Disappointed in product knowledge - I called in wanting to make a purchase of the K-9 Kwik Dog Kennel 6 ft. x 10 ft. x 6 ft. Galvanized Steel Boxed Kennel Kit I saw online and showed they had two in stock. I called in to confirm this exact model was in stock (even provided the SKU# for the employee who answered the phone). I drove an hour to this location because it said they had TWO in stock - when I arrived they only had a secondary brand in stock. I asked to the stock clerk if there was another kind (as this one shows the door in the center, the on on display was the AKC Kennel with door in the corner) he told me "No, and weve never carried that, theyve just changed the packaging is all." This doesnt look anything like the product online - and the lady on the phone stated there were two different brands at the $199 price I purchased at. Why bother calling in with a SKU# and be told they are in stock when that wasnt the case when you drive all the way there to pick it up? Two employees at the same store saying something completely different. I am sure glad I didnt make the purchase of both online ahead of time!
The availability of getting some one on the phone who could help me to order a window was horrible I am from Pa moving to Florida and I need a window for my house the only person who has been wonderful is Phil. But unfortunately he is off for a couple of days. That man is wonderful and needs a monetary gift He is fantastic. Here is my issue I called yesterday waited 15 mins no one picked up. Left my phone number. No one called me back. So I called first thing this morning 7am figured they were busy yesterday I would beat the crowd Guess what? No one could help me because the people who do that doesnt come in until 10 am. I thought really???? This is ridiculous. I had a special order window that I needed to purchase so I a) dont miss out on 15 percent discount and B). Its there for when I come down. I am only going to be there for two weeks to help get our house ready for when we move in. Now I have to wait until 10? Why open at 6 then? Will see how this goes if I dont get a call back or reach someone I am going to Lowes. This is rediculas. You need more people like Phil.
At 6AM on a Thursday two employees asked me if I needed help (I did). Then as I was walking to the register with a cordless reciprocating saw and a charger with only one battery, one of the same employees told me about a deal they had on the same product. Then she walked to the front to confirm the deal was still on and came all the way back to tell me. I was able to get the exact same reciprocating saw, plus a charger with TWO batteries, PLUS a drill for less than I would have paid for the saw and charger alone. The best part is that it did not feel like a sales pitch to me. It felt like she genuinely wanted to save me money and send me home with a few extra toys.
When making an exchange today I was somewhat surprised to find the customer service desk occupied by an unpleasant woman with the word "DIVA" handwritten several times on her Home Depot apron. As she completed a transaction that had begun with a very nice lady at the adjacent return register "DIVA" lived out her name. Oh for the day when customer service was a literal term. The shame of it is that several other associates were helpful and courteous but she was a poor representation of their company. Mostly I was surprised that Home Depot would allow graffiti on issued uniform aprons.
Buyer Beware - we purchased 4 appliances and 2 did not work. Be aware that Home Depot only stands by appliances for 48 hours. After that, you are out of luck. In fact, they stated to us, "Not Our Problem" after our refrigerator stopped cooling after 6 days. The manufacturer cannot fix it and they will not replace it. They said Home Depot has to replace it. Home Depot says GE has to replace it. We are stuck with no help. No one returns our calls. This cannot be legal!
Doesnt price match Amazon, how do these stores stay in business with merchandise being cheaper on Amazon with the same day shipping? Makes no sense and never will. Almost bought a smart thermostat but Home Depot wouldnt price match with Amazon and the item was 30 dollars less. To the hell with it, scanned the UPC code and bought the thermostat right outside your store. Should be here today. Thanks for nothing!
Sometimes its ok, as long as you know what you are looking for and know how to find it. No one is there to help you. It never anyones department. If you do a large order you will be frustrated. Both times I got large orders from there is was a terrible experience. The port orange one is run a lot better.
Went to order some windows. Went to the mill desk. Waited 15 minutes for someone to help me. Was told to go to the proservice desk. There i am told to go to the mill desk. No one there knew how to order me some windows. I will never go back to that home depot again. USE LOWES....
Hardware associate was extremely rude left and went to Lowes patiently waiting my turn in the hardware department ask them and when he finished with the next customer for help and he told me he was

Cant find an employee to assist with anything. When you do track one down they act like youre inconvenience them. Lowes gets our sale.
Becky in the kitchen area is super helpful and knows her stuff. Would definitely recommend talking to her for your kitchen needs.
