We were searching for a couch for our new apartment and boy did we leave dissapointed in the customer service level here. The furniture is good and they have some nice pieces at good prices but that older hispanic lady they have selling is the rudest person I have met! We went in asking about pricing as we had seen the same couch at another place for $800 and we asked this lady if she could lower the price, she said she could do $900 and something (honestly with all the irritation I felt of what she said I forgot the exact amount) I asked if she could do the same or a little lower of the $800 we saw at the other store. We understand if it cant be lowered we were even willing to pay the amount she told us and with a simple "Were sorry, we cant go that low" would be enough but no!! This lady told us in the most sarcastic voice " Well you better run and go to that other store because you wont get that price here with us!" We ignored it and chalked it up to her having a bad day or something and decided to leave since we were feeling irritated at this point but again she follows my husband and I as were exiting and proceeds to tell us once more in a sarcastic tone "Run, Run! hurry and go to that other store because you wont find that price here". That was completely unnecessary!!!! She was practically kicking us out of the store! This was not the first time we came here. We had visited 2 weeks prior and we were taken aback by how rude and condescending she was but again us being nice, thought she had a bad day or something. Definitly will not visit this place again unless that lady is gone and I WILL tell all friends and family not to visit this store when that lady is there!! Furniture is good but we can find the same somewhere else where we will actually be treated NICELY and welcomed!

Bought a dining table here a few days ago. When I opened the box and tried to install it, I immediately noticed that there are a couple of screw base missing on one chair (attached photo), which make it impossible to assemble. There are small scratches on the table as well which I am fine with, but missing assembling parts is something not ok. When I called the store and warehouse, they asked me to drive two hours to bring it back, or ship it back at my own cost to get it repaired. Could not understand why I have to be responsible for this quality issue myself. It claims that there are five-year warranty with this product, so am just wondering if anything happens later in case, do I need to haul the whole package all the way along back to store at my own cost so as to receive warranty service? Frustrated. Gave three stars for the warm greetings when walked in first time and the fair price. But post-sale customer service matters as well. Follow-up: Contacted by store manager and get this resolved. So far is good now, thank you!

Got a good deal. Waited a week to go get it so they could order it. Picked it up in a rented truck and it was all wrapped up and ready to go. Dropped it off at our apartment, took the truck back and then later in the day I (6, 175lbs) sat down on part of it and a spring was broke and makes a horrible noise. They absolutely refused to come pick it up and said Id just have to rent a truck again and bring it back. Great before they get your money, absolutely horrible after. Shame this is so typical. DONT BUY FROM THIS BUSINESS Update: They cant find my name because it was in my girlfriends name. We called twice within the first week and got the same response, "Sorry, but youll have to rent a truck again and bring it back". Both my gf and i were not happy they just didnt want to hear it. Done dealing with them after that. Funny how they try to sound helpful after you make a negative public review. Consumers, youve been warned.

I bought a couple of beds for my new house last week and requested delivery after 10 days. Accidentally saw the same bed in friends house and he said it broke in 2 months and is such delicate wood. we changed our mind and asked if we can cancel. The counter guy is so rude over the phone... and says there is no return policy. I wonder even for an item that is still in their store, they dont cancel the order. finally requested for one bed cancellation. . They delivered another bed today... yes today. it has got all scratches everywhere. we showed in one place the mirror piece is broken. the installation guy says it is back side. So no one can see it. My wife kept quite. I am just seeing this... their quality sucks... made a mistake. I would never go there again.

After having horrible customer service at Slumberland and being totally forgotten about when some one new came through the door, I decided to go to American furniture mart and as soon as I walked in Vanessa greeted me at the door with a warm welcome and stayed beside me to ensure that I would get exactly what I was looking for. Also the financial person that assisted me was as well as great. I could have not be more please and the best thing about it I am able to get my furniture the very next day and would not have to wait a whole two weeks. And got excellent furniture at a great price and not an arm and leg for . Thanks so much American furniture mart on highway 81

I recently visited this store thinking that they would have some great deals. They did not. Most of the stuff was from Ashley Furniture. They had the couch set and table set that I purchased from Ashley 4 years ago and the price was the same as when I bought them from Ashley. Dont expect more than 10% savings from retail. Sales person told me that they are averaging 20-30% of manufacture suggested retail. No retail furniture stores sell for full mfg. suggested retail price. They do have a large selection though and you may find a deal, but I certainly didnt.

I drove out to Brooklyn Park expecting to find a great deal. Instead what I found was poorly stocked store that sold furniture that would fall apart with two or three years of normal use. While the sales people were helpful, I couldnt find anything I liked, and I tried hard!

Not the fanciest place to go look at furniture but boy I have to say that they had not too bad a quality for a very good prices. If you are on a budget and need to fix up a room and dont care if the furniture lasts you 20 years it was pretty good

Great place lots of sales my wife new what she wanted so we just went in and said I want this and that payed cash. Got a deal would of payed double that at another store in Minneapolis thats for sure. Now just waiting for the delivery.

Lets talk about Eugene from the warehouse, where I picked up my mattress. My goodness, talk about great customer service. He was SUPER helpful, nice, and very thoughtful. This man deserves an AWARD or at least a huge RAISE!
