I have been a Floor and Decor customer ever since I started my company Kitchen & Bath specialist. Ive never had a problem with any location Ive been to until now. Needless to say I do a lot of business with Floor and Decor either by sending them all my customers to pick there floor tile and bathroom tile or going in myself and buying what I need. Last week we spent a little over $2,500 for a thousand square foot of flooring approximately 490 pieces of 12x24 porcelain tile it came in 2 pallets each pallet having approximately 245 pieces on each pallet. My experience was great in their showroom speaking with their workers everyone of them are super friendly and the site is clean, signs were easy to read as usual great experience at Floor and Decor... Until it was time to go and pick up my merchandise from around back. This is when we had the worst customer service experience Ive ever had in my life. Mike the guy with dreads (i have nothing against dreads it is the only way i can describe him) immediately came out confrontational and with an attitude. He was going to put a full pallet of 250 pecies of 12x24 porcelain tile in a quarter ton truck (toyota tocoma). My 78 year old dad the most easy-going person Ive ever met (Im not just saying that because hes my dad) asked Mike if he could please split the load up so he didnt ruin his truck and he would be back to get the rest later. This is when Mike completely flipped out, the way he was acting you would have thought someone insulted him or his family he literally riped open the pallet and started dropping boxes of tile in to the truck breaking a good amount of the first row. We blew it off and thought well he must of had a rough day and we can return what was broke didnt think much of it. No bubbles no troubles...right?!...WRONG. A week later we come back to Floor and Decor to buy Tile for a shower remodel and pick up the rest of the tile, spent another 500$ loaded it up ourselves and when it came time to go around back to pick up the rest of the tile we left 5 days before guess who was there to give us the worst customer service experience ever... Mike. If last week wasnt bad enough today was 10 times worse! We tried to explain to him and help him remember that we were there to pick up the other half pallet he loaded 5 days ago and shows him the paperwork for it. This is when Mike literally got in my face like he was going to fight me his Co workers standing behind him like they were gang members ready to fight. I couldnt believe what was happening at a store that I come to at least once a week and to me (not that Im Anyone special) a paying customer. This is when I realized that this guy has issues and I backed up and decided to talk to a manager. Thats when he said call a f#%@ing manager i dont f#%&ing care continuing his exceptional customer service. All in all Floor and Decor is a great place for all your remodeling needs Ive never had an issue until now at the Dale Mabry location and until they do something about this Mike character I will go out of my way to go to another Floor and Decor and I will send my customers elsewhere I understand there are a couple bad apples in all major establishments but this rotten apple needs to be dealt with he clearly does not enjoy his job or what he does I believe Floor and Decor needs to find somebody that will enjoy that job and provide proper customer service.

My worst Fathers day (6/18/17) with the terrible customer service at this store. No wonder why so many customers complained about it. I am a father of two full grown and married children. It was my first visit at this store in the morning to buy a few samples of tiles for my kitchen backsplash project. So, my wife and I picked up the 5 tiles with different colors as samples and put them on the cashers desk to pay. The skinny associate girl (I have nothing against being skinny, But I do not know her name and that is all I remember her) did not even say hi, smile and did not even flip them over looking for any barcode stickers. She said with the cranky face that she could not ring them up because she could not see any barcodes on them. Then she asked me to go to check them out. I was feeling like my boss ordered me the job to do. Anyway, I went back and took the photos of all the barcode stickers on the 5 tiles, and came back to the desk to find out other female associate working at the cashers desk. Not like other skinny girl, she was very nice, right away found the barcode stickers on the back of the 4 of the 5 tiles, and finished up ringing them up in a few seconds. So, I realized I did not have to take the photos of all 5 stickers If the skinny associate carefully looked for the barcodes on the tiles before she sent me back. Also, I was just wondering if trying to find the barcodes on the tiles was my job or her job even though I did it because she ordered me to do. In the afternoon I came back to the store to return the 4 tiles after we decided to keep one tile as a sample which we liked most, hoping the skinny girl was not there. When I was waiting at the return area with a big returns sign, oh no! the skinny girl was coming and asked me again to bring the heavy tiles to the her cashers desk rather than her coming to the returning desk. she did not even say hi or smile again. And, she asked me which tile I left at home when I gave her the receipt. But, I did not know the item number even though I knew how it looks. she started with the cranky face to put all the informations from the receipt ignoring my efforts even though I flipped them over trying to show her the barcodes on the back of the tiles even three times. I am just wondering why she works there if she does not seem to like her job and does not know how to serve the customers. Either she may need more training about the customer service or have to move on to other job she like better, for herself and the poor other customers. I thank other female associate and the store manager who were nice and quickly tried to address the matter. It was the most terrible fathers day. *** The office manager, Mr. Joe tried his best (from my opinion) to help his customers including me. He is a role model showing how you can serve your customers. Hopefully all the employees learn it from him and make everybody happy. Thank you very much for your help. A excellent job!!

This store is the worst of any Floor & Decor I have been to. I called in to check on the status of my order which has an ETA date of June 06, then moved to June 11. When I called on June 11, I was told that someone will give me a call to let me know what the status is. At 6PM today still no call. When I called in to check, I was transfer to an extension that rang 30 times then cut me off. When I called back, I was put on hold for another 55 minutes. I hang up and called back asking for a supervisor, after another hold for 15 minutes, she finally came on line and told me ETA is only an estimate time then rudely cut me off after I told her I know what ETA mean, just need to know if my order is in. You need to stay away from this store. I will drive there tomorrow to cancel my order. If they dont let me, will file a dispute with the credit card company. Update June 20, 2017. I have received a call from the store manager the following day. After listening to my story, he promised to make it right and he did. Not only that he handled promptly, he has also handled it in a very professional manner. I got what I have ordered and the store manager even help arrange for me to pickup additional material I need from another Floor & decor on the same day so I can finish up my project. I am now a happy customer and had just called the store manager to thank him for all the helps.
