When I began the search for my new truck, as with most, I was dreading the process. My job doesnt always afford me the luxury of being able to take time off unless it is for an emergency. So I took to the phone, and began calling local dealerships to get an idea of what vehicles, and the costs associated that were within driving distance. Then, I was directed to Ernesto Lopez of Auto Nation Chevrolet, here in Waco, Texas. I described my situation to him, and he understood that I would have some time constraints if I did indeed decide to purchase my vehicle from him and the dealership. Mr. Lopez offered to assist me as far as humanly possible over the phone, and get me some ball park figures on the vehicle I had in mind, as well as the value of my trade in. This is something that I had yet to experience when purchasing vehicles. There is the one thing that we as car buyers hate the most...waiting for 5-7 hours in a dealership just to get a deal done. To take it a step further, when I initially reached out to Mr. Lopez, I was less than one week away from refinancing my home loan. Naturally, I didnt want to have any additional credit pulls prior to signing the documentation on my home. The most important part of this to me, is that Ernesto took my verbal score (Which I monitor very actively, and assured him would be accurate when the final credit pull was processed), and by doing so showed trust in me to give him accurate information to base the ballpark numbers on for me. The trust that Ernesto and the dealership extended to me in this situation is something that you normally wouldnt find in the world of car sales. But, by extending that trust to me, he immediately earned my trust as well. He stayed true to his word and checked in with me over the course of the week to make sure that all bases were covered in respect to add-ons and always double-checking to make sure that what I found to be important in a vehicle and my individual needs were met. The following weekend, immediately after closing on my home, I drove to the dealership. Ernesto had a vehicle ready and waiting for me that had each and every detail that we had discussed over the course of the week ready for me to look at. A little more than 2 hours later, I was driving off in a brand-new 2016 Chevy Silverado 4x4 LT model. I cant express enough how important it was to me that he took the time out of his week between customers to make sure that I was taken care of, and that the actual time I had to spend on-site was bare minimum. Especially after I heard his name called over the intercom in what seemed like 20 times in 2 hours, just for return customers that had purchased from him in the past. This showed to me his passion for his work, and his ability to take care of so many people in such short time is a quality that you dont come across often. The truck runs great, but the service and attention I was shown was second to none. Mr. Lopez has earned a customer for life.

The worst and most HORRIBLE decision I have Ever made, choosing "Auto Nation" to fix my vehicle. They stole my matching set spare tire and left my truck with check engine light/ error codes out the ass! NO ELECTRICAL WORK inside the truck should have been touched. In fact NOTHING inside my truck was supposed to be touched! YET my driver side door panel was gapped open from the side and bottom, The plastic door lock mechanism was popped off, check engine light was on, A/C stopped working, and there was a huge gap between my driver side window and driver side door panel and window seal. Even my ENGINE NOW SOUNDS HORRIBLE and NOW my trucks ENGINE RANDOMLY DIES and ALWAYS SAYS "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". Like are you serious???!! I sent my truck to "professionals" to be FIXED. But I got it back in WORSE condition!!!????? WHY??? And when I pointed out ALL THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY DID, AND that my spare was gone, and the Guy who was in charge of my trucks paper work tells me, "That could have been you who did all that, and NO we will NOT fix the problems" WHAT!!??? I THEN said to him, "so you are telling me that you will NOT fix the DAMAGES and problems that YOUR mechanics and company Caused?" He tells me "that is correct, whatever damage my mechanics did will not be fixed. Call your insurance, thats not our problem." WITH A SMILE this man says this crap and walks off. I had my back left quarter panel, back left tail light and back bumper replaced after a wreck. The quarter panel does not properly fit. The black plastic is hanging out and not properly latched. The black plastic trim outlining the top of my quarter panels and tailgate are completely WARPED and loose. They even broke the clips that hold it in place. My tailgate is BENT at the bottom, the quarter panel doesnt even fit against my gas lid and tank behind the panel, and my truck ALSO NOW SAYS "TIGHTEN FUEL CAP" 24/7!!!!!!! ALSO!!! They BENT my BACKUP camera frame, and threw away BRAND NEW $20 LED LIGHTS FOR MY BUMPER AND TAIL LIGHT. The guy told me "you should have told us not to throw away something"????? SERIOUSLY??? MY TRUCK IS COMPLETELY AND ABSOLUTELY RUINED BECAUSE I TRUSTED THIS COMPANY TO FIX MY VEHICLE. BUT I BASICALLY PAID THEM TO JACK MY TRUCK UP. Even my A/C WONT WORK NOW???!! LIKE WTF??? IT WAS JUST SUPPOSE TO BE BODY WORK!???? WARNING!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE, AND DO NOT TRUST AUTONATION TO TAKE CARE OF YOU!! THEY DO NOT. I REPEAT. THEY DO NOT FLIPPING CARE. ME, MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL NOT COME BACK TO AUTONATION. I SUGGEST YOU BE CAREFUL AND CHOOSE A DIFFERENT COMPANY.

I am a big online shopper and have found some great deals this way, so I was willing to travel from Durant OK to Waco TX to pick up the Silverado we had agreed to a price on with the preapproval letter from our bank so we didnt have to take extra time for financing or any haggling just drive and buy. However, this was the worst car buying experience I have ever had due to the fact that this should have been fast and easy and was the exact opposite. We had to contact our bank back and forth from 5p-7p to get whatever paperwork they would accept to let us drive off that was beyond what the bank already gave us. Then the financing people made us wait 2 hours while they were signing paperwork with other people that live in Waco. They kept saying itll just be a few minutes so we were at this dealership from 5p when we drove up until 8:45p till we could drive off with our truck waiting on either the salesman or the financial people. We knew at 5:20p we were going to drive off with this truck, but they kept us there hungry and irritated for almost 4 hours. Then after all that, we were hounded by a mobile notary here in Oklahoma to take another day off work so we could sign the exact same papers we had waited almost 2 hours to sign again because they had made us wait to sign those papers with wrong information I guess. I cannot imagine why if they could have had a notary come to us here in Oklahoma we were made to wait to sign at the dealership while they put locals in front of us. I will never do business with this dealership or any AutoNation because of the lack of consideration and poor customer service. The vehicle is fine and we got a good rate on it, but it was hardly worth the inconvenience and headaches we dealt with for taking that 3 hour drive there and 3 hours back in the middle of the week. Thanks to this dealership we arrived home at 12:30am on a work night where my husband had to get up for work at 4:30am, and I will never forget the hardship this dealership created for us on what should have been the easiest car buying experience ever.
