I had a good experience at Jackson Auto Sales. Id recommend them to a friend, assuming they entered with a clear price-point and readiness to ask questions. A few points about my experience: - I was presented with the full Carfax history, and the sales rep answered all of my questions up front about the car and Jackson Auto Sales in general. +1 for that. - As it should be, Jackson Auto Sales had no problem with me taking the car for several hours to get an inspection at my mechanics shop. A couple of things that needed to be fixed were pointed out to me that were still under manufacturer warranty, but it was in solid mechanical condition otherwise. - The interior of the car was pretty dirty, with some dog/animal hair and a few stains. It was also missing two head rests on the back bench, along with a bracket to hold down the battery. I pointed all of these things out and said that if they would be fixed then, along with attaining a negotiated price, Id buy the car. Sure enough, when I came the next day to pick up the car, everything was taken care of: head rests replaced, battery secured, and some nice plastic coverings over the seats from having been taken in to the cleaner again. The car looked 3x better. The car should have been in better condition to begin with, and maybe saying "yes, well absolutely take care of these things" is a sales tactic, but in the end, I was happy with it. - It is definitely a sales environment, and they are surely in the business to make money, but thats what you should expect. I knew what I was looking for and asked a lot of questions, and I believe this aided towards a positive experience. The sales reps were very patient in my decision making, which I appreciated. I dont believe that "customer is king" at Jackson, but at the same time, they were not trying to screw me over. - If I didnt ask about something, they may not necessarily have told me about it. Thats why I recommend asking a lot of questions. For example, I mentioned that there used to be a hitch attached to the vehicle, and pointed out the electrical connections under the rear bumper. As you may know, added electrical connections may or may not cause future problems with the wiring that already exists in the car. The sales rep did not act like he was surprised to see the wires, nor did he communicate that he already knew about them. This was odd to me, and I would have wanted a clear "oh yes, there was a hitch attached." Im assuming he knew about it. If he didnt know about it, thats a whole other issue. - One additional point: I have read a couple of reviews where the buyer said they were "basically forced in to buying my car." Ignore these reviews. In these cases, the buyer clearly was not able to differentiate themselves from the seller and, if they truly felt uncomfortable, should have just left. No one forced them to buy anything. Its a sales environment, and you should thus expect them to try and sell you a car. I was happy with the customer service, but recommend not visiting Jackson if youre looking for the ultimate customer care experience. However if you are looking for a car and are willing to do a little homework, then Jackson Auto Sales is a good option.

Bought a 2013 Ford Mustang in fall of 2013 with under 10,000 miles on it. After I put lots of mods on it I brought it into a Jeep dealership, just to see what it may be worth to trade because it really wasnt practical in the winter. The Jeep dealership asked me when did I have an accident? I said Never. Well on the title search it said structural damage. They checked it out and sure enough the frame was bent. Never did Jackson auto tell me ( nor did I ask to see Carfax) but with less than 10,000 miles on it, I thought it was OK. Boy, was I wrong. .And I was told they didnt have to disclose that information. Never again! After losing $4,500.00 on trade, Ill never go or recommend this place. Ever! They cant be trusted. I believe I was taken advantage of because Im a women and know nothing about cars. Sad but true. So I lost 4,500.00 plus 2,000.00 for all the mods I put on. Very expensive lesson I learned.

Less then 30 days ago I purchased a 2007 Ford Edge from this dealership, on an as is. It seemed to run fine for the test drive, and of course the snow didnt help. Within 13 days of owning the car, i noted some concerning sounds coming from both the front and rear, Ive since had it inspected and have to pay $2559.00 in repairs tomorrow. new transmission and a few other things that the dealership should well have known about and informed me of before the purchase. The dealer has refused to make repairs or assist me in this matter other then allow me to "trade it in" towards a different car, how ridiculous! I ould not refer anyone to this dealership. The carfax report they wanted to charge me for, I have since gotten had a 147 reports

Driving around looking for a 8,000 to 9000, dollar car stop at a car lot on Hwy 61 and was not approved and then called my brother and he had told me about a lot on century Ave so I stop. And so we looked and found a Nissan and it fit our price we were looking for so I did not think the loan was going to go Thru. thank god for understanding people and a finance guru named Gary we were approved because he took the time to talk to the person at the finance company and we got the loan I would like to send my thanks to Jackson Auto for taking the time to show us what a real dealer ships is.

Like a lot of people I ran into some credit issues in life and decided it was time to rebuild it.... Where do I go? What do I do? A car was needed for my Pizza Delivery job so that answered that. After trying at a few places and being denied after spending hours in the store, I found Jackson Auto East!! After a short interview with their finance team, I was APPROVED!! Now after just 30 minutes in the store I am driving away in a nice vehicle that fits my needs and will allow me to make money delivering my pizzas!! I recommend them to all who read this!

I called about a chevy trailblazer that was posted on line with a good car fax, I was told to come in the next day and speak to JR. I drove all the way out here, sat down as he was on the phone. While he was on the phone he told me he would never sell it to me because it has so many problems with it. Then why is it listed on line with a clean car fax? I had 5500 cash in hand. They didnt even offer to have me look at anything on their lot, and didnt have the decency to speak to me off the phone. Rude. Taking my money elsewhere.

I just brought my mom to Jackson Auto to buy a vehicle. I have bought 4 cars from them over the years myself... We were referred by a friend to a big Franchise Lincoln store and had a very bad experience. I took my mother by the hand and walked out. After she arrived at Jackson Auto in Maplewood she was skeptical about car dealers. Well my mom had the same experience at Jackson that I did and left in one hour in a beautiful vehicle at a fair price and an acceptable interest rate on her financing! THANK YOU JACKSON AUTO!
