Great inventory and prices. The checkout clerks are indifferent to people with disabilities, however the stockers will bend over backwards to fetch anything that is out of reach and the stockers are very helpful about finding things and giving polite directions to them. Curiously, some of their permanent price drops are equal in price to generic items. They close the self-checkout down at 9 p.m. even though the store is open from 6 a.m. to midnight 7 days a week. This also means you cannot pick up or return your Redbox DVD rental outside of those hours. In-store there is a Chase ATM and a Coinstar coin counting machine. I believe that there is also a vending machine for California Scratchers (lottery tickets). The floor is a glossy shiny clean concrete and the shelves and inventory are well dusted. There are at least 2 functioning motorized carts for persons with mobility disabilities. PS: In spite of what they might tell you, they do stock Hummus - and lots of it - hidden behind the potato salad in the deli item cold case directly across from their extensive meat cooler. LOL.

Incredibly cheap, they often have carts near the self checkout with even better deals of foods that either did not sell or are going to expire soon. They have 4 self checkouts and if you have ever been to a FoodMaxx the checkers do not face you. They have two exits and a dirt cheap soda machine outside. Their bakery is very affordable as well as their meats, but they do sell quick. The aisles are set up a bit weirdly. The wait times really do fluctuate, after lunch the lines can get long and even in the night, past 8 p.m. there can be a wait. Bathrooms are cozy and usually clean. It is located at a plaza so there is overflow parking but you will likely find a close parking spot.

Ill give Foodmaxx a three because the prices are good and the store is always well stocked. Unfortunately, the employees are super rude, unknowledgeable, and lazy. I asked two different employees where a certain product was and neither knew where it was nor did they express interest in helping me find it. The lady at the check out lane never made eye contact with me even after I said Hello and asked her how her day was. Just nothing. She was too caught up in conversation with the employee working the register next to her. Overall, this particular Foodmaxx is nice to save a buck or two if you dont mind terrible service.

While in foodmaxx on Monument Blvd in Concord I had to use the mens rest room. One person was in the stall as I used the urinal. I went to wash my hands when person was leaving the stall. He left without washing his hands. He was an employee of the store. Much to my surprise when I went to meet my Wife there he was handling produce. I also noticed no signs in restroom instructing employees to wash hands as I always see in restaurants. I refuse to buy produce products from this store again. I informed management but who knows what good that will do. Your health is at risk in this store!

A difficult store to navigate with narrow walkways. Ive found there to be low prices but not the deepest selections. Produce Ive purchased has been fair but not spectacular. If youre around Four Corners, its not a bad place to shop.

Love the chain. Great prices. Superior assortment of fresh produce. Butchers on site will cut and package what ever you need. Doesnt have a lot in the way of specialty foods. Great budget friendly grocery.

The self-check out is never up to date with the fresh produce. The lines are always really long with only two cashiers and a dozen of workers in the aisles just talking to each other. 2/16/2017 @ 3:45 pm

Great selection and prices. For example: 20 lbs. of ice at FoodMaxx = 3.49 and a 10 lbs. of ice at Safeway = 3.99. Friendly staff and they even have self checkout. Decent parking situation too.
