Do NOT go to Slumberland to purchase furniture. This company is so screwed up! This is the second time we have worked with Slumberland and the second time they have screwed it up. Heres the chain of events this time...wrong piece of furniture delivered, bill started coming before the correct furniture was even delivered, and the store was chaotic and disorganized to try and get it taken care of, which they did not (the bill, anyway). We are currently waiting for the correct furniture to be delivered. The store manager said she would send us a gift certificate for our trouble. She sent us a "get $25 off if you spend $75--not for use on sale or clearance items." Really? Thats not a gift certificate, thats a $50 shopping trip. Next, waiting for the correct furniture. The sales manager said, "Dont worry, I will take care of you." Call #1, "your furniture will be delivered Thursday, you will get a call the Tuesday before to reserve a 2-hr time slot." Call #2 "on Tuesday, your furniture will be delivered on Thursday." Me--What about the 2-hr time slot? Them--I cant reserve that for you. Me--Why are you calling me and why did the previous gentleman say that you could. Them--I dont know why they said that. You will have to call this number on Thursday morning to reserve the 2-hr time slot. I said no thank you and called the store directly to talk to the store manager who was "going to take care of us." Them--Oh, shes not in today. Me--Is there anyone else there who can help us out and make decisions. Them--No, thats really just the store manager. Sorry, Slumberland, Im not buying furniture from you ever again, and Ill be giving my gift certificate to someone I dont like very much. Please get it together!

We bought a new sectional and it arrived in December. When the humidity went up in the spring my living room starting stinking like Ive never known before. It was even bad with air conditioning. We put the ottoman on our front porch and the front porch stinks really bad too as well as the ottoman. We have new carpet in the living room also, so we checked the carpet. The carpet was fine. We love our sectional set, but the wood in the sectional stinks so much it is unbearable in our house. I called Paula the manager at Shakopee Mn where we bought it. She was prompt and courteous and said a technician would come to check it out, that was 3 weeks ago and no phone call from the technician. Ive read horrible reviews about slumberland since our sectional started stinking (checking out their reputation with resolving issues) and tried to be positive. But I guess the terrible reviews are true. I will continue to call them and report them to the BBB trying to get this resolved. Ive bought lots of new furniture in my time, but this was the first from slumberland. I hope they correct this.

My husband and I loved our experience at the Slumberland store in Shakopee! We we greeted by Tom, who was extremely knowledgeable about both the furniture and the mattresses. Tom was not pushy at all and seemed more like a friend who was helping us and being honest about both the good and the bad. We were looking at a recliner and Tom pointed out that the back might not be tall enough for my husband and he would have to put his hands behind his head if he reclined. He was right. The store is bright, clean, and modern. After visiting all of the other stores nearby we ended up doing all of our business here. Such a better overall experience.

The layout is circular which is great since most stores are linear. We came in on labor day weekend to pickup a bunk bed, the employee was very nice and got us out the door within 5 minutes. Here is where I gave it 3 stars only, after finding a more affordable bunk bed else where, the customer service representative we called stated we had to find the original employee in order to process the refund. We had to take the extra step and head back to the store and process, fortunately we did not have to find the original sales representative.

The locations of the different types of furniture seem to be randomly spread throughout the building, but their sales staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Debbie made sure we knew how to navigate the sales floor, while giving us our space and time to think.

We bought a sectional at Slumberland and were very pleased with it. The sales staff was helpful and didnt try to oversell us, just helped us find what we needed. Delivery was right on time and they moved our old sofa out for us.
