Even months later, I cannot find a better deal on my make and model. Checked at LEAST 15 dealerships, plus craigs list, newspaper-- in and around our area for comparable deals before purchase. None could touch it. Some suggested Preferreds price was too good to be true, did I check carfax report. (Yes.) Must be very high miles (No.) Preferred also let me take the car to our mechanic, who called it "super clean." I did look there monthly for about 6 months prior to purchase. Its a small outfit, maybe 20 cars indoors to look at. There were no vehicles of interest until one month there were about 6 cars I wanted to test drive. And one of them stood out. (Actually the price stood out first, and I couldnt NOT look twice at the car.... ) Easy to shop and keep up online but its nice to go in and hear from the guys --no frills website shows the entire inventory with Carfax... Sometimes cars appear priced similar to the dealership market. Other times, snooze and lose. I lost the first car I liked waiting a week to think about it and compare prices. Youll work with one of about 3 or 4 longtime former employees of big dealerships. They know their stuff, been part of our community for a long time; but they will do what they want with what they stock and how they price. No great warranties from Preferred, just what the car has. You have to be sure what youre buying. But Id buy again from them in a heartbeat. 5 stars sounds over the top, so I was tempted to put 4. But honestly it was a 5 star experience.

STAY AWAY!!! The two older guys that run this place are completely rude & shady! I stopped in and they looked me up and down like i was infringing on their territory. I was ready to buy one of their cars CASH ON THE SPOT after checking around, BUT they told me they wouldnt let me test drive it until i bought it and that IT WOULD SELL FOR WHAT THEY ARE ASKING because it was newly in! (even tho it had already been sitting there for over 8 months) LOL which is fine if they want their asking $$... BUT they told me they NEVER give test drives until the person BUYS the car... um... okay. They had disgusting snotty attitudes as tho i wasnt good enough to be in their presence. Well there was NO ONE around so clearly they arent too busy doing anything else. They lost a customer for life, i will tell anyone i can to STAY AWAY!!! Spend your hard earned money ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The feeling of their business gives me broken down cars that LOOK nice. Coverup... I got my dream car elsewhere THAT SAME DAY!!!! lol ;-)

For the most part the experience with the dealership and John our salesperson was okay because we like the vehicle, but make sure you take your vehicle to a mechanic before you sign your purchase agreement. We found out afterwards it needed a new battery, brakes, calipers, and the horn didnt work. We found out from the mechanic that fixed the recall that he informed John of these issues but John failed to mention it to us. After some convincing, he agreed to fix the horn and replace the battery, but not the brakes and calipers. Bad brakes and calipers are a big safety issue. Just be careful if you are going to do business with a small dealership like Preferred Sales and Leasing. Have a mechanic look over the vehicle before you buy.

We saw a car on-line that we liked. After doing a quick test drive and deciding we wanted to buy the car, we did a brief price negotiation, and bought the car. We were in and out of there in less than an hour! Everyone worked together to expedite the process since they knew we had driven over 200 miles to get there and were anxious to get back on the road again for the long ride home. The ultimate test drive was the drive home. It was a very comfortable and smooth ride back. I would definitely go there again for a vehicle.

I bought a sweet 2008 Porsche Cayenne S with very low miles for below book from John at Preferred Sales & Leasing in Woodbury. I was treated with nothing but respect throughout the entire experience. When i was at the nearby bank AND at my nearby insurance office I heard them both say that was who they bought their cars from too. I would recommend this dealership.
