This place is a joke will never go back there ever again for any reason. Went there to pick up a car for my wife after looking at may cars for months found one here it was a vw jetta it was priced way over what it was worth. I walked in talked to a sales person who was trying to push the car on us told him flat out car was price way to high showed him kbb on my phone of what the price was took car for a ride he told me that it had just went through a what ever point inspection I laughed and said well they did a poor job. Because it need a few things and was also due for some service that vw need (timing belt kit and fluids changed) he stood there with a blank look and started to tell me about the options the car had where I had to stop him and inform him that he was wrong about what engine it has a vw did not even make that engine in the jetta whatever. So I tell him bottom line this is what Ill pay he goes in to talk to the finance guy comes out with a different price tells me it I say no I told you this is the max I will pay comes out 2 more times with different amounts I keep telling him this is it if you cant sell it for this amount Ill find a different one final after about 2 hrs of being there they say ok .I gave them a check said I would run to my bank the next day and get the rest and pick it up the next day. So I stop at the bank get the money later that night when Im off work go to pick it up pay fill out the last of paper work ask where the car is told they are just finishing up cleaning it waiting for some time the dealer is about to close soon I see the car pull up guy says washed cleaned and ready to go grate I jump in my car never looked at the car wife jumps in her new car we start driving home make it about 20 miles away she calls me says there is something wrong with the car its running like junk and feels like its going to die we pull over and I look at it saw right away they washed the engine and some how had broken the coil pack. and a tempted to fix it with some rtv we drove to wall mart where I got some rtv and tape and fixed it so we could get it home called the dealer left a message as they had closed . Thats not even the best part when we got it home we see that they had hit something or something on the passenger side rear of the car. now next day wait a few hrs after the dealer had opened no one calls me so I call and it was magic the guy I need to talk to had just left but would be right back wait no call call again he is at lunch wait call again after the 4 time I get a hold of he tell him I want the body fixed and a new coil pack. He try to tell me the body damage was already there I said come on I looked at that car top to bottom the day before then he changes it and says he will talk with his manager. Never calls back I call the next day he says still has not heard anything call later and he ends up telling me sorry it was a as is used car and I should have looked over the Car again before I finished the paper work. Wow never again I hope no one ever has to go through this..

The experience was okay from the beginning, I could tell from the right away that our sales rep was not very knowledgeable about the fleet of vehicles that were available but I could overlook that as long as all the information was correct. I could tell he was not knowledgeable because every question I would ask, he would just read directly off of the sticker on the car. But hey all is fine, he was answering my questions. We were going to lease a 2016 Kia Forte EX but as it turns out we were not able to because of some credit woes that we were not aware of, that is also fine, we accepted that and that is not the fault of Barnett. What happened next though was extremely unprofessional and the reasoning that I am telling all my friends (that are young professionals in the market to buy) and also my girlfriends dad, who is heavily involved in the local community (Lutheran Pastor) and loves Kias, to tell all not to buy from Barnett but still buy Kia. We got a call back saying that actually if we were willing to buy, they could get us a deal for the EX that was affordable for us and at a decent rate. We thought hard about this and made a lot of calls to make sure that this was the right decision. It was very stressful but worth it and we decided that we were going to buy! Well then we get a call saying actually the model that we were looking at is not actually the price that was advertised for, it was actually 5000 more and the quote that we got that was apparently affordable for us was actually for the LX not the EX. So after going through all this stress and having are credit probably take a hit because it was being looked into, they told us actually we couldnt afford the vehicle. So we were confused at this point and wanted clarification from the owner. We called and they answered but were hung up on, then we preceded to call 4 more times only getting the voicemail of the sales rep. Eventually they called us back and we were just told there is nothing to be done. We went through all this stress for nothing and only got a pretty apathetic sorry. I still recommend to buy Kia, they are doing great things but please think twice about buying from Barnett, there are other Kia dealers around the area. I know that this is one incident but they didnt even attempt to make things right even after lying to us. They do not care about the customer, they just care about their bottom line. Find any other Kia dealer so you dont have to deal with this unkowlegable and lying staff.

I was in an accident that totaled my car so, my fiance and I were on the search. We came in to look at the Kia Sportage; it was our last test drive of the day (about the 5th SUV) and we were riding a high from having a great experience with the Hyundai Tucson. We decided to still look into the Sportage just to have a good gauge. We pulled into Barnetts to see a whole group of sales people anxiously awaiting anyone to pull into their lot. Were both simple people and just wanted to test drive and find out the basic leasing options. The sales person takes us to his desk (with dingy dirty chairs) and starts going over the many features weve already looked into online and asking what features we want. We discussed our need and importance for safety features for our infant but, didnt need all of the fancy extras. So after what seems like a half hour he shows us the floor model. I get in and the visibility isnt as great as I liked in the Tucson. He then proceeds to tell me that its the exact same as the Tucson bc of this or that reason. I knew I didnt like the car just from sitting in it. But we decide to do the test drive anyway. He pulls the SUV up and instead of letting my fiance, who is an equal part of making this decision and equal financially, drive up front he tells him to get in the back seat (every other sales person has sat in the back to allow us both to experience the vehicle). As were driving he realizes Im not enjoying the vehicle then asks me what I liked more about the Tucson. As Im describing it he defensively and aggressively tells me the features I liked in the Tucson are not what I asked to see in the Sportage and that the upgraded version provides those but I never asked for it. Then, again aggressively, proceeds to tell me that in the insurances eyes a back-up camera is not considered a safety feature even though Im sitting there telling him I look at it as one (and every other dealership lists it as a safety feature). Everything we proposed as a con to the Sportage he became defensive to and not in a positive let me try to sell this way. At the end of the day, we walked away with this marked as a negative experience which in turn reflects badly on Kias as a whole to us.
