Im a regular and I can almost be seen there every Saturday morning. This place is NOT like other places where as if they dont have an item priced, then they wont sell it... All you do is ask them how much is it and theyll give you a price and usually it is very reasonable. What I love about this place is that people can pull up out front in the drop off zone and they will unload it for you and if you are standing around there, you can get first glance of the stuff coming in. They will price it right then and there on the spot. I got one of those carpet cleaners spot bot I think it was called (regularly $150) for $12. A man pulled it out of his trunk still in the box with a bunch of extra supplies...It was practically brand new. I also got a brand new never been put together Pilates machine with the rebounder trampoline for $30.00 and turned around and sold it on Craigslist for $100...QVC had it for $460. Most of the donators seem to be from the Highland Park/Park Cities area. Great quality stuff AND Furniture! I bought the most beautiful buffet table distressed in a light gray color with the dark tabletop probably from Z Gallery for $75...It clearly could of cost over $500. I also found one of those white glass/ silver base hurricane candle holder from Nombre for $5. It was $150 @at Neimans. I could go on and on... You should just go to the Starbucks next door first before it opens on Saturday or Sunday and if you dont find anything right away, hang out there by the drop off for a while like I do...you will always find something!

Genesis Womens Shelter and Support center provides a wonderful and (sadly) necessary service to those in need. Im lucky to say, I havent had to be a beneficiary of those services. So my view on Genesis is just from a donors perspective. I recently spearheaded a coat and blanket drive and was really proud that I gathered 62 items to be donated. Of course, the act of donation should be all that the donor is looking for, but the donation process at Genesis was the most anticlimactic I had ever experienced. Maybe they were just busy, but it was like "leaves the bags there... do you want a receipt?" in a very hurried manner. No thank you at all. Im still happy that the items will be put to good use, but just feel a little empty that there didnt appear to be any gratitude for the effort. Of course, as I said, getting a "thanks" isnt the reason for donating, so I feel a little petty writing this. Still, it just left me feeling bummed. Like the donation and the effort to gather the items wasnt appreciated. Im sure that wasnt the case, but that was the perception I was left with. Still, Im sure that as long a there is a need, we will continue to do what we can to support Genesis for all that they do.

Love this store so much! Im addicted to their furniture sh*** I can gander around all day picturing my dream home. I also love the sets of China they have, all in perfect condition. The art portraits are extremely well preserved and so gorgeous! Now the clothes, dude, I buy all my work outfits here and they all come from big name department stores ( h&m, forever 21, etc). The outfits look and feel new, barely worned, good selections. I always find my size and leave excited and happy.

Great experience! All of the clothes here are clean and in very good, often almost new condition. The thrift store was well organized and very clean and felt more like a Ross than a thrift store to be honest. I got an Ann Taylor two piece suit in almost new condition for 35 bucks! Awesome deal. Its even more awesome knowing that the money is going to protect women who are victims of domestic violence. Great price for a great cause.

I love this store, the selection, the prices, and the people they help by having the store. The only downfall and reason I gave it 3-stars is because of the cashiers; they are not very welcoming. If anything, they are so quick to ring you out that they sometimes forget to ring up some of your items. Also, when they say "thank you" or "have a nice day," they say it rushingly & without any eye contact or sincerity.

Every time I visit there is so much new merchandise it is amazing. They move a lot of great stuff through here. Furniture, clothing, shoes, housewares, art, kitchenware, jewelry -- just to name a few!! Donations are accepted right at the front. There are always people outside to help unload and give receipts for tax purposes.

You will find great fine items in good condition for low prices. Plenty of used clothes shoes childrens toys kitchen and decoration articles. The store receives new loads of used items everyday. Even some vitamins or some natural herbal pills like liver detox and toiletries . There is used furniture as well. Worth a visit.

Cant. Stop. Going. To. This. Store. Great selections...prices raised a bit ago, but overall a great value. Staff can be a bit "standoffish," but most are volunteers and/or sentenced community service people. Those that arent, are usually very friendly, and they have to deal with lots of craziness from that neighborhood.

This is one of my favorite thrift stores. It is not a large space. It gets cozy real quick if it is busy. They frequently have nice things for a thrift store. I could be wrong but I think the benefits are for a womens shelter which is another good reason to go. If you are in the Lemmon area it is worth a visit.

Love Genesis Benefit Thrift store. Their prices are good to excellent. Their staff is fun and amazing. They get quality merchandise from Highland Park folks. They also stock season merchandise like Christmas decorations. Their purpose is to help woman and children in abusive situations.

I just went here for the first time and was surprised by the amount of luxury brands there were. Not all of the stuff is in great shape, but I did end up with a pair of nice jeans and my mother a nice watch. The housewares section and the mens sections could be larger.

I love this thrift store. Great deals on books and glassware. Nice brand name clothes as well-but be careful because they do sometimes over price brand name clothing. Staff isnt that friendly but the products and selection keep me coming back.

The Women behind the counter are rude as hell and Disrespectful.I will give credit where credit is due.Their selection is great when it comes to clothing and purses. But The front counter Help Lacks any type of respect for the Ts Community.
