First of all, I never give a 5 star rating but they are close. What to look for? Well, for starters, Value. You cannot find better produce or a meat market tailored for asian dishes, for the price unless you attend a farmers market. They have asian products that cover Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and other miscellaneous products from the far east. If you are looking for a unique asian gift, this is the place to check out! But their main attraction is food. The food court is diversed and again, for the price its hard to beat their tasty meals from asian soups to bogogi dishes. Their pre-made kimchi of many variety is simply awesome! The collection of sake is diversed and other asian winery is best in the metroplex. What may irritate you as it did me? The shoppers can be rude, blocking isles and not care that you are trying to get through. Parking can be irrating during peak times. If you are looking for a certain product, good luck in finding someone that speaks english to help you find it! Also,some products do not turn over. A tale tell sign is can and packaged goods. Always, Always look at expiration dates on any edible product, if the package is not stamped, and it is dusty, do nott buy it! It is not worth taking a chance in getting sick. If you are looking to browse asian products or simply find the freshest vegetables, fruits, and meat including red meat for the price, this is the best place in town!

The store is selling some unusable product, there is no return or exchange or store credit after 14 days. I bought the hot pot around $43 included tax (made in China product). I add soup that just boiled from stove into the hot pot and wait for 20 min, we can see some smoke, and add veggie, seafood, meat... wait for hours never boil, its just warm. We find out right next day the hotpot is never hot, but warm, and ready to return on the next day. However, we forget and left it in the trunk, were asked for store credit due to we forget to return within 14days (that is what staff tell us, we did not know their return policy, which is in US return items usually 30 days, some store can be 3 months). When we brought to them, theyre tested with 1 cm (less than 1/2 inches) of warm water in the hotpot, and touch water said it is work due to they can see a little bubble show up on the bottom of the hot pot. It is meaning the hot pot is working per their staff. No return or exchange or store credit due to the hot pot is working and after 14 days. Of course, we dont take it back, (what they do with the hotpot? and keep customer money), their staff tell us try again, our whole family seat their waiting for the hotpot to boil the food hours, who is going to try again with your already repair food, were asking for exchange or store credit they refuse due to the hot pot is working.

About as good as it gets for an Asian supermarket, which are usually cheap but dirty/dingy. Used to go to a supermarket in "Chinatown" here, but H Mart has replaced it. We shop late Sunday mornings when its not too crowded and get all of our produce here. For more American goods (snacks, milk, cereal, bread) or Chinese-specific goods, we go elsewhere. Pros: + Asian supermarket prices with clean facilities + seafood: the best part about Asian markets, fresh and reasonably priced + vegetables: wide selection, very fresh, and great value + fruit: also cheap, but requires picking through bruised ones at times + meat: priced competitively, but prepackaged in larger quantities (too much for our household of 2) + dried goods: lots of mostly-Korean spices, snacks, other goods + food court: mostly Korean food, tasty, convenient, and cheap Cons: - if youre looking for organic, this isnt the place - hard to get English-speaking service if you have questions - harder to find non-Korean, Asian dried goods (spices, herbs, etc) - seemingly higher turnover of goods; some more Chinese-style items we used to get no longer stocked

Hmart is one of my favorite stores. Their produce is absolutely gorgeous. They carry rare fruits and veggies like Lychee, Mangosteen, Starfruit, Korean Pears, and the best little Thai coconuts to drink from. They sell Korean, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Philippine, just about any cultures various foods and snacks. Its rad. I especially love the Japanese and Korean snack aisles lol. Hmart also has a little kawaii shop inside, as well as several Korean beauty shops. They also have a ton of local and imported alcohol. Choya wine, good beers, sake, etc. Also they have a little food court with a little gyoza shop, a sushi place, a bimibop place, and a few other little food places. Theres also a bakery called Tous Les Jours, try the Milk+ pastry. Hmart is also surrounded by the best dessert and coffee places ever. Snowy village, Brown Sugar, Cafe Bene, Mozart, etc.

My favorite supermarket of all time - where else can you get fresh sushi, kobe beef, fresh KimChi, best selection of instant noodles in bulk, fantastic meats and seafood, as well as a lovely array of food court selection? I have to stop myself there because this place offers so many delectable items that you have to really really pause and ask yourself if you really NEED everything in your cart before going over budget. In this Korea town there are some fantastic freaking restaurants, too! Pro tip: eat first before going grocery shopping because you definitely will grab everything you see here on an empty stomach Pro tip 2: if you spend over $40 here, you can get a discounted ticket to the fantastic Spa Castle across the street! This is one of the special spectacular things that make this place extra-special

Great grocery store with wide variety of prepared meals but what is wrong with their food court? Its absolutely disgusting and an insult to Korean food. There are always more foreigners eating there than Koreans which tells you the food sucks. The food court looks like some flea market with each food stall adding random stuff to their menu trying to sell more stuff and menu items taped to the wall. I got the Black noodles there and the veggies were burnt, mushy and sauce was too thick. Also got dumplings and bento box which where Ive had better. Black noodle dish is such a staple Korean dish and it was ruined. Its like messing up packaged ramen noodles. Why H mart doesnt do a better job at putting better food vendors there is beyond me.

We enjoy going to this store for fresh groceries, seafood and snack items. They have a huge variety of home goods. Lots of bite sized samples as you peruse the aisles. Nice food court with lots of different food options like dumplings, noodles, sushi, and other Asian specialties. Food court seating area is a bit small for such a large store. They have little knick knack shops inside that sell novelty items, toys and clothing. I particularly like the free crushed ice to keep your frozen goods cold on the drive home in the TX heat. With shoppers rewards program, you get digital coupons which is nice. If at all possible, shop during the weekdays; Saturday shopping is extremely overcrowded and the aisles are narrower than other stores.

This place has everything in the way of Asian foods. Shabu corner is great, prepared foods are great, excellent produce selection, every single snack and candy you could have ever imagine... Its great. Definitely go to the bakery too. You will literally be in this place for hours on end because there is just so much. Its only slightly disappointing that there is such high traffic, and for some reason, its totally okay to be running into other shoppers or stopping in the middle of an aisle without leaving room for anyone else? Im not exactly sure why that is, but be prepared for it and dont expect an apology. Still worth it, though!
