We bought two recliners last May that were bonded leather. They told us it was "leather" which, its absolutely not. Fine...not the end of the world. Then they both broke. It took about 5 months for one to be repaired. One year later they told us the manufacterer went out of business so we have to return our chairs and pick out different ones. They cant repair the ones we have. So, weve been looking but we noticed that some items have 2 price tags and more than a few times a sales rep has said "Oh, thats not the price" and put the other tag on that was in the sleeve. We tried to talk to the staff about being uncomfortable buying anything else with Hom Furniture because of the price swapping not to mention the issues weve had. They swear they do not price swap and one particular sales rep was really indignant and I felt bad like perhaps I didnt understand. Well, a few weeks ago we picked out two new ACTUAL leather recliners but my husband is still reluctant to order anything with them so we waited. We really need chairs so we went today and they just happen to be having their 29% off sale. We worked with the same gal we had when we picked them out (we figured some consistancy couldnt hurt). Only this time the price went from 480.00 to 697.00. We were confused so I said to her, this isnt the price that they were a few weeks ago. She said, "Im sorry, I can only go with the current sale price." I said..."What sale price, these went from 480.00 to 697.00. So she said she would go check the price, came back and said..."Well, with our sale its only about a dollar difference. Now, I had the card with her name on it, the item and its price so I took that out of my pocket and said "So, you marked up the price 29% and then said its on sale for 29% off?" She had no answer and we left. I have noooo idea what we are going to do, our money is tied up in the broken chairs that we have and we are not comfortable shopping there. Im just glad we didnt spend more.

I should have known better than go to HOM. However, after sitting on almost every couch at Slumberland, I knew we needed something with more firmness. HOM had a great sofa with leather lining the bottom and microfiber on top. It was on special for 30% off, so we decided to buy and had it delivered. When we ordered the couch, the woman on the other line, (very, very young and inexperienced,) was quite rude. I asked her if it was okay I call back and speak to someone else as I was having trouble hearing her. We asked to speak to a manager and was on hold via phone for over 10 minutes. (I hung up.) Then we called back, received the same girl and just put the order in. She stated we would Its been less than a week and a half and our coach cushions are all wrinkled. This is a couch we only use "occasionally." Can you imagine how it will look in a year? The middle cushion where we typically sit is now significantly lower than the others. (To put the obvious at ease, were both athletic and not overweight. And, we dont jump on our couch, though that sounds like fun!) Its clear that this couch has sub-par cushions, (which is a bummer as its a great-looking couch!) When we spoke to the manager, he was looking into replacement cushions. Were going to give them an opportunity to fix it and well update moving forward. But note: This isnt the first time Ive heard of this from HOM. (My parents ordered a specially-made chair and it was significantly-flawed and had to be returned by the same truck it was delivered on. Id be careful about buying from HOM, especially after reading other reviews. Were hoping they can fix our situation!

Ordered $5500 worth of stuff from Hom. I received my dining room table and chairs in about a week. After that it went south very quickly. I was quoted 6 weeks for my couch and bed frame. I am a very patient person and do not like to call people and complain. After 9 weeks (gave them a 3 week buffer) i called about my order and they were able to get me my couch on week 10. Now for the headboard. I called 12 weeks after ordering (3 MONTHS!) and said my fiance was hosting an event in a week and we really would like to have all of the furniture in our home (all true). They said they could get me everything just hours before the event started making it 13 weeks after my order (7 weeks late). Now i just got off the phone and they canceled that and are now telling me it will be an additional 2 weeks making the time from order to delivery 15 weeks! Seriously! I can see being off 1 to 2 weeks but being late by 9 weeks is crazy! As i said i am not one to call and complain, I was very nice on all of my calls and i gave them a good 3 week buffer before i even called the first time. What is frustrating is that if i would have been a jerk and called every week after 6 weeks and yelled at people i would have all of my stuff by now but since im nice they just let it slip. So if you can wait 4 months for your stuff then go ahead and order from Hom, otherwise go elsewhere. UPDATE: After calling and talking with their sales manager to ask for a discount so i dont have to cancel he basically told me "go ahead and cancel" but I will discuss a discount after its delivered. Good customer service...

Where do I start, it was a day like any other day. I woke up and the sun was shining, the birds were chirping and my lovely wife was standing there with a Bloody Mary to start my Sunday. It was going to be a great day. Then she said it and it seemed like slow motion "lets go furniture shopping". I think that I actually spit some of my drink on her when I heard it. Long story short I would rather get a vasectomy than spend my day looking at furniture but since she is smarter than me and hot she somehow tricked me into going. We ended up at the Hom store in Lakeville and thats when we ran into Jon Phillips, a sales rep. I tend to run from sales reps or flying monkeys as I call them but Jon seemed different. Jon eyed me up and knew that he had a challenge ahead of him but instead of running like most he sized me up, took a deep breath and then moved in. At first I was a little apprehensive but I soon realized that Jon knew his leather couches and had our best interest in mind. Minutes turned into, well minutes and we were sold. Jon worked with us and before we knew it we were purchasing a very fine quality set of furniture. Jon shook my hand and had a grip like a lumber jack and for a second I thought about thumb wrestling him but didnt want to embarrass him when I won and made him cry uncle. Jon did a great job and made our shopping experience a great one, I would definitely tell my friends, family and maybe even some people that I barely know to shop with Jon. When we left Im pretty sure that I saw him tear up from shear emotion of knowing that he had another satisfied customer. 5 star service.
