I never have any complaints when I leave here, as a matter of fact I usually leave quite satisfied. I know many of the workers personally and they always go out of their way to help me and make my shopping trips seem like less of a chore. I have two toddlers and oftentimes the workers will go out of their way to offer them a balloon or sticker. If I go to the Bakery/Deli theyre often offered a cookie or a slice of cheese, which they love. If you compare Kroger to the local Walmart, they blow them out of the water. Kroger is way cleaner, they have better selections, (MUCH) better prices, you often get coupons when checking out, not to mention you can download Digital Coupons right to your Shoppers card. Also, if you make a purchase and forgot your coupon at home you can take your receipt and your coupon back to the assistance desk and get refunded for the coupon price. Being a mom of two and sticking to a budget this is very convenient because I tend to forget mine. Mom-Brain, right? If they are having a sale on a specific item and they run out you can get a rain check for the sale price. In comparison to other local stores, during their peak hours the shopping lines go much faster and they always have extra cashiers ready to jump in when the lines to get a little long. I would say theyre Pharmacy is also the quickest (and quite possibly the friendliest) in town. One more thing I appreciate about Kroger is that they always have the electric carts charged and available. Nothing is more frustrating than when you go to take your disabled loved one with you to the store and are forced to go to another store because all of their electric carts are taken or have dead batteries (Walmart). Oh, and fuel points, need I say more? The only thing I would say they could change to improve and satisfy more customers would be implementing a Price-Matching policy. However, their rewards system and in-store sales do counter for their lack thereof.

I usually stop for a few things and wind up buying more. But, the things I stop for are out of stock 50% of the time. Since the "remodel," it is dingy, warehouse looking and tries to jam new item lines in while lowering stock on others. Elimination of such things as the rack that had the soup cans in it has led to people scattering them EVERYWHERE. Very hard to scan and choose now. Kroger has a habit of sending coupons for items they have stopped carrying since the remodel! DUH!! Items in the pharmacy area marked temporarily out--for months now. Kroger clone brands. The gas points are okay if you can run low grade gas in your car. Most people dont know top tier from low grade anyway. Gas points always grab your new ones without using the prior month first. If you dont know how to correct that, they expire before you know it. Finally, the surveys. Kind of a joke. Basic statistics class manipulation. Cmon!! Do the sights, sounds and smells make me bond with the store? I dont want to LIVE there! Would I drive by other stores to shop there? Well, not if it was Whole Foods!

It is essentially the only vegetarian friendly store in Greencastle. No other stores come close to the selection. Problem is, after the remodel, they spread the vegetarian selection all over the store. Mostly spliced into other areas, one in the frozen section of breakfast items seems totally random choice by their home office. Beyond that though, its the only game in town (Walmart barely has any selection and obviously doesnt care about vegetarian lifestyle options) for vegetarians visiting or living in the area.

I have always been a fan of the Kroger/Payless store chains. Great place to go for fresh produce and meats. I am especially fond of their member system: fuel points, free items, coupons on stuff you actually buy. Theyve got their stuff together. The only downside is that items not on sale tend to be a bit pricey, especially when their is a ALDI just down the road.

Regular shopper at this store. Employees very nice and cashier June always professional and friendly. Gave this store a 4 because groceries not always bagged properly. Several times had bags break from too many items or sacks that needed to be double bagged. Had to return outdated cheese once and was given apology and refund.

The Greencastle Kroger hardly ever runs out of products, has a great healthy food section, and a great pharmacy. When things are on sale, they are really on sale - not the 5 or 10 cents that other places call a sale. They have the best produce section of any store around.

Most of my grocery shopping is through this Kroger. Ive had a few issues where they let people give you tickets and then high pressure you to buy something. Not what I go here for. If I wanted to buy a hair dryer and bananas I would go to Walmart.

This home town store is awesome. When you go in the door you are always greeted with a hello. They do their best to get to know you, and when they do, you are # 1 to them while you are in there.

I would like to give 5 stars but it seems everytime I want something they are either out of it or have discontinued it. The workers are usually pretty friendly and helpful though

Worst experience ever. No selection one checkout open other than self service and staff could not tell me where anything was located. Needless to say I did not make a purchase
