WANNA BUY A LEMON? WANT TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE? GO TO DANDYS! Went to look at a car they said was in excellent condition with no rust or body damage. Believing them, I went and looked at it and decided I could look past the scratches, dents, and rust. The salesman assured me their mechanic had throughly looked over it and gave it the "green light". During the the test drive I began to smell burning rubber and it was then the car started having lurching and jerking problems when I was going not more than 20 miles an hour. I then drove it back to the dealership and noticed the blinker was out. I told the salesman that I would be back at 3 the next day and for him to make sure that his mechanic would fix the blinker and see what the issue was with the lurching and jerking. He assured me they would fix it. When I got to Dandys then next day their mechanic said it was all good and he fixed the blinker. Okay, great. But there was no gas in the car. So I drove it to Super America to gas it up on the way to my mechanic. I got out to put a few dollars in, AND THE TIRE WAS SMOKING. I called the salesman and told him to come get me and take me back to the dealership. Once I got back to the dealership the owner of Dandys arrived and went with me back to Super America to get the car and take it back to his dealership to look at why it was smoking. I got back into the car, and he decides to pull out in front of traffic, where then the car dies. Something completely blew. We were severely lurching and jerking on this fast road. People were honking and flipping him off. He refused to pull into a parking lot because he wanted to get the car to his buddy at an auto repair place. I swear I got whiplash from that 1.5 mile drive there. Then when we arrived at his buddies place all the buddy said that was wrong with the car was the air intake filter and a brake pad was loose. So they "fixed it" then started it back up. NOPE. Was not the problem. Then the owner of Dandys decides he would like to completely ruin the car and keep driving it. GOOD PLAN. Especially when you have "potential clients" with you. I told him I was not getting back into car. And he drove off. Leaving me stranded in a god forsaken auto repair place. Never saying he was sorry for everything, never apologizing for the broken car, or his awful customer service. The salesman calls me to apologize a couple hours later, not fully knowing what had happened. I gladly filled him in. I did not have a problem with the salesman, just the owner. The owner then calls me and apologized and asked if I would like to come see how they fixed it. WHEN PIGS FLY & HELL FREEZES OVER. If you would like to have awful customer service and buy a lemon, THIS IS YOUR PLACE.

Sold me a car with a bad transmission for top dollar, among other problems. It was the worst used car experience Ive ever had, and Ive bought lots of used vehicles. Do not let yourself believe that a nice guy wont sell you a car that needs major work. He even told me he hadnt sold a car in weeks and was in the hole financially. The car I bought sat on his lot needed head gaskets, timing belt/water pump and a transmission overhaul. I saw the oil leak so we looked at the head gaskets and he agreed to replace the head gaskets and timing belt if I paid the asking price. Terrible mistake on my part. His mechanic is working for him and has no interest in looking out for my interest. After I had the car for a week I noticed the transmission making a grinding noise. Took it to a tranny shop and a dealer, both said it needed a transmission overhaul. After I had the transmission overhauled I discovered the car had an intermittent overheating problem at freeway speeds. I ended up paying $11,000 for a $7,000 car with all the repairs it needed. I contacted Daniel to see if he would do anything for me and he quit responding to me calls and emails. This place should really not be in business. You might get lucky and get a good car, but you might not. I would steer clear of this place.

Went to look at a car with what was said to be a clean title. When I asked for a VIN report, John Stanchfield the Sales Manager said he would not provide me one because "the overhead was too high for that service and costs $800 a month." Then he told me to look it up myself. I did a VIN check, which was only $7 out of my pocket, and the report came back with a prior junk/salvage sale. I then called John to ask about the repairs that were performed, he had a bad attitude and hung up the phone on me before I could get any information. If John would have been honest with me from the start and not acted like a 9 year old girl who just had her first period, I may have still considered purchasing the car. These people are deceitful, dishonest pigs that buy salvaged cars from insurance companies and then try to fix them and pass them off to unsuspecting customers. Please, do Forest Lake a favor and dont buy from this dealer so they will go out of business. Good luck John! By the way, the only reason their Google rating is over 3.0 is because the owner gave himself 5 stars twice. They would be rated below 2 otherwise, which is realistic.

Purchased a 2010 avalanche from Dandys auto sale a month ago and I absolutely love it! Saw this truck on Craigslist and thought id check it out with my parents. when we went there we had no intentions of buying. We were greeted by Dan and he was very sincere and informative with every question we asked. He even showed me his entire shop which was very cool! After test driving the truck it was clear this was the one for me. He gave me a great offer and it was official I was on my way to buying my first vehicle. Debbie made all the paperwork a breeze and made sure everything was in tip top shape before we took it off the lot. Dan and Debbie treated me and my family so well we look to continue business with them in the future! I definitely recommend this place. Thank you Dandys auto sales! - Nate

I looked at a 2004 Audi S4 here and was treated very poorly by the sales manager after making what I thought was a fair offer on the car ($1,250 below a $24k asking price) based on some comparable listings in the area. I later met another gentleman that had looked at the same car and learned that I was being called names ("wannabe Audi fanboy" among other things) and insulted ("tire kicking 21yr old") by the sales manager behind my back. Anyway, I dont hold a grudge, as I ended up finding just the right car a few days later for only a few thousand more. Just wanted to give my honest review and hopefully save somebody the hassle and embarrassment of dealing with these folks.
