Lets face it. We come here for the prices... not service or quality. Always a gaggle of young employees near the loading doors... they know nothing, dont bother asking. They will stare vacantly as self consumed customers park in the loading zone preventing the rest of us from pulling in and loading the materials we had the courtesy to gather and pay for first. No one knows where your special order is, please wait for half an hour while we find it. Frequently no carts to be found, or leastwise not the ones you need for the big heavy stuff. Where are they? In the back of the store full of inventory that hasnt been put away. Want to order a door? Good luck, no one is there... please wait for half an hour while we find someone to help you. No there is no button or magic lamp to summon help, ask someone in another department to page the person... they wont respond, but at least it gives you something to do while you are pulling your hair out. These are all slight exaggerations... but not too far afield. Very few quality power tools to be found. Anything on the higher end will have to be special ordered, unless its an impact driver. Go look at their finish nailers and tell me if you find even one that has a metal magazine... all plastic. Try not to step on it. Cheesier and cheesier every year.

If you need it and you really want to find it then dont bother asking the folks working there..seems to be everybodys first day and they point you to the isle that you would obviously look in first..the category isle..or they say they dont have it and you will find most times they do if you walk around and look..BUT..AND AN IMPORTANT "BUT"..If you spend too much time looking and dont have anything in your hand to purchase the store manager will say something to the effect of, "you dont seem to actually be shopping and youve been here a long time so i have to ask you to leave since your not buying anything" This happend to me and i had only been in the store for about 40 minutes.. but i refused the offered assistance because of so many past experiences where they offer and i tell them what im hunting for only to see a puzzled expression wash over them and hear them say "nope sorry we dont carry that" and then i stumble across it the next time im in the store somewhere gathering dust on a shelf.. But they may just not like the way i look or the way i shop or browse to compare prices to other stores.. bottom line..the stores a bit behind Home Depot in other cities and they may as well have gradeschool kids assisting customers.. Went to this store to buy a shade, after searching for 15 minutes for someone to cut the shade, was told only one employee in the store knew how to cut a shade, but that employee was busy, so I had to wait, after a half hour the employee showed up and wrote the measurement down on the box, and then cut it too short, but I didnt find out it was too short until I got it home, so the one employee who knows how to cut a shade, doesnt know how to read a tape measure, one without the other is pretty much useless, returned the shade, but they didnt have anymore in stock, so, two wasted trips to Home Depot, my third bad experience with this store. conclusion: Theyre Morons.

the employees here dont seem to know as much as the other home depots i have been to. I feel like when you go to a hardware store with certain hardware or project questions you should be able to have them answered correctly and not some mcguyvor esque mannner or just plain old rigging. I woould say corporate needs to send ina team of specialist and teach some basic things to some of these employees. What makes it the worst part is that customer service is always just barely there until you check out. having so much experience in other home depots across the nation this has been a disappointment and has tarnished my opinion of home depot.

These guys suck so bad. No one knows anything that works there. Very undereducated on the products they sell. Ive been sitting on the phone getting transferred back and forth while they try to figure out who the hell knows anything about diaphragm pumps. Its the most pathetic hardware store in Mendocino county. Mendo mill or friedmans is the best place to go! Screw these big corporate suck your money out of the local community boys! Oh yeah and now they just hung up on me cause they cant pick up the phone to answer my question. They suck so bad. Calling to speak to the manager.

i called them to get someone to measure my carpet they got it done and installed with in a week. they are affordable. i picked the carpet off line and asked questions they where able to help and i loved it at the end. the two gentlemen that came out got the work done fast and did the work perfessional. they where all professional and never took unnecessary time outs or anything. i felt comfortable with them here.. then later that week i went in for peel and stick tile and was in and out with in 30 minutes cuz they helped me .. thanks everyone i recommend them highly

Well its Home Depot its hard to find stuff and find people to help you and of course with their rigorous background checks. you get people who are completely inexperienced at life working there and they dont know anything. People with life experiences make better employees even if that experience was a bad one that they learn from which Home Depot doesnt understand they like to punish people twice. My friend couldnt get a job there because he stole a bag of Skittles once but he spent every other minute of his life not stealing Skittles but they dont look at that.

employees they messed up on every cut and size on my lumber, a few months ago they were fine what happened to them over night. Time to find a new resource. They cant make eye contact and if they see you have a question will run from you in the store I was blown away by the experience. I cant believe they pay these guys to sit around and be lazy talking about there pink tie. The one guy was more interested in there socail media then work. The moment u realize where the lazy generation in there 30s ended up.

Store is highly unorganized! Aisle are normally blocked by products. I have had to move pallets of product to get by. Most associates are not willing to help or are rude. I do not understand how corporate would allow a store to be such a mess! Im not the only one that feels this way in the contractors world when we have to go to Ukiah Home Depot. My local Redding CA. Home Depot store is Awesome! Always friendly and clean. Ukiah should take from their example.

I recently ordered an appliance they called and told me it was ready I made an appointment to pick it up and called one hour in advance. When I arrived I noticed no one felt like speaking to me and when I found someone who would, he asked if I had called in advance. I explained that I had, and quickly learned that no had unloaded it off the truck yet. So I waited for another 40 minutes in front of the store.
