This place is literally the 7th circle of hell. Made me want to puke and cry. Im really not a review person and i understand that people are just trying to run their businesss but i felt so disturbed by my experience here that I thought i should share. Your experience at Castle Couture will depend on which salesperson you get, what your price range is, and what youre interested in. I went with my two friends and their moms. My saleslady (whom I will be calling Rainbow for the sake of protecting her identity) gave me a bit of a tough time. I wasnt there with my mom which she took as a sign that I wasnt going to buy. When my friend pointed out that there was a sign saying that three girls could be supervised under one guardian, Rainbow reluctantly let me in but not after asking me multiple times if I was going to buy that day. I lied through my teeth and assured her I would buy because I had traveled an hour to be there and I didnt want to be sitting outside while my friends looked at dresses. HOWEVER, I had the means necessary of purchasing that day and i fully intended on purchasing if I found a dress. When my friend and I started describing what we were looking for, we both told Rainbow that our price ceiling was about $400. Rainbow paused and said that most of the dresses started at $450. We went in anyway and immediately both of my friends found dresses that they liked and started trying things on. I, however, didnt find anything that i liked and found myself trying to pretend to like things. Rainbow was really helpful in finding me dresses and I tried to be open to it by trying them all on. I started to panic when I couldnt find a dress I liked. This sounds so silly, its literally a dress. Still, I was not about to haphazardly spend half a thousand dollars. I felt more and more pressured to buy a dress and I was running out of time. The tiny dressing rooms had signs strictly forbidding photographs until after purchase. I had already told Rainbow that I would definitely buy today. I was so sick of the prom dress process and I wanted it to be over. I had traveled an hour just to go see these dresses. To top it all off, when a girl buys a dress at Castle Couture, they ring bells and all the sales ladies on the floor have to stop to clap and cheer. ?????????????! I felt extremely pressured into buying the dress. I facetimed my sister in a panic because i felt like no one was supporting my decision to not make any rash decisions about buying a dress to be a people pleaser. At one point, Rainbow even resorted to half hearted and creepy compliments about my body to make me feel better about the dress. I finally worked up the courage to step out of the dressing room and say that Id be coming back the next week with my sister. After a chorus of "Are you sure?" from two sales ladies and both of my friends moms, Rainbow finally said "Okay. Its your choice." She promptly grabbed the remaining dresses from the dressing room. I thought she might snatch the dress I was wearing off of me. I have no hard feelings toward Rainbow which is why I changed her name. Im sure she probably works on commission and was disappointed that I wouldnt be buying after working so hard to please me. My friends both found the dresses they love there and they had a totally different experience than I did. They had lots of fun finding dresses. Still, we could all agree that Castle Couture is extremely well run, polished, professional, and super creepy.

If you are looking to spend an excurbant amount of money & expect to get what you pay for DO NOT BUY A DRESS FROM CASTLE COUTURE!!! Yes, their store is beautiful & yes they have a great selection of dresses, but thats where it ends!! Go in, try dresses on, admire the store, but if you want what you want, I suggest you purchase elsewhere!! I was married on Sept. 6th, 2013. I started shopping for my dress in Nov 2012, with Castle Couture being my final stop. My original budget for my wedding gown was $2500.00 until I tried on a beautiful Stephen Yearick dress in the amount of $5500.00. This was my final stop. This was the dress for me. Even though it was out of my budget, the manager & consultant initially made me feel it was worth every penny, boy was i fooled!! Yes, they worked with me on the price, however, everything from start to finish was COMPLETELY WRONG!! A warning sign should have sparked when another bride ran out of the store crying. I purchased my dress at Castle Couture in Malboro NJ in January of 2013. I ordered a CUSTOM Stephen Yearick dress in diamond white with an extended cathedral length train on the dress & an extended cathdral length veil (I was getting married in a Cathedral so this was VERY important to me). As I mentioned everything was wrong from start to finish. Here is the laundry list. (1) When I got my veil it was ivory (WRONG). (2) Since my dress was being custom made, I needed the exaggerated sweetheart to be lifted up an inch & a half so my boobs werent