I strongly recommend buying appliances from a different store. Please read. On November 26, 2016 my husband and I purchased a 4 piece Frigidaire kitchen appliance set from Home Depot because we did a complete kitchen remodel. It was our First time ever buying appliance. Delivery date was set up for December 12th and we were told damaged items needed to be returned within 48 hours. A week prior to delivery date we realized we would not complete our kitchen remodel on time and I called to ask the delivery date be later. The best they could do was the 27th. (They never offered for us to pick up appliances at store and we could have done this) Since we have had no kitchen since October this date didnt work best for us because we would be done with kitchen on the 19th and we wanted a functional kitchen by Christmas. We decided to accept the delivery. At the time of delivery we didnt completely remove all the packaging (styrofoam) and examined to our best ability. To what we thought was acceptable, Possibly paying too much attention to the front. At the time of installation the wrapping was removed and found the refrigerator and stove were severely damaged. Damaged beyond functionality as the frame of each item was bent. The stove bottom drawer could not open and close. The fridge was leaning when packing was removed. The Items would not properly fit in cabinets. The damage could not have been caused by two humans dropping it. Frigeridaire only wanted to help by sending a technician to access damage and couldnt come till the week of the 26th. Home Depot offered little to no resolutions. They expected us to rebuy the items at the current price they offered no replacement or discount if repurchased never offered to waive or reduce the restocking fee said if we did get the appliances it would be 3-4 weeks. Or honoring their 30 day delivery policy Im beyond disgusted with the Eugene local store and the corporation. They have NO interest in customer satisfaction especially those who have spent a significant amount of money. They do not care if they lose customers. In the end the items were returned and we paid a $220 restocking fee and repurchased the items from lowes. Lowes had a fridge and stove in stock and we picked them up on the 21st. Please think fully when buying appliances from Home Depot. I strongly recommend a different company.

I was at the Greenacres Home Depot just after 5:30pm on Friday. I wanted to purchase 8 bags of compost and a fence cleaning agent. The garden center gates were closed so I found a cart on the lot and proceeded load them myself as they were stored outside also. After loading, a pushed the cart inside and found the cleaning agent unpriced inside the store. I went to the opposite end of the store to check out. The last register was the only one manned with a staff member working. There were six people in line, and I asked if another cashier could be brought forward. I was told the self check cashier was open and I did notice that there were three staff members talking in that area. My items were large and it is obvious to me that the five people in front of me did not want to use the self check either. Your business model is broken if you have staff standing while customers are waiting to check out. I decided to leave rather than wait or lift my heavy bags through the self check area. I went across the street to the Walmart where a clerk offered to load and unload my heavy items after I was checked through quickly.....and it was a dollar per bag cheaper for the same product ...Walmart service is better...Who would have thought ...

I just visited the Green Acres Home Depot and I usually cringe when shopping there for anything because of the lack of product knowledge from employees and lack of products that I need. My most recent visit however will make sure I never return to any Home Depot again. Apparently there has been a new policy change that makes veterans jump through hoops to get their discount. What my girlfriend used to show and was excepted isnt good enough anymore for them and they basically were calling my her a liar and discrediting her 4 years of Military and almost 20 years government servive. Lowes doesnt do that and to be honest they are a better store anyway. Is this insulting veterans a new Trump supporting store policy? This ridiculous policy change in your store has his stink of ignorance all over it. We walked out without making a purchase and wont be back. Making America Great Again 1 less purchase at a time. Good riddance Home Depot.

I usually go the Jerrys or Lowes. I had my veterans hat on, didnt even think about it. I just needed a paint filter so I stopped by this Home Depot. 99.999% of the time I will go out of my way to avoid Home Depot. As I was checking out, the cashier walks up to me and says "We dont honor veterans" gave me a huge attitude and walked off. I was caught off guard because I didnt even think to ask for a veterans discount in the first place. I was only spending $6.00!! As I walked out she made it a point to tell me that Home Depot will only honor discounts on veterans day. When I told her I didnt even ask for one, her response was "well, we just want all you veterans to understand that its an agreement we have with the Veterans Administration. She was rude! This is why I dont ship her. Its why I go out of my way to travel to Lowes or Jerrys where they know how to give great service and honor veterans EVERY DAY! This place is a joke.

Not my favorite store in the past due to unknowledgeable reps, but actually every experience Ive had in this particular store in the past year that I can recall was really good, and Im in at least once every couple of weeks. Mostly had what I needed. People knew where things were and were friendly. And to top it off, yesterday I brought in the Ryobi weedwhacker that quit on me two months in, no receipt, no packaging, expecting to be told to go **** myself, and their rental guy--Trevor--FIXED the damn thing. Quickly. I mean, really, I was in and out in 5 minutes. And he was friendly and polite, didnt make assumptions about what I did and didnt know (as a woman in a hardware store, I especially appreciate this) and explained what had probably happened (and Id hunted the forums for ages and tried everything on this with no success), and how to prevent it in the future. ...No really, Im pretty pleased with this store.

We asked for a bid from their window replacement service to replace one sliding glass door and two windows. The guy who came out was nice, quick, and seemed to know what he was doing. He immediately provided his estimate - which seemed outrageously high given what I had previously researched about these costs. The next day I had a reputable local company that specializes in window replacement provide a bid for the same work. The windows they specified were of a slightly higher quality than the Home Depot windows. The cost was 1/3rd of the Home Deport bid!! Unbelievable. Mark and Co also bid on doing the whole house - which meant three more windows. Their bid for the whole house was 1/2 of the Home Deport bid for only three windows. Needless to say Home Depot will not be getting my business - and buyers beware!
