My family has bought numerous cars from this dealership! Never had a problem or bad thing to say about the service or cars they sold and they stood behind the vehicle even after the sale. That was prior to the new ownership that took place sometime in the last couple years. When I was looking for a new vehicle I went to American Auto Sales because Ive bought a car from them before. Less then a month after the purchase a spark plug blew causing the casing to crack. The dealership took absolutely NO ownership of missing a bad spark plug before selling the car. Within three months of having the car, I had to spend a couple thousand dollars to rebuild the transmission as the gears were not shifting correctly! Again the dealership could have cared less!!!! Finally this year I decided to sell that vehicle to get something smaller. I had the car just over a year and when I originally purchased the vehicle I bought a used car warranty. All in all when I sold the vehicle I should have been reimbursed for what I paid upfront for the warranty for the portion I did not use. I submitted the cancellation/refund request for the unused portions of the warranty and never heard back from the dealership. I made my parents physically go there to talk to them since they would not return my calls and I do not live in the area anymore. They finally submitted my request and I should have received almost 800 dollars but instead the dealership only sent me 400. The were completely unwilling to work with me or the warranty company to correct their error and pay the money they actually owed me..I am extremely disappointed that this company has turned in to such a terrible business. I can not imagine that the old owners would be proud of this shady unreliable service. Never do business with this company. They may make it out to see they have good deals but you will pay eventually and probably twice as much!

Not really happy with them, friendly and good stock. Went there to buy a certain car was kind of concerned about a few things so I went home without purchasing it. I called later that day and the dealer took my asking price and we made agreements and made a time for me to come buy the car. Well I got the call they sold it to someone for full asking price the day I was going to buy it had the loan pulled out and everything. I understand that I had not put money down on it for them to hold it for me hence the two stars, but you think they would let me know someone was paying a certain amount for it and let me make an offer or at least tell the person that someone was coming to buy it around a certain time and if the deal fell through/ I wasnt there at the time i said i would be they would let them know. But no completely sold it behind my back did not give me a chance to buy or offer for it. I know i would of went up. But on the other hand I found what I was looking for at a diffrenet place.

Dont buy the warrenty you cant use it anywhere. The dealership says they can repair your vehicle at time of sales but latter when you call back to get work done your told that they cant conflict of intrest. In response to owner this is not the information I recieved when I call your bussiness back for warrenty work. I was told by service personal to contact warrenty company. Which in turn they have no bussiness on file to refer you too. I took the vehicle to many places and called others with no avail. Best I could get was pay for repairs myself then file my own claim against gold standard automotive. I ended up doing the repairs myself never recieved any of the service that was included in the warrenty. Dont get me wrong Billy did a good job in sales and financing I think my location was an issue thats why I called the dealership back to see if they did the repairs also I was told they did at time of sales. Dealer repeatedly asked for more money for a car that was already mildly overpriced, attempted to offer financing with a predatory lendor, then requested that an additional fee be added, which turned out to be the exact same amount as a previously offered discount. Just a Sheister, tried everything to make a deal and to no avail. Also think that it is funny that they reviewed their own company with the same Google+ name as their company. Since this is a violation of the terms, have reported this. Hopefully Billy can find a better way to do business in the future than trying to be dishonest with genuine customers. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - SHADY

Bought a 02 chevy truck decided I wanted something else. Called and asked if I could return it and look at something else they said yes. Went there and and he said would be a 1,5000 hit to by another vehicle from them, or to walk a way.So I was stuck got a 03 chevy truck and nine days later the transmission went out . They said they would help with parts it is the labor that cost the dollars. I just want my money back . They swindled 1,500 dollars out of me.To me that is fraud and they have not heard the last from me .I would stay clear from this place.

I payed 5,500 for my dodge. I had it 2 days and it blew rocker into the valve cover and put a nice hole in it. This is after they said it was a solid runing truck. They replaced the head and charged me another 550. It happened in there lot right infront of there door as i started it up. Took over a week to fix and i had to call them they never called me. And they have fill in mechanics. I am not alone they rip people off all the time. Check the other reviews. And DONT BUY FROM american auto sales

Contacted Steve many times through email and he was quick to respond. We went and bought an eclipse from them. The car drove perfectly and was very clean inside and out. no dings, dents or scratches. He has a lot of vehicles on the lot and they are all clean nice looking cars. I was very pleased with service. He was very up front with us on issues and things they fixed. We will most likely be back in the future. Thanks Steve and Bill

Bought a truck 3 months ago they said the have it the 9 yards said a.c. worked. 2 months later replaced tranny and torque converter 3150 and now that its summer no a.c. called to complain he blamed the mechanic did not even offer to fix my a.c. all over priced car auction junk. Ps read the fine print on the warranty there junk lucky I canceled it got a full refund!!!!

Do not buy from here. Car broke before I could make a single payment. Now I get to feed their families while my family starves.Typical used car place. Nothing special. Just an easy way to waste $12,000.00. But if you do buy say my name so I get sent 100.00. Look forward to reviewing again when I find out the warranty they sold me is crap...
