This is in regards to the mattress firm store located in Ankeny, IA. We recently purchased a mattress for our son. The salesman helped us on a deal with older models, which was great and saved us some money. However, we added a mattress pad last minute, of which the salesman did not tell us how much it cost and added it to the total. With a newborn baby and 2 year old in tow, we needed to get going quickly so we paid and left. As we examined the receipt, we found out the cost of the mattress pad was much higher than we expected. Since we knew we could buy the same pad at 1/3 the cost elsewhere, we attempted return of the pad. The return attempt occurred within 5 days of purchase and the pad was unopened. The salesman refused return based on "policy". While we understand if any pad had been opened this may be an issue, nowhere on the receipt did it state we couldnt return it, nor were we informed during the purchase. We feel cheated, as if we were taken by a sales ploy to charge exorbitant amounts of money for something and then not allow return. We have contacted the company in attempt to right thi and will update once that has occurred. Until then, we would no longer shop here or recommend anyone else does.

I had a good time actually choosing my mattress, the salesperson was good but when I got my bed delivered the next day, it was very tall (not like in the store). The salesperson made me feel comfortable enough to call back and ask how it can be fixed and he said that the next weekend they would send a delivery for a new box from 10-2. Well, about 1:30 nobody had come so I called to make sure and he forgot to put the delivery in to my place but said he could have someone in Sunday night. Sunday rolls around and he calls me saying the delivery people are too busy so they cant deliver to me. He threw in a refund of my bed frame for the trouble which was nice. So I had to wait another week. Well, they came yesterday to deliver my new box, but had the wrong size. So I talked to the person at the warehouse and they said they would bring me one tomorrow right at 10 AM. As Im writing this, its past noon. Im very disappointed with the communication between people and the downright inability to do their job. I will not be purchasing a mattress from Mattress Firm again.

I came in 30 minutes before closing time looking for a new bed not knowing what I would like. Micheal was the one working that night and he was more than happy to help and tell me more about the different choices. Being the first time buying a bed on my own I was happy to know that he wasnt just pressuring me into buying something just so we could leave him alone. He has such a positive attitude and deserves more than 5 stars!

My wife and I had a great experience here. The salesman we worked with, Eric, was fabulous. We felt no pressure to purchase and let us try each bed for as long as we wanted. We purchased a bed, and when we came back a month later saying we didnt like it, he let us take our time to choose a new one, and we were charged nothing for the change. They really do honor their guarantees!
