I wanted to share my recent experience with Whitaker Buick GMC. I purchased a brand spankin’ new 2012 GMC Terrain …. And I love it… Smooth Ride, luxurious and modern interior, great fuel economy, and it can pull all my toys! Dan Fryman was my salesman whoom I was very happy with his service. I did my due diligence shopping around… And true to his word he found the exact vehicle I wanted at a price no other dealership would match. He did much to accommodate me through the entire process. Then there was Bob who set up my financing. He’s a very personable fella, presented me my options, I didn’t feel rushed or pressured one way or the other. He answered all my questions and I got to make the best choice for me. Then there’s the service team, Brian and Scott both have been great…. This is my second vehicle from Whitaker and honestly the quality of the vehicles and the customer service have been exceptional. And Last but not least there’s Renae my favorite receptionist. You can tell by the friendly banter amongst each other that they’re a close nit group at Whitaker and they all work really well together. It’s like dinner and a show every time I go there : ) So if you’re looking for a great American automobile, an exceptional sales and financing experience, and a top of the line service team to support you through all the miles to follow. I gave 1 star because that is the lowest this website would let me go. I actually would give them minus 5 stars if I could. I bought a used vehicle from them over 3 months ago, I still have no title to vehicle. I just got off the phone with mn dmv. They just confirmed how dishonest dealership was with me. And they had a good laugh when I told them what Whitaker told me about my title. I called Whitaker first with my concerns about the title. The salesman told me I had to apply for a duplicate title with mn dmv. Please explain to me how to go about that with a title that was never in my name? They also told me the title was out of Illinois. Dmv told me they had a clear mn title for it when they turned in paperwork to registrars office 8 Days after sale. If this dealership is going to be this dishonest with me about the sale of this vehicle ( after I had already paid them cash for vehicle ) I can only imagine what kind of runaround Im going to get when I have to get service on it. As I received lifetime drivetrain warranty service on it. Please be careful if you have any dealings with this company. I will never buy another vehicle from this dealership. I have also told all my friends and family to steer clear of this dealership.

I just bought my second used car from Whitaker Buick GMC in Forest Lake. Theyve always treated me well. My first vehicle was purported to have remote start (after market) by the people who traded in the vehicle that I eventually bought the first time. They even turned in the remotes with the keys. Admittedly I was disappointed when I found that the unit had been taken out, but it didnt take away from the quality of vehicle that I bought and drove trouble-free for over 2.5 years. Went back this past weekend and the salesperson recognized me, and, remembering the ONLY issue with the last vehicle started the vehicle I was looking at (and bought) while still in the building to prove that it worked. Gave us both a great laugh and as I told him, that one act alone likely sealed the deal. Thanks Whitaker! Ill likely buy a few more from you in the future. Customer service sells.

My truck was brought in for the windshield washer recall. When i picked up the truck I immediately noticed my programer was not working. It was working at the time I left it in the service bay. The manufacturer of the programer advised that my truck computer had been "flashed" by the service tech, thus erasing the programer codes and essenstially destroying the programmer. When I spoke with Brian, the service manager, he denied that the truck had been connected to a the techs computer. The manufacturer states that is the only way the programs are deleted from the programer. Considering this level of service provided, this will be my last service trip to Whitaker as well as I will never purchase another vehicle from them. Whitaker service tech distroyed my $450 Edge Programer and to lie about connecting my truck and reflasing my computer is unacceptable!!

We have purchased several cars from Jerry Dreckman at Whitaker Buick. He listens to what you want and then sets out to find that car. We never feel rushed to make a decision and he makes you feel that you are his only customer- even though that is not true. The LaCrosse we just purchased was what we really wanted, but we had come to the conclusion that it would be more expensive than we wanted. On Labor Day, Jerry called and had found one that was within our price range. It is over and above what we thought we would get- we love it. Jerry gives exceptional service and that is why we continue to go back to him for our car purchases. We have all of our maintenance done at Whitaker and have been more than pleased with the service in that department also. Thanks Jerry and thanks Whitaker Buick!

I purchased a 2012 Impala in November from Whitaker Buick GMC and loved the get up and go in that car, but after finding I needed more cargo space for my photography business I traded it in on a 2012 GMC Acadia lastnight from Jim Bush at Whitaker Buick GMC. I could not have been more pleased with the service. Jim treated me very fairly for my trade and goes to great lengths to always find the vehicle Im searching for. I could not be happier!!!!!! I have been a customer with this dealership for over 15 years and have never had a bad deal. Thanks to the entire staff at Whitaker Buick GMC in Forest Lake for their teamwork! Tammy Scheffer

Jerry Dreckman is an outstanding ethical caring gentleman. We brought our mother car shopping at many different dealers - it wasnt until we found Jerry and the Buick he recommended that she was happy. Jerrys kindness & patience made all the difference. She purchased the car ~ but the superior service did not end there!!! He has taken her calls when she didnt know what to button to press! (these cars are hi-tech these days) and even came out to the house to help her!!!! Who does that!!! We are very fortunate to have found Jerry and highly recommend him. Thanks Jerry, for everything !

Just came home from a routine oil change and tire rotation on GMC Sierra. Well-again not routine. Could not rotate tires because the tool to remove tires "defective". First time I went in did not have tool-told me I would have to pay for it. That was not going to happen. Next time, did the rotation. Today-defective tool that was used one time. Really!!!! Need to order new tool-so I can make another trip in. If had no health issues would probably not be a huge deal-but things not so easy.

I bought my car from them, it is the best dealership I have ever been too. Steve Whitaker is so nice Mike Gaydos was my salesman ge was perfect in helping me get to know How to use every thing on the car he is very detailed salesman. The other staff are always helpful & very curtious, there always on time or earlier then promised when servicing my car,I had other people give me coupons to go to other places to service my car for cheaper, but Whitaker is home for myself and my impala.
