I finally have time to give a review. Honestly, for a few years Ive been coming to this place for parts as I like giving my business to small locally owned businesses. I never got a chance to get any of the workers names, as its been stated in other posts that its ran pretty quick and there are no time for morons. That being said, I never really had any problems. Recently, about a 2 weeks ago I went there to buy some parts for a family members car. Im usually in and out of this place within minutes, this time was no different. Once I got there, 30sec later I was outside grabbing my parts and within a couple minutes I was back inside to pay. AS I was walking out the door (literally), there were 2 black gentlemen inside talking to "THE WHITE GUY THAT ALWAYS SITS IN THE CORNER TO THE RIGHT OF THE DOOR". If you go there often you know what desk/corner Im talking about. He was talking about politics and some bias crap about foreigners and Asians being violent and that were bad for the economy. I stopped with the door fully opened, made eye contact and stared at the guy for several seconds. This dude just turns away and looks down as if he doesnt see me. But to prove the guy wrong about his comment, I simply decided to take a breather and walk out. Whatever his reasoning was, for such a dumbass comment, is pointless now. I will just find myself another small locally owned Autoparts store and if not, I will just go to Autozone or Oreillys. Its a shame really. I liked this place, although there wasnt much to like (again literally), besides to get your parts and go.

The parts are as cheap as youll find them, and they almost always have, or can get very quickly, anything you could possibly want. Now for a little word of advice.... Dont talk to Dave (the older of the 2 men) about anything other than car parts. I dont typically make small talk, but when someone asks me a question, I answer politely. I was asked by Dave if I had the day off. I responded with "Well, kind of. I play music for a living, so Im actually working tonight." HUGE mistake. He went into a rant for almost 45 minutes about how I was addicted to pleasure and that my generation is the problem with this world. As a nice person, I listened and said that I am a hard working individual that only wishes to better the world. He replied by asking if I knew "The World Solution". I said I didnt, but would love to know. He said that if I didnt know instinctually that I was a part of the problem and "NEEDED TO DIE." I wish I was joking. After telling a friend about this, he told me that one time Dave told him that he should kill his grandmother, take her money, and protect it from the rest of the world.... The lesson? Dont make ANY kind of small talk with the old guy. You will regret it.

Better know your stuff when you go in there. The place is a hole in the wall in a hillbilly part of town BUT the parts are cheap! Its very very dirty and unorganized. I got wheel bearings for my car at $45 each, OReilys quoted me at $90 per a wheel bearing. Very short on the phone, not very customer friendly. My guess the reason the guy was short on the phone because the place was busy. Im praying the wheel bearings work, first time using the place. If you dont mind it being a dilapidated junkyard hole in the wall and you know your stuff, you should be fine.

It may not look like much, but this is THE best place to find parts in Cottage Grove. Ive been going to St. Paul Park auto since my first car, The prices are awesome. If you end up goihg down there be sure to bring gloves and a flashlight, I usually end up soloing into the back store room to find my parts, its a jungle back there!

Cheapest parts in town - and the quirkiest place in town. Be prepared to wait, and hope your part is actually there. But if you need to fix your car on the cheap, this is the place to get your parts. Joshua is right - bring your gloves and a flashlight because you might get sent into the back room looking for your own part.

Sometimes it takes them awhile to answer the phone but be patient if they have the part you need they will not take advantage of you. I love the good old boy atmosphere of the old-fashioned junkyard. And great pricing on new parts as well.

This is the best priced location in the state of MN. Sorry to hear about the passing of Dave but hopefully they can keep up the great prices and maybe get some help with organizing other than that GREAT PLACE!

No specific place to park. Very unorganized. Hard to get help or get a question answered. Filthy. If you dont mind waiting a very long time or if you are force full, the prices are very reasonable.

Called and asked a simple question, guy on the phone called me an a#shole and hung up. Will pay double at any other store to never deal with this establishment again.

The bad rate is solely because of the bad service on the phone. Whoever I talked to was rude, disrespectful and extremely short with me.

The place is a nut house but their prices are dealer cost. Most of the time you need to order the parts and they arrive next day..
