong and since the lens is chip they will replace it. I still have to go back a 5th time, because now there is a gap in the frame. If I hadnt already paid for these, I would never go back again.

I had an awesome experience here, staff were friendly and helpful, the Dr. was professional, friendly and did a completer exam, explained how much each eye changed. I dont know about those other reviews but, I was a little early for my appt and they started the pre exam and had me ready to go when the Dr. was ready. Would highly recommend vision works they even figured out what I would owe after insurance.

Visionworks seemed to have a problem making a pair of progressive lenses (they had to send my glasses out to a third party) at which time I cancelled my order. I then went to a different eye doctor who found I had a cataract in my eye that Visionworks had missed. Thats a pretty serious condition to miss. Do not go here.

Just like Lyn, I also was sent on my way with the WRONG prescription! I am very upset as the prescription I received was 3x higher than what I should have had! I spent over $600.00 and put my trust in them. I would not recommend anyone to them! I will be filing also with the BBB!

I got my glasses & my grandson we had a different eye Dr who said he was 20/ 200 this was not true my grandson got his new glasses and it was like the boy seeing for the first time Vision works is friendly & caring looking for to our next visit .

Worst customer service the doctor was rude. Lady at the desk must of been having a bad month because every time I came in she was rude.
