I cannot stress enough how much I will NEVER recommend this location or surgeons to anyone else. Granted, everyones eyes are different, so I can only speak from my own personal experience. I had the Lasik procedure done in January of this past year and up until 2 days ago I never got 20/20 vision. When I went in for my consult I was told I was a candidate and that also my astigmatism would be corrected. I briefly met with Dr. Insler before my procedure and when I say briefly he literally spoke with me for 2 minutes and left. I thought that was truly unprofessional being that this was my first time there and I had some questions. After the procedure I just kept noticing how my vision was still blurry and at every follow up was just told that I was a "slow healer". Fine. Maybe so. However, I had moved to Indiana and found another location in Indianapolis and after countless times of going back and forth they finally figured out my problem... my astigmatism was NEVER corrected even though I was told that it was. I got a pretty BS excuse that every surgeon does different as they see fit, but I truly find that completely unacceptable when that was one of the problems that I presented along with my high prescription. That being said, I just had another procedure done 2 days ago by Dr. McGlothan at the Carmel, IN location and he was AMAZING. He was extremely detailed in telling me what I was going to expect and that yes, this time he was going to be sure my astigmatism was fixed. The next day, yesterday, I could already tell a huge difference in my vision no thanks to my first experience with this location in Orlando. I will never go there again. Maybe its the high volume of procedures that are being done but for something to be missed is just not acceptable especially for what youre paying. Luckily I got the "lifetime warranty" so I didnt have to pay anything for my visit on Friday cause if that werent the case someone would definitely be getting a phone call or two. So again, I can only speak from my own personal experience and I can firmly say that I will never recommend this location to anyone. If you want to travel to the Carmel office, I can and will only say positive things about them.

Worst experience... first of all, this was my first time considering lasik so i made an appointment for 1pm. When i came in, I realize that the lobby was beyond full. Perhaps 1 to 2 seats were available for someone to sit in. I sign in and realize that there were 5 other people with the same appointment time as I had. This to me was not ok because I feel that they just want to get people in the door. I waited 1 hr and I still wasent called. Whats the point of an appointment?? The gentleman in the front was nice but he did not aknowledge the reason they were backed up or perhaps mention it to anyone. He just sat at the desk, answered the phone occasdionaly and sat there playing on his phone. I came here because of a friend who came here and she had a better experience. I assume its because her appointment was in the early morning and not in the afternoon. I ended up walking out because waiting for an hour when you made an appointment is simply not ok. I wasted my time and gas driving 35 mins to this place. I guess i should be more review conscious as i did not see great reviews to begin with. I will continue my search for Lasik with another company.

I had my Lasik surgery three days ago, and I can see everything!!! I had terrible astigmatism and couldnt tell if a person was smiling or frowning from a few feet away without glasses or contacts, but no more! I can even read signs from a distance now! Im an author, so my eyes are very important for what I do. The Lasik Vision Institute helped me make my dream come true. From Leslie who helped explain everything to me before the surgery to Bryce who sat on my left during surgery and reminded me to keep breathing to Dr. Okoye who did the surgery with such presicion and care to Judith who answered my question on the phone after the surgery, you are all great! So many other names slip my mind right now, but the entire Lasik team was great. Wonderful service, kind people, great surgeons, and people who downright care about the comfort of the patient and the outcome of the procedure. I recommend this place to everyone who is looking to better their vision. P.S. My uncle did his Lasik surgery here a week before me. He was the one who recommend this place. I am definitely glad I took that recommendation.

If I could I would give this office ZERO STARS I would!!! I went in because my husband had a free consultation. In the end it was decided that P.R.K eye surgery would be the best eye surgery for him due to the Military. They asked if we could leave $100 deposit for the appointment and I agreed that it was fine, as long as I could get a refund back if the military happened to deny it, and his name was Jesse and he said it was fine. In the end the Military denied it because it is something that has to be done through them. Ever since, Ive been calling for the last 2 weeks to speak to the same guy (Jesse) who told me a refund would be fine but all of a sudden his boss went on vacation for a week so he didnt have access to give me a refund.... he told me to call today and when I call now all of a sudden hes on vacation! I feel like they are just trying to hide from me, and play games just to not give me a refund! What a horrible and shady buisness!!!! Wouldnt recommend it to anyone

I was done with the hassle of wearing my glasses and dealing with planning my day to include contacts or glasses for certain things. I went and did the consultation, and it is totally free, no hassle, no obligations, super easy. Their staff is so friendly, helpful and understanding and made me feel really comfortable. I was super nervous about the procedure, but with the help of Bryce (hes the man!), Lynn and Kim, talking me through everything, I was able to get through my anxiety! Dr. Inslar performed my correction and he clearly and easily told me what to expect and walked me through the whole procedure as it was happening. He is a little serious, but clearly he did a wonderful job! Overall, the procedure was intense, but not at all painful. Even in recovery now, I feel no pain, just dry eye that goes away with the eye drops. I now have crystal clear vision and am loving it!! I highly recommend this office and this company for Lasik correction!!

Overall great results from the experience, but set your expectations before you visit. Its a very busy place, so expect to wait even if you have an appointment. Research LASIK and try to get as many questions answered as possible before you get there (most of the wait time is other patients and each family member asking questions about the procedure). Be kind and realize everyone is likely. From my experience, the surgery doesnt last more than 10 minutes, but it was not a comfortable experience. It took all of my will power to try and keep both eyes open during the surgery, to stare at the green blinking light, and to remember to breathe. I also had trouble keeping my eyes open for 5 hours after the surgery. After that, my eyes involuntarily started opening back up, and I could already see close to 20/20.