hanging out - THIS WAS NEVER DONE (WRONG). (3) The dress WAS NOT made with my extended train as requested (WRONG). (4) I picked up my dress the night before my wedding (09/05/13), I took it out of the bag & hung it up as suggested, not noticing the dress was a complete diaster. It was completely wrinkled. Being the bride at this point the only people that noticed this was my bridesmaids. There is NO WAY it was steamed as promised the night before. I didnt learn about this until after my wedding when I saw pictures. My bridal party ran out the day of my wedding & purchased a steamer & spent an hour steaming my entire wedding dress. Of course they did not tell me until after my wedding. My bridal party was so angry they took before & after pictures. As a result, I barely had any bridal party pictures at my house (SOOO WRONG)..... (5) I also purchased my jewelry from there & after I addressed all the things that went wrong, I saw a different piece of jewelry I liked better. The difference was $100. You would think they would have not charged me the difference because of all the mishaps, but not a chance. They charged me the difference. Overall, I was extremely, extremely disappointed. There wasnt anything they could do about my train, I asked if they could still do it & they said they would call the manufacture & get back to me, they NEVER called back. They appeared as if they felt bad & want to be helpful, but it was all PHONY & they were trying to make me feel better. Since my boobs were hanging out I had to have a piece of material & a brooch placed in a $5500.00 dress which ruined the ENTIRE look of my dress. YOUR WEDDING DAY IS A VERY SPECIAL DAY & YOU CANNOT GET THAT DAY BACK!!! THINK TWICE ABOUT PURCHASING A DRESS HERE!!!

Horrible experience! Don’t get tricked by the “good” reviews!! I dont even want to give them 1 star! This may be long but please read before you get ripped off!! First of all, the consultant who helped me find my dream wedding dress was okay. The only reason I stopped and looked at this place was because of the reviews -- well you will find out shortly how they come up. She said if I gave them a review on their website that I would receive $50.00 off my veil (hint #1). There were changes to the dress I wanted to make and she stated because the type of material of the dress the designer is going to have to make those requests and that I had to wait an additional 3 months for those requests. That was fine since I bought my dress a year in advance which was Feb 24, 2013. They call me in August to inform me that my dress was in so I went right away, I took the first appointment. I brought my mom, my future mother in-law and my cousin who came up from an hour away. I put the dress on and none of the changes were made (hint #2). I said why wasn’t the changes made and they NEVER answered my question. They just jumped right in saying oh we have a seamstresses who is here right now she will treat you right you wont have to worry about a thing (hint #3). I didn’t think anything of it, anyway I go to the counter and I asked where my veil was, well …….. Let’s just say THEY NEVER ORDERED IT!!(hint #4) I had to wait an additional 3 months for that to come in and when they called to change my first fitting date I asked about my veil and they said we called you in November and left a message. I replied I didn’t get any call, they told me the number and it was incorrect, STUPID! How did they call me the other times? Now for the big finale, I go for my first fitting which they dumped me on the other side since they were “super busy” and it took the lady 15 minuets or less to put these pins in and to get me out the door. I look at the price of the receipt the lady handed to me, OMG I could have bought 2 more dresses!! I left angry and called the lady who I got my bridesmaid dresses from and now I am paying half the price Castle Couture was charging me. I went back to cancel and the lady left (now this was all within an hour after I left the store) and left with my dress. I had to wait till the next day and she had to confirm with the store manager if there was going to be a fee. OF COURSE THERE WAS A FEE a FEE OF $50.00 for the lady not even an hour spent on me and I said, where are the pins? Hahaha. They took them out! I said oh so you pay all your outside contractors $50.00 an hour crap, can you hire me? There was nothing stating I had to pay $50.00 to cancel my alterations with them but they wouldn’t let me leave the store with the dress which was mind that I paid for!!!! Please read these reviews don’t get fooled. Unless you want to pay a ridiculous amount on a dress, alterations, veils and much more but this is crazy. Do your homework, I should have did mine betterl but I don’t want another bride to go through what I had to. THIS IS NOT THE STRESS YOU NEED WHEN YOU ARE 55 DAYS AWAY FROM YOUR WEDDING! I will be sure to let everyone know my experience because you guys deserve to know before you go!
