There are a few things about my experience here, and I will do my best to explain everything as much as possible on my reasoning. First off I did not use any of their repair services or rent a PC. I did not spend any money here, so my review is based solely on my short visit to check the place out. I came in with my brother, and his wife, because we were looking for a Lan center to hang out and play video games. When we walked in the employee behind the counter at the front immediately welcomed us, and apologized for making us wait while he was talking to another customer. I personally liked this a lot. Had great customer relations, appeared genuine in his greeting, and just overall seemed pleasant. My group just said we were going to look around just to see the center and decide what we were going to play and do. He was again very polite and encouraged us to walk around. He took a little time to explain some of the features of the place, and then told us to ask if we had any questions at all and he would be happy to answer them. My main issue was the overall appearance/vibe of the center. It has incredibly dim lighting throughout the whole place and felt extremely claustrophobic to me. Im sure this may appeal to others hence me not giving 1 star review. The environment just was not suited to my personal liking. I could see this being a great setting for a party or group event if they do those kinds of things, and being able to just take over one whole room for a party. However, with it being a public venue being that close and cramped with strangers was very off putting for me. The setup of the computers/chairs was really good looking though. They have the gamer chairs, and great PCs from the specs I looked at at the front. We did end up leaving and going somewhere else simply due to the cramped environment and overall ambiance. I would be interested to try this place for a private party/event though in the future. Overall I gave 3 stars simply because I didnt purchase anything from here. I think this place may be suited for a lot of people, but was just not for me in a public setting. Also got to say again the employee who greeted us was excellent, and incredibly friendly!

Cool games reasonable prices. They did gyp me a few hours, but thats fine. Not a fan of allowing alcohol consumption. Drunk nerd rages are to be avoided, not encouraged. They might allow pot use on the property, lot of players were talking about using, especially cause they were in Austin.. Whatever!! Hate the foul smell and irritating fumes from the vaping that they allow. That cant be good for their costly computer equipment. Also I understand that gamimg causes profanity. I understand, but when in others earspace and heard through out the store? Is there a limit? That can annoy people if it gets over the top. Oftentimes time is being burnt while the software is updating. The employees are cool and decent and engaging and try to be helpful as they can, as technology doesnt work well. Good group that works for them and the other players are pretty fun. Though sometimes Ive had to log off and put distance between those that arent, if there is another one open. Their internet is unfilitered, which I appreciate a lot. Good events to and a very laid back setting. Love the different colored rooms the front room of machines can get crowded and one has to be super careful not to bump others and hope one is not bumped either. Also plasma tvs in some areas for when one needs a break, especially in the back where one enters the privees

Absolutely terrible. They DO screw you over with the Xbox 360 repairs. They used to be good at repairing broken Xboxes but once EVERYONE in town knew that they did repairs, they quit sending them to Microsoft and they sent them to Tek, which caused them to have a massive work load and they started to cut corners to meet deadlines. Ive had them repair my Xbox twice. I asked one of the employees there to plug the Xbox in and start it up so I knew I wasnt leaving empty handed. The employee refused and told me it should be fine and walked into the back room. When I got home and plugged the Xbox in, it immediately RRODed and is now a useless piece of junk. I have personally known one of Tek Republiks employees for the better part of 3 YEARS and he has told me all the dirty little secrets this company uses to get your money and how poorly they treat their employees. Also, if you are still not sure if you should go here or not, know this, the owner, Chris Tom, has had problems with the IRS and not being straight forward and paying his taxes. Avoid this place like the plague.

Im very stingy with praise as a rule. My experience couldnt be any more different. I took my XBox there for a repair, they quoted a price, then quoted a price for a loaner, made a mistake in the price, apologized, explained the error, I never cared much about the mistake (I knew it had to be one when the guy told me). Then every time I interacted with them, theyd apologize again. Then, my XBox was more broken than it seemed, & they apologized about that too & about how long it would take, which ended up being much less than the estimate. Then when I picked up the repaired unit, they gave me & my son a free hour of time on their machines. I had planned to pay. Then helped me & the boy get set up in the game we chose. At length. They also stock some excellent soda pops, like Mexican Sprite and Dublin Dr. Pepper (free from the Devil’s Fluid, Corn Syrup). The facility itself is about what you’d expect, funky, dark, cool with lots of socially awkward people in attendance. But not smelly, dirty, or weird. I highly recommend them for XBox repair and rental LAN gaming.

My PS3 had been having some issues detecting games, but the icing on the cake was my dust-off straw attachment blowing off and getting lodged into the disc compartment. I poked around and also messed some things up. I googled ps3 repair and this place came up. I called and spoke to I believe Josh and he was nice, patient and answered all my questions. He basically told me best and worst scenario. He did misquote me on the laser repair, giving me the xbox pricing instead of ps3, but I know it was an honest mistake. I took it up there, again great customer service with Josh, we chatted a little about my console and before I left he told me it would be ready by the next morning and he actually had it ready for me 3 hours later, with a quick fix and good cleaning. I thought I had done more damage, but turns out I didnt. He was fair in pricing. I paid more than I wanted to, but I believe in you get what you pay for. Overall very satisfied with everything. Will definitely recommend to others and will definitely be a return customer anytime I have console issues.

Abolutely horrible place #1 Location is terrible, it looks trashy i liked the place off of burnet better. #2 Horrible Customer Service #3 I have had to take my PS3 up there twice now and the list goes on. I will not be back and you can keep the $80.00. From the looks of the people that work their and that location you need it. I will complain to the bbb as well. I am reading through your reviews and you keep blaming the bad reviews on ex employees. One question. Why would an ex-employee leave a bad review? I dont understand. Is there a reason that they would? It really makes no sense i think the are just bad reviews and you are saying that its employees. I think personally after reading your reviews on google and yelp and reading what other people had to say that you are just plain crazy. Me and my husband will never ever ever walk into your establishment again. I know that their may not be anyone else in town to fix this issue. We will send it off to the manufacturer if we have to. Sarah Sanders (im not scared to leave my full name either)
