Prepare to get blown away by friendly, outstanding customer service and quality work. I called them on Thursday, September 29th and discussed some tire options for my car with Kyle. In addition to the tires I inquired about, he made a couple suggestions and I agreed to stop in the next day to take a look. On Friday I pulled up, parked, and got out of the car. As I was walking out of the car Kyle and Joe came out and greeted me by name in the parking lot. Thats right, no walking in the store and asking a surly clerk behind the counter for help. These guys do service right and are eager to help get exactly the right tires for your needs. Once I decided on which tire I wanted, I was also pleased to find out they had them in stock. My car takes a somewhat unusual size, and nobody else in Altoona had any tires at all in stock in that size. But Discount Tire did. To top it off, their prices were significantly lower than any other tire shops I contacted and their shop and showroom are spotless. They brought my car right in, and during the process I had several visits from the guys working on it keeping me up to date on how much longer it would take. Not just once, but several times. Add to that they have large windows overlooking the bays so I could see exactly what was going on. When my car was finished (it took less than an hour from start to finish) not only was I thanked by the guys up front, but the guys who did the work came up and thanked me. Ive never, ever had that happen before. To sum it up, their prices are great, the place is spotlessly clean, their customer service is at an entirely different level than anyone, and I mean anyone else in the area. The quality of work was second to none, and I genuinely felt that my business was appreciated by everyone at Discount Tire. If you appreciate quality and customer service that stand head and shoulders above everyone else, make your choice Discount Tire.

Went to Discount Tire in Altoona, IA in June shopping for tires for my daughters car and my truck. Amos, the store manager quoted a price for my daughters car which was good so we got them. I was quoted a price of around $960 for my truck. I told him I would be back in August before we left to Nevada to get them. I even took a picture of the tire he pulled from out of the shop that I would be buying. He printed out a quote and said he would honor it at any time. So here it is August, leaving for Nevada in a few days so I go in to get the tires. Amos was not there but Joe the manager was. I told him the situation and he looked up the price and he told me there is no way they could sell those tires to me for the price I was quoted. He said the quote was only good for 30 days. I told Joe that Amos said he would honor the price when I came in to buy them. Joe said maybe they showed me the wrong tire or something. I showed him the picture of the tire and asked him if he thought I would just take random pictures of tires at his store. Long story short I was lied to by either Amos or Joe. I guess its back to Big O where Im treated nicely and professionally and not lied too. By the way I will make sure no friends or any one in my family does business with you and being a retired VET I will do my best to make sure no VET or military do business with you. All you had to do was honor your word. Seems like so many businesses today cant do that! UPDATE: Just went to Big O and got a better deal. Discount cant beat every price! Discount Tires you just lost $1000 sale!

On a family trip to Colorado when we end up getting a flat tire on I-80. Called and/or stopped at 5 different tire dealers/auto dealerships with no luck on having a tire in the size we needed. We thought we were outta luck but we tried one more place... DISCOUNT TIRE in Altoona. Joe and Joe did everything possible to help us get back on our road trip. Joe and Joe kept me informed of all that I needed and kept my kids happy by giving them fidget spinners and some new shades to keep them busy. A great tire store with great employees. Thank you Joe and Joe for getting us back on the road fast and safe.

I went to the Altoona location and dealt personally with Zack and Kyle. Both were very informative and friendly! Although, everyone that worked there seemed very knowledgeable and there to truly help the customer! The price was in my budget & they were able to get me in right away! And from the beginning of my appointment till I was done was about 45 minutes! Which is great because noone likes sitting in the shop waiting for their car all day! Ill continue to give these guys my service!

Extremely impressed with the customer service! I sent my wife in to have a new set of tires put in our mini van, the sales staff met her in the parking lot, helped her into the lobby with the baby, diaper bag, and and then supplied her with a drink while she waited. When the tires were on, they helped her back out. This is the type of service that gets you return customers, I was back in a few weeks and put a set on my truck. Thank you

If you are in the Altoona area there is no better place to get tires. Staff is great, service is top notch, prices are fantastic. I wish all auto services were done this well. I have had several vehicles serviced here and each time I stop by the service and quality is unparalleled. They had me in and all 4 tires replaced in less than 30 minutes.

Fantastic! We pull a car behind RV. Pulled into rv park and saw a screw in a tire. Just pulled up options on my phone. Could immediately see us. Their policy includes NO CHARGE for flats even if u did not buy from them. I was shocked and thrilled. Super nice staff, very fast, and no charge. What could be better.

Best customer service around. Kyle, the Altoona, Iowa assistant store manager, is helpful, thoughtful, knowledgeable and professional. We had worked with Discount Tire in Colorado and we were hoping the new shop here in Altoona would have the same dedicated and customer service oriented team as there. They do!

Very quick!! Popped in to have 1 tire mounted. Didnt have the cheapest one in stock that I wanted, but made adjustment and quickly wrote things up and tire dude had quickly installed tire on rim!! Wow fast and friendly service. Check them out!! Much better than the competition right by them!! Awesome work all!!
