The doctor is great. However, I really wish there was somewhere else we could go. I say this because of the customer service. We are going here because they accept our insurance (thats one plus). The first time I went here they told me the date that my glasses would arrive (10 days). I called to make sure they were there on that date. I was bounced around from person to person. Found out the frames never arrived. I was given a different date. I went there in person that time. Still no glasses. They told me to come back in a half hour. I did. Still no glasses. Now they told me to wait for the delivery driver. I stayed in town for two hours and came back. STILL no delivery driver. I finally just stayed in the store and waited. Unfortunately, I overheard another customer saying that they put lenses in the wrong frames on two of her glasses. After the wait, I finally got my glasses! Yay! Now.... its time for my three children to go. I booked the three appointments online. This is very nice! I found out I needed to cancel my one daughters appointment. What an ordeal. I left a message about this. When I called to verify the cancellation, a woman said that they dont check voicemail. The time I requested was now filled. I tried to make a new appointment. They gave me a time. THEN, told me THAT time didnt work. Im showing up for the three appointment times they have given me. We will see if we truly have appointments. Im very nervous. update: I decided to cancel the three appointments. I still got the reminder that I have appointments. They cant even get cancellations correct!!

The people here really know their stuff and what to fit you with, and they really care about all their customers. Even though the phrase "were like family" sounds hokey, here you can really tell its true. For fun, you will definitely want to check out their "Celebrity Wall of Frames" along their office wall. These are custom frames of eyewear by all types of movie and television stars, present and past, plus historical figures. The Crystal Store has Barbara Streissand, Paul Neuman, Ray Romano, Phyllis Diller, Celine Dion, Betty White, Anne Rice, Ray Charles, Loni Andeson, Gracie Allen & George Burns, Florence Henderson, Raquel Welch, Buzz Aldrin, Fred Savage, Andrew Bocelli, Angelica Houston, and "that gal" from Laugh-In (the crazy dark haired one). Didnt expect to have a fun time at an eyecare and eyewear facility, but I did. Plus they are a full care vision center, so you can save yourself a lot of time from going to another facility, since they have long-experienced optometrists here. Heres what I didnt care about the place. The transexual that worked there hit on me several times on different occasions. Also one of the owners of the place (a gay couple in a domestic partnership) hit on me once as well. I consider myself a very open person, but thats not a license for people in certain lifestyles to make sexual advances on customers or colleagues. Seriously.

Very Poor Service!!!!! I went it on my lunch hr. to get my eye and contact exam. I told them I will be coming on my lunch hr and I only have an hr. they said we will be done in 30 mins so should be no problem at all. Took them 45 mins to do just the eye exam. Had me take test that were completely unnecessary and charged me for it. When I questioned it, they said- thats their policy not to provide refunds and test are for my benefits. Here is a though- Explain what the test are for and go over the results w. your patients. Sat down to get frames, finally picked a pair out. and bill was for $288. she takes my credit card, tells me she is going to bill me $288.00 comes back with a bill of $388. I asked why. she says oh well, you have to pay for this and that.. and your insurance didnt cover this and that. But look all the savings your insurance provided. I told her to refund it. I DO NOT want anything from there. $126 later for eye exam i got glasses from Sear Optical for less then haft the cost of what Pearle Vision was charging me. I had to call 10 times to get them to give up MY own records that I am entitled to since I paid for them. Every time I got the same answer " I have to check with the Doctor" and they forget about you. STAY AWAY folks. these people suck. Management sucks as do the doctors.

I had a wonderful experience at Pearle Vision at Crystal Lake. I felt that I was treated very well. First of all the eye exam was very thorough. After my exam I was guided to my frame selection, which for me, can be a trying process, but the optician helped me pick out a great frame. Their prices are very fair and I feel I got a great deal for what I chose. Overall, the Crystal Lake Pearle Vision has great staff that is very knowledgeable. I would and will recommend this location to anyone in need of vision care.

We bought our lenses at a near by optical store and my daughter decided she didnt like there frames. We were told we could buy the frames elsewhere so we went to this pearl Vision and said we needed frames. After we spent time picking out frames they told us our insurance wont let us buy them separate. I called our insurance company and they said we can buy them separate and that it was the stores choice to not sell them. Not sure why they would not want to make a sale and a potential new client.

Avoid this place at all costs. Theyre in such disarray and have no customer service educate. They keep pushing their eye glass program and additional tests not covered by insurance. We paid for my sons exam and decided to leave due to the apparent lack of experience and the outrageously priced eye glasses and contacts. Worst experience at a Pearle Vision ever. Did not seem like a professional atmosphere and it really seemed staff could care less about the customer.

Constant upwelling during entire eye exam. The appointment was a joke. I wanted to get my lenses replaced so they charged me for both contact and glasses prescription. My contact script was already up to date. Sales rep said "Oh we always do both, you have to ask for only one". Then they told me options for lenses, but were very pushy for the most expensive ones. Will not go back here.

Nice people, decent product. They cant seem to get insurance data right with VSP. I have gotten three pairs of glasses, was overcharged on my portion for each and had to work with them to get a refund on the overcharge. My husband just went in for a new pair and was hugely overcharged. Wont go back.

Their prices are more expensive than Lenscrafters and they have less of a selection. Otherwise, they have decent service. Also, the optometrist is either a transexual or transvestite that was creepily hitting on my step-mom. Sort of awkward.

We got there early because they told us to and the girl turned us away. Once inside we had to listen to loud mouth gossiping the whole time. Everyone there is very unprofessional. We will not be returning.
