Opitz deserves five stars. It is the best liquidator for designer clothes around the Twin Cities that I am aware of. They also have household items at times as well as good gifts. My mother once got a Mackenzie Childs lamp for around $500. It retails over $2000. Everything there is 70% off the original price and I have gone to the Internet several times to make sure this is correct. One of my favorite fines was a pair of Stuart Weitzman stiletto summer sandals for $20. I was scared that they would think I switched the stickers because it was such a find. The shoes were still online for sale for over $300, their original retail price was almost $500. I found another pair of Stuart Weitzman booties this past winter and got them for $41. This pair of booties is from three seasons ago, but you would never know because they are equally in style as anything current. I have other designer shoes, designer swimsuits and dresses from there. You have to be willing to take time through the racks. If youre into handbags and accessories, there are usually several options for that as well. There is a second location in St. Louis Park, but I prefer the Minnetonka location. Its less crowded and I prefer the selection.

To be honest, it is a fun place to shop with great prices. Its like a thrift store but all new stuff! They have a very strict return policy which is fine. A lot of items you cannot return. Which you would think the cashier would be able to tell the customers which items they can and cannot return, but be careful this is not always the case. The manager said that I could not return an item that her employee clearly stated the day before when I purchased the item that I could return it. She was a very rude lady who did not apologize for her employees mistake, but argued everything I said. Finally I got the managers supervisors number and left. The top supervisor was very friendly and understanding and let me return for store credit. I saw there is another location in Saint Louis Park. I would hope the store manager there is a little more customer friendly. Also, I would hope the employees are fully trained in there.

Good prices - doesnt have a huuuuge selection for the mens section (but lets be honest...What clothing store does?) The lighting is lacking. It feels like Im just in some shipping & receiving warehouse section of a store. I understand why its like that - saves money and is easier than having track lighting or spots. However I really dont like being in the store for very long because it doesnt feel comfortable to be there long. Aesthetics aside - I really like this store. The staff is always friendly and the prices are great for the products they have. Some things arent cheap but theyre drastically discounted from their original (outrageous) prices.

This is an updated review since last year where I compared it to the SLP store - Since then the amount of clothing and number of top designer clothing has increased a ton. A much bigger space than SLP so you dont feel so cramped. Sign up for mailings and find gems if you can get there on Wed. at 12pm. But....if you have been a fan of Opitz as long as I have you know the drill: Check over every piece you are interested in very closely for defects, keep your receipts, and always try things on.

Not organized the best and the clothing was hit or miss. Some items appeared new and discounted similar to tj maxx or Marshalls. Most of the shoes looked well worn on the soles. Had staff standing guard near entrance and although she was cordial, it appeared as though she was trying to deter shoplifters, maybe thats a problem at that location? Cashier was very nice and helpful.

Horrible! I got 2 shirts one wasnt scanned I came back days later to return them and was told it wasnt scanned then was lied to in my face! It shouldnt be difficult to return something apart from that the manager was super rude and loud infront of everyone! Not the way to talk to costumers !!! Glad theres more than one because Ill never go back to that ONE !

Shoppers beware! The dressing room attendant is very rude! It is certainly not worth being humiliated by discourteous/rude staff. The assistant manager was nice, but it will be a long time before I go back.

An unexpectedmy cool designer clothing store with a warehouse feel. Steady streams of customers in and out, but great prices and an ever changing selection.

The deals one can find here... Make sure to allow at least an hour for scouring the racks. I almost always walk out of here with at least one great find.

Its okay if youre a standard size. I sometimes find great deals on shoes. No frills, and dressing "rooms" are bare bones with curtains instead of doors.
