I went into the store in shadyside while the manager, James, was working. I told him flat out that I wasnt planning on buying anything so he didnt need to bother helping me. We ended up talking and he ended up helping me out quite a bit, suggesting frames and giving me his opinions. I left the store without purchasing anything as Id promised but a friend gave me a gift certificate to the place out of the blue a day later and so I called to have them set aside the pair Id settled on. James put them aside, allowed me to pay for them on the phone, and pick them up a week later. Very positive experience. I would never buy sunglasses in a store because theyre so much cheaper on the internet, but I was very pleased with the quality of service of eyetique. I definitely recommend them if youre willing to pay the standard retail mark-up for sunglasses.

Great selection, going from cheaper (not pearl vision cheap, nice cheaper) to very expensive. Staff is very friendly. The type that remember your name the next year when you show up for a new exam. Plan on always going to this chain, as well as this particular store for a long time. Good to know that they care, they know their stuff, and the have a wide selection. Also, if you ask for frames made in countries where there are not poor labor conditions, they either know or will find out quickly which lines you want.

I bought two sunglasses here last year. Today I went into get my prescription so I can buy another glasses online. They refuse to give it to me saying since I gave them the prescription, they cannot give it to me by law. Not sure if this is true or they are just saying that. In any case, they have caused me a huge inconvenience. They were fine giving it to me when I was getting my sunglasses.

It seems like a nice concept - selling glasses in a boutique setting. The problem is, the customer service is terrible. The salesperson I interacted with acted like he was doing me a favor by speaking to me. Definitely not going back to this place, unless I hear there has been an attitude adjustment.
