Came here to pickup ingredients for my talapia fish rice porridge (Jook)! 1 frozen talapia, pickled turnips, box of fried shallots, beef bouillon, and thousand year old eggs. When I got home, I boiled 1 cup of jasmine rice for 1 hour, then added beef bouillon cube, mix well. Added in the fish and chopped up thousand year old eggs. Then added in a finely chopped pickled turnips. Scoop up the jook, then add in the fried shallots and white pepper. Thats it. Yummy in a bowl. Theres 2 frozen food section, I like the section to the right side of the store. Service is not always great. Aisles are small. But its convenient Asian market shopping. This is why Chinatown is going down the drain because of these markets popping up everywhere. So true, so sad, and cant help it.

We are highly unsatisfied and felt offended by the services brought by the cooked food section. When we were to buying a roasted duck, we wish to know whether or not they are fresh from today, so we politely asked them. But their reply is highly offensive, they said in a rude manner that "If you want a duck from yesterday, we dont get any." This is a simple yes or no question, but they decided to answer it in a rude and vague way. This is just ridiculous. Not be mention, the duck is missing both of their wings.

i LOVE 99 ranch, they have all the asian snacks you can think of, and its usually pretty clean. When I used to live in Sacramento their 99 ranch was really big and had so many things. They were very clean as well. This location is not as big as I thought it would be and not as clean either but I will still come to grocery shop for my asian needs.

As a indian we can find some of the indian stuff and fresh vegetables here. I primarily go to this store to pick up the Fresh coconut & shrimp and live fish . This is the one of the best store for the regular house hold .This store is very clean. It has a lot of variety of fresh fruits , vegetables.

This is not a real ranch market. I recently moved from Southern CA where the ranch market has tons of variety of veges and fruits and the prices are very competitive when compared to chains like Ralphs, Safeway etc.. this market is no different from Safeway. At least Safeway wont stink.

You can find pretty cheap prices for produce, fish, and meat compared to the nearby Lucky, but if youre just looking for general asian groceries, go to the Newark location which is cleaner and larger with more selection!
